It's a little insulated bottle, so the temperature outside of the bottle should have nothing to do with it. Longevity of temp is more important than how it withstands conditions in the freezer

I believe the emissivity of the metal means those thermometers wont work. I think you need a piece of black tape to get an accurate reading.

I just recently ordered 2 water bottles & a 20 ounce cup due to their prices and colors compared to Yeti. I put an energy drink and ice cubes in my cup (which btw is open at the top since I put a straw in) and it's still super cold with ice cubes 5 hours later!! Love it! I wish they would just make their own straw tops for the 26 oz water bottles etc.

I put a large Daiquiri in my Rtic mug and four hours later still frozen on the third I hadn't got to yet. Great product! Cheers

Really? Makes sense. I'm really liking their products. After my first two surprised me, I just ordered 2 other things to test out.

I received mine last week and it does hold ice. I put ice cubes in the morning around 3:45 am before i go to work and it still has ice in it at 10 pm that night before I go to bed. However, the ice cubes bond together and then becomes a chunk of ice, and I am drinking cold water through out the day and I replaced the top with a yeti straw cap and the ice still last for a long time. I'm happy with RTIC.. Hope this helps
