Is there something I'm missing? I have properly built units that are supposed to be the good ones for this boss on insane, I don't have S.Nonomi but I have a built up Aru and Azusa. Even then, no matter how closely I try to follow these guides, I can't do enough damage to even get out of the first phase. Fuck this boss
You're probably not figuring out each part of this boss. Right now the most common scenario is to get a green relic stack and break purple early. After that you really want to speedrun the green relic as fast as you can until you can focus solely on DPS. If you miss those two important steps this boss will feel way tankier than it should be.

If anything I can suggest you to try looking into the official Discord server and posting your units there, at least that way we can see the full picture there. discord.gg/nCDJNxCb I would say it's possible but you'd need to make up with more units, and well invested units while at it. But I need to know better which options you have.
Well you can, but her main gimmick is to ignore defense, Insane Hieronymus only has moderate defense which makes her less appealing. Both S.Nonomi and maybe Aru will outperform her.
Yes, you'll have to change the rotation a bit, because of the different costs and timings. Hanae can also be used to bruteforce the relic during debuff if you have enough investment.

What other healers do you have built? Do you have S.Shizuko, Azusa built? maybe Tracksuit Yuuka too while at it

Did Koharu really need to die in order to 1 team this boss?
Not really, but it helps rotate faster to your other DPS skills. I had 45s left so more than enough to 1 team.
