Severn Valley Railway: Autumn Steam Gala: 17th of September 2021 (2024 Re-Edit)

Between the 16th and 19th of September 2021, the Severn Valley Heritage Railway put on its annual ‘Autumn Steam Gala’ event, where the railway operates most of its steam locomotive fleet to an intensive timetable. This gala would see two visiting locomotives; these being Ex-GWR/BR Pannier class no. ‘9466’, and Ex-GWR/BR Hall class no. ‘4953, Pitchford Hall’, which was a last-minute replacement for ‘6233, Duchess of Sutherland’, which couldn’t make it this year. It’s the first gala I’ve attended since the Great Central Railways ‘Autumn Steam Gala’ in October of 2019, and the first time I’ve travelled on the line in over four years. I was originally going to skip it due to the ‘fixed seat’ system that was originally in place when the gala was first announced, but as soon as the ‘Freedom of the Line’ system replaced it, I didn’t hesitate.
Due to this video’s length, it has been broken down into ‘Chapters’ where certain parts of the video have been labelled correspondently.
LS = Lineside; all shots taken from stations and vantage points.
WS = Windowside; all shots taken from the droplights of passenger trains. The locomotive/s hauling it will be added too.
