    Both are sick bikes. There are pros and cons of each. I decided to go with the Z125. Love it. They get a lot of attention on the road. Would love a track day! Thanks for sharing

  • @VgoRob
    @VgoRob Před 8 lety +1

    Not exactly a fair fight as the Grom does not appear to be fully stock. Still, both bikes look like a hoot! The Kawi does have one big advantage and that is the extra 1.9L of fuel. That's a big difference on such little bikes as far as range is concerned.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 8 lety

      The grom has subtle modifications done such as brake lines and an airbox mod but that's about it. Stay tuned for a part 2 to this video featuring both of these bikes plus another mini machine thrown in the mix!

    how do they feel power and speed wise, ive heard the grom is better low end but the z125 walks it after 3rd gear

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 8 lety +6

      Power wise they are very similar. The grom has a little better top end actually but initial take off, Z was killing it almost every time. Take a look at our blog article posted in the description for an in-depth look!

    • @nicholstop8161
      @nicholstop8161 Před 7 lety +2

      All the dealers around me go hella low on grom prices and there's tons of eBay and Craigslist brand new ones for cheap af compared to msrp. I'm not actively shopping anymore cuz I already got my grom but everyone was selling the Kawasaki for straight msrp pretty much. I got my grom from a powersports place that went bankrupt and it had 5 miles on the odometer when I got it for like 2500

      Hayden Honda that is a good idea. You've got my interest. If you come up with the terms we can see if we can put a budget on this and make a mini series. Being a slightly taller rider, the GROM provided a little more comfort and leg room to maneuver the bike.

  • @mariodanielramirezvillanue1735

    @jagerjack4388 Před 8 lety +1

    which one would be better to take on the freeway?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 8 lety +4

      Neither due to the fact that the top speed on these bikes aren't that high (around 65mph) and the speed limit for most highways is 70mph. They're better suited for city and backroad riding so we would not recommend them for any highway use.

  • @ramongasca709
    @ramongasca709 Před 8 lety +1

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 8 lety +1

      If your commute involves only city and backroad riding, then yes. If you have to travel on the highway then it will definitely not work for that.

  • @crypticreality8484

    I think the Grom is better if you 5 ft 10 and up. The z is better for shorter riders. I'm 5 ft 7 and my knees tuck unlike the rider here. That's why I think Z is good up to 5ft10 and Grom for taller riders.

      @TSTindustries  Před 7 lety

      We would recommend you go with more of a Naked-Sport Touring motorcycle and feel out a lot of the different options they offer to see what feels best for you. There are different things you can do to bikes to make them better for you like changing handlebars, shocks, or rearsets to make the ride better and more comfortable.

    This bike is a "just for fun" orientated bike or is a good option to be my first bike?
    I want a bike for work (my work is near my house)

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 7 lety +1

      In your circumstance, this bike would be a perfect candidate for your first time purchase. These bikes can be considered "just for fun" but at the same time, they do teach you the fundamentals of riding. The power and weight ratio is significantly lower when compared to a sport bike so honestly, it does come down to your preferences. We will say when it comes to cost and long term, these smaller bikes definitely shine in that regard.

    • @gabriellugo3570
      @gabriellugo3570 Před 7 lety

      TSTindustries OK thank you very much. It's that I've seen a lot of videos of the Honda Grom and I always see that they use it for fun and not as a motorcycle for everyday use. It would be my first motorcycle. I am in doubt whether to choose this one or the ktm Duke 390

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Před 7 lety +1

      No problem at all Gabriel. Now that you mentioned the other bike in question, we would say go for the Duke 390. It has a couple extra cc's which would make it more usable for the street when compared to the grom. It is slightly bigger than the grom (size wise) but you will still enjoy riding it just as much..

    • @TSTindustries

      Think about the fact that there are more aftermarket upgrades available for the Grom. I don't know what you are going for with one of these but if you are going to race it I would consider the Grom. If it's just a fun little bike you are going to play on then the Z125 is less money and just as fun ion its stock form.
