  • This is the moment you've been waiting for! - Will professional ski mountaineer, Caroline Gleich, be able to summit Mt. Vinson - the highest mountain on the frozen continent of Antarctica (4,892 meters (16,050 feet))?
After a long and tiring day of climbing, Caroline Gleich, Rob Lea and Jonathon Spitzer made it to Mt. Vinson's "High Camp." After a good night's rest and a clear weather window the following morning, the trip packed up their essentials (and their skis) for one final push to the top of the mountain.
But climbing and skiing Antarctica's highest mountain isn't easy, and as you'll see in this video (the 6th episode from Caroline Gleich's Antarctica Expedition), it takes a whole lot of guts, determination, knowledge and know-how to make it to the top of the continent's highest peak.
