Holy crap. Usually every cover of this song pretty much sounds the same once they hit the actual choir part, as if artists are afraid to mess with it. I dunno what you did, but you went right ahead and not only altered it, but took it to a whole new level. This actually feels worthy of the remake's final boss battle. It actually scares me a little.

He kept the couple of notes from the original track that sound right before "SEPHIROTH". EVERY remix, including the official ones, cut those out, but those notes really punctuate the chanting.

You are the ONLY person to remix this song and have it achieve the goal of the original on an even greater scale. Everything about Sephiroth was designed to make him scary. You were supposed to fear him. One Winged Angel definitely helps with that, and this remix is the only remix I've heard that's more intimidating than the original. Well done. You've earned a new sub.

But This. This places the villain in the "just try, even though you are the Player1, you Will Not defeat me. Bit try anyway, I will have fun with each of your bones" scenario. I wouldn't say scary, but Still. Perfect!
This is the only cover I have listened to capture the original's feeling: The murderous intent, the psychotic frenzy of contrasts outlining the schyzophrenic God that's about to crush you along with the circus of all creation.

It is typical in all the games of this genre, called "fantasy"; where the "bad guy" is the real protagonist, because this "bad guy" have a hard past and can think by him self.

You really hit his theme perfectly there. Sounds so much better than the Advent Children movie one personally. This really would make a perfect add for a game with him being more super-boss like. Definitely gets my up-vote and favourite.
Years have passed since this track and FF7 released. During this time, we had games with huge soundtracks like Nier and the souls series, but this song⊠this track imo is still the greatest videogame music that has EVER BEEN MADE.
And it will probably stay like this for years to come

(On my run Yuffie could deal upwards of 15000 damage with a death low and added cut combo. Add in your other party members and Sephiroth becomes a joke)

Iâve been on an eternal hunt for the perfect One Winged Angel remix. Iâm happy to say that the hunt has ended!
Dude, this could honestly be what the final version of One-Winged Angel will be when we fight Safer Sephiroth in Part 3 of Remake. Rebirth had a fast paced composition that was more like a "There's a powerful guy trying to kill me and I'm trying my hardest to not die", but this fits the true final battle perfectly. It perfectly invokes: "We are fighting someone way out of our league. We can't win, we are so f*cked." It captures the original awe of the original so well. Well done.
Now this music makes you FEEL like the whole world is under threat and weâre desperately trying to push back

This was a wonderful interpretation of a phenomenal song. I love the little nuances you added. I have two pieces of light advice/constructive criticism. Please don't take offense. 1. You were hesitant to embrace the discordant notes at the beginning (which, I know, is SO hard to embrace as a musician)...this, at least to me, is what sets the mood for the rest of the song. 2. At 1:36, I felt like these trumpets should have been more staccato and much stronger (really hard to describe in text). Only minor details in an otherwise flawless rendition.

I spent years and years thinking how could they create the perfect One Winged Angel theme on the remake. Then it came out and the night that i fought Sephiroth for the first time it was one of the best moments of my life. This was my favourite "what if" theme when the remake wasn't ready. But man it stills give me chills. One Winged Angel Rebirth is such a masterpiece and this one is PERFECT.

Honestly this is the only remix i have heard that does it justice in my opinion, great work on this one. I really like how true to the original it is, not too much was changed or re-arranged.
I've heard a lot of video game music, and One Winged Angel always rubbed me the wrong way. No matter how I tried, I could never listen to the song all the way through. Your remake of it made me realize its actual value as a high quality boss theme. The way you capture the terrifying atmosphere which is Sephiroth himself outshines any other version I've heard, and deserves to be in any remake of the game. I truly thank you for an engaging rebuilding of an old tune that I walk away with more appreciation for.

Dats one of my cousin's favorite villain of all time. She told me stories bout the time she played the original FF7 and play the music in her car during the 90s before CZcams was born. Dats was the edge of my seat when the choir sang "Sephiroth" which is amazing.

It feels much more powerful on many levels.. the beat is dominating the track from beginning to end, the choir fitting perfectly, sounds like a story of an Angel is being told,the ladder is somewhat more still giving the track a more intense feeling to it.. more real more present end even threatening to outright scary.
The only regret i am having for hearing it is.. its short! i'd love to have it longer with more variations of ladders more choir! I CANT HAVE ENOUGH OUT OF IT.

Sephiroth and Prompto: two VERY different reactions to finding out you were a product of experimentation.
True, but they also had very different backgrounds. Prompto wasn't as trained to kill as Sephiroth and had friends who supported him unconditionally, treating him like a regular person. While Sephiroth just lost his only close friends before he found out and those friends thought that the experiments made them, so Sephiroth as well, monsters. If Genesis and Angeal had stayed, Sephiroth probably wouldn't have reacted as horrible as he did.
