No other supercar has grown on me like the LFA - didn't like it much a couple years ago, but now.... it really stands out in the field, and will be revered by enthusiasts for ages.

Same here bro.. Look at your comment of what year is!! And I still watch LFA videos on 2013❤❤❤ How many years have passed and no one has managed to beat that killer sound LFA. IF THIS CAR HAD A NAME FERRARI ( I've owned a Ferrari F430 for 5 years ) LAMBO ETC IT WOULD COST DOUBLE ☠💀 AND NONE OF THE HAVE EVEN HALF OF THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE LFA. JAPANS realy underestimated cars 😩 many people don't know what it means JAPAN POWER

All of Toyota’s really great engines are joint Toyota/Yamaha ventures. 2JZ-GTE, 3S-GTE, 4A-G(z)E, 1UZ-FE etc etc. My 3S-GTE wears a Yamaha badge prominently on the valve cover

I think the lfa is the most understated supercar ever - if that's even possible. if this thing had a Ferrari or lambo badge on it, people would go crazy.
Personally, I'd pick this over any other car. Only thing coming close to it is the f12.
3 years later, it is one of most overrated car🤗. No manufacturer can make new car sounds like that.
I'm not kidding here, I have this cars exhaust sound as my alarm when I wake up.

The LFA is like that quiet librarian chick who nobody looks at, but then joins a pageant contest and blows away the competition with her voice, looks & smarts (tech).

This is, one of the most gorgeous engines ever produced. This, alongside with the Carrera GT, amazing automobiles.
Toyota needs to make a true Supra, with this engine, or some other all-time great Toyota designed unit.

We all know it's too expensive and you can buy million of GTR, other things and stuff. Yeah, but that car... Could be 10million or whatever, i will always find it... Mesmerisingly brilliant.

Alan Gonzalez They asked Yamaha to specifically tune the sound of the exhaust of the car. Not performance or anything. Just the sound of it.

@@mr.irrelevant8826 reliability and servicing costs are quite different. This car will cost a heck-ton to maintain and run, but if kept reasonably well, one can have faith in it to not break down or throw tantrums or have a mind of its own.

My only dream exotic car. The LFA is one of a kind Masterpiece without having predecessor nor successor. This is it! 500 of them in all. Its engine sound alone is worth half million dollars and smiles 😊
The fact is 95% of us just don't have the talent to get anywhere near this cars potential if you want this car and can afford it then good on you I'd rather have this then any gtr/458/Lambo regardless off speed this car would put a smile on your face and that's all that counts
so true, people always talking about numbers but at the end all that counts is the experiences the car gives you and how it puts a smile on your face regardless conditions or speed.

Frankly speaking, it hasn't got the best performance figures in the world. But no Ferrari or Lamborghini sounds as good as this car. The best sounding supercar in the history of automobile. This is the only supercar that can give you true orgasm.

@MJ Mail Factually? How? The 458 is pretty unique, but the Enzo is just a normal Ferrari noise. In my opinion (and most others it seems) the LFA stil trumps both of them.

Ferrari, Aston Martin etc compared to this engineering masterpiece is like comparing a bullet train vs a jet fighter. This jet fighter is amazing.

I wonder if the snap away has more to do with how fast the car revs and the immediate engine response once on the throttle and less about the rigidity of the carbon fiber.

I would buy 2 Subaru BRZ Limited-MT, 2 top of the line 2016 Miatas, keep 50k for future mods and maintenance, and cash the rest. That should give me enough fun and thrills for the rest of my life.

Older petrol-heads will remember the addictive sound of the Audi S1 5-cyl rally supercars. V10s somehow have that quality too. V8s tend to be fart-machines compared to this symphonic soaring.
the looks ( its relative btw), the stats it have, the fact it made by the same people that make sc430, and very high price would mean this is total failure. yet it become a masterpiece. there is no reasonable car reviewer hate this car. some of them put this car as the best they ever driven. Both Jeremy Clarkson and The Stig say its the best car they want to have. Masterpiece from lexus

I remember when this car was launched and folk slated the price, bargain, worth millions now.
So that's where the GT86 got its tail-happy DNA from.
Sad.. many people never realised back in the day how awesome it was.. ( just like its asking price back then).. Only a few people with resources to buy and appreciation of what it truly was bought them.. And now.. It came true and its is more costly than original asking price

This car should have been released in 2008 and not 2011. Today, here in Dubai, the price is already at least 1mUSD. In 2012, exotic cars released at that time with almost similar base price are mostly depreciated today such as Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 for only 250kUSD. This how important LFA is.
The LFA pretty much has similar horsepower as the Gallardo & 458 and this guy said "not quite Ferrari or Lamborghini numbers" lol the hatred
If they wanted "a bit more driver feel in the car" then shouldn't they have gone with a manual (which depending on the driver is actually faster than that crappy single clutch trans anyway).

Best sounding car ever and that is that, it has slower transmission than the golf, it's pretty heavy for a full carbon chassis car, it's not some car you wanna look at and it's heavily overpriced. It's flawed big time and yet it's hard car to hate because it sounds so good

This, the BMW E60 M5 and the Porsche Carrera GT are the greatest sounding cars ever made. There's just something very special about a N/A V10 engine that the horrible modern turbo cars can only dream of competing with.
Lamborghini make some glorious V12s but I much prefer a high revving V10.
The sound alone is worth the money.

Absolutely not. Twin turbos would muffle and mute the glorious engine noise the LFA is known for.

B.Eduardo engine is all Lexus, exhaust is tuned by Yamaha, including vents from the intake leading into the car for more of that V10 noise.

Fast forward and the sports car world does not think much of the LFA. Its worth far less than the original price vs other exotics. The 911R is currently selling for 3 times the sticker.
The LFA can be had for less than its original price as a new car! Except for the GTR Japan can't seem to make a sports car people want.

normally aspirated v10 and not that gorgeous car , and looks really dangerous for that amount of money...
Fadi Lafi It's the japanese kind of styling. Can't really fault them for trying. Also they were selling each of this car at a loss when first launched. Reasons being is they wanted to showcase their in-house carbon fibre production capabilities (including the weaving machineries which was not cheap at all;they produced their own CF) in a road car. Also you get a personal real life assistant with the car 24/7. Just a simple in-car call ask you can ask them literally anything,anywhere in the world. And limited production too hence the price tag.
+Fadi Lafi Also to add to what my good friend just said. this engine is made and tuned by Yamaha, its the fastest revving engine 0.6 sec to red line from idle, Smaller in size than a regular V8, weights less than 3.5 V6 in camry. the rev response is so fast that the analog dials couldn't keep up with rev changes.
+Altruistic that weaving machine is a piece of art. and perhaps the only machine in the world that will weave seamless carbon fiber cylinders. on the other hand other manufacturers (like koenigsegg and pagani) have to roll sheets of fibers in dies to make such complex shapes. staring at the mechanical orgy is blissfully orgasmic.
ctawab True. I've actually watched a video of it somewhere but I forgot which one. Seriously it was really a marvellous engineering they got there.
Now costs as much as an Aventador SV, triple as much as a 458, 5 TIMES a corvette, and same price as 2017 Ford GT. It's a spectacular car but that's just too much to digest.
