Apologies for the absence, I've been working on a larger video, it might take a bit to finish. in the mean time, I've made this. enjoy. song credit: • Helldivers 2 Main Them...
For brood commanders you should aim for their legs instead, they die instantly when you shoot off three of them. Added benefit is you can interrupt their breach calls if you pop off the back leg or both front legs.
It doesn't overheat faster or slower. only effect cold or warm has on the weapon is the cooldown. Brood commanders are half a heatsink worth of fire to the face. just about the same as everything similar. On PC I've noticed the foliage isn't a problem anymore since the last Warbond dropped
I don't like the sickle. It doesn't have great damage. Shotguns are way better for bugs and for automatons I bring the scorcher, diligence counter sniper rifle, pummeler with shield, or dominator. These weapons are IMO much more effective. Also there is no problem with the ammo management since there is plenty of ammo boxes on the map and you can call in the ressuply. Avoiding unnecessary fights is the key in this game.
I used it quite a lot in our previous major order to get the new mech (bc i haven't unlocked the scorcher and didn't have the dominator yet at that time), and i have to say it's suprisingly good against bots. Yes, you don't pierce medium armor, but that's why you use a varied loadout. I used it alongside the Quasar canon, grenade pistol and stun grenades and it did wonders. Having infinite ammo and very long range can be vital, especially when the team needs to split up to clear objectives faster or retrieve samples, because you don't need to ressuply. You just need to be good at aiming for weakspots and use the rest of your loadout to compensate for the weapon's weaknesses. Against walkers i just shot a single grenade at the top of their front plate, which is a one shot if done right. When dealing with devastators, the scope allows for easy head or stomach shots, and if you have some trouble aiming against heavy ones, you can always stun them or use the Quasar since it has infinite ammo as well. For every other type of heavy target (hulks, towers, tanks, factory striders), i could deal with them using the Quasar on their weakspots. With this loadout, i was able to clear out a third of a difficulty 7 map on my own without dying once or calling a single ressuply when the rest of my team was having more trouble (even though i had to deal with three dropships at a time sometimes). If you have good positionning and moove constantly to take advantage of the weapon's range and cooldown, it can outclass the dominator in certains scenarios, mostly stealth.
one of the worst weapons tbh and for sure won't require a nerf of any type, because its just that bad (please AH leave it alone)
Ikr, same with Scorcher, Incendiary Breaker and Dominator. All trash that needs no nerf….
😃
They already nerfed it, so rest assured it’s safe. This is the Sickle *post* nerf

this is literally the only weapon I use. - the fact that you dont need to loot supplies for ammo makes its amazing

Thanks for the info, they need to word that better in their description.
Not the first time i let a small detail slip. And it won't be the last. Such is life.
Also big win if they did fix the foliage.
Heat afrects cooldown, cold does slow heat build up and fire rate.
Incendiary Breaker is go to for bugs because when you have to deal with shriekers it absolutely shreds them with just a single pellet of fire
Hot planets don't seem to make it heat up faster, just cool down slower.
I really love LAS-16 Sickle and Las-98 Laser Cannon combo on bugs and automatons
incendiary breaker > sickle
Support:
AMR(bots)/flamethrower(bugs)
So where are Tips and Tricks?)
I hope they make a new version that is medium armor piercing.
I dont think your sickle build up speed is affected by the temperature, only the cool down speed is.
How much dps of this gun

you don't deserve your helldiver uniform
@@gowther3063 stfu kid. Everyone has a different preference. I am not hating on OP's video, just stating my PoV.
