Discovering the remotest Nunnery in Central Tibet

Reting valley is located in Central Tibet Autonomous Region. The most popular destination in Reting valley is The Reting Monastery. Reting monastery was founded in 1054 after Atisha passed away. Scholar Dumdhompa founded the main temple, in around 1055-1056.

Thank you for giving us a window into your culture. We do not get much news of present day Tibet here in the West. I lived in Nepal for 6 months for a college program in Bodha near the Stupa in Kathmandu in 1985 and saw many Tibetan refugees arriving there directly from Tibet.
