    Thank you! I easily repaired my LED light bulb thanks to your info and I only got electrocuted ONE time. I was just discharged from the intensive care unit at the community hospital after 1 months and Im happy to say, the light bulb still working after I got out of the hospital! Once my house is rebuilt after the fire burned down my house, I'm going to fix another light bulb with your advice!

      @@MonacoDyanstyYorkshirelV перед диодами ставится токограничивающий резистор, который имеет некоторый диапазон, а не жетско ограничивает ток. +/- 1-2 диода ничего не поменяют. Ток на оставшиеся не возрос.
      А вот заменой токоограничивающего резистора можно немного снизить нагрузку на диоды. Таким образом лампа проживет намного дольше. Таких видео очень много.

      "How is nobody commenting about [...]" you may be right, but I think sometimes the circuit is a constant current supply with a range of voltages. If that's the case then you have one less led that is contributing to the global heat and you may end up with an even more longevive bulb. It really depends on how the supply circuit is made.

    Plug it into the 230v power supply while on and mess with the connections with a tiny wire. What could possibly go wrong. Even better... Do it while standing in a full bath. The tingle keeps you awake. 🤔😐 Or make you take an extended dirt nap.

      I personally find it's better if you attempt it standing in the shower 🚿... Also if you find that the water is a tad cold it's a good Idea 💡 to take an electric bar heater in with you...

      It's an LED bulb, the power running through each of the lights is tiny. The only dangerous bit is when he opens it further and there's a huge capacitor... Don't touch that.

      @@chrisc9993 Inrush current can be just as much as an old school incandescent until it fully powers. This is why wall switches have two ratings nowadays on them, the higher is total wattage that can be fed for incandescents and the lower, modern LEDs.

    The best thing to do is open your dustbin, let the old bulb fall in and close it. Go to the shop, buy a new one and replace it. That way you can be rest minded when you or the kids starts to on and off the lights.

    Why is no one complaining that when you buy these bulbs they show a life of ten years or more for calculations but typically they last no longer than an old bulb.

      IVE GOT MOST OF THE HOUSE WITH LED FOR OVER 10 YEARS. JUST HAD 2 GO OUT. THATS 2 OF 20.

      It's the on/off switch that kills them prematurely.. LED bulbs like to stay on after they've been turned on. Turning them on&off sveral times per days greatly reduces their service life.
      ... then there's the "planned obsolescence" factor, but that's a totally different rabbit hole

      I use LEDs rated for 20 years. If you read the fine print, it says "used 5 hrs per day". In actual practice, I have to change out the LED every 4 to 5 years, with about 8-12 hrs of use per day.
      I need to change out normal bulbs every 6-12 months.

      Level 1 - shorting a device that is broken open can cause heat, fire, melting. Bulbs need to last hundreds of hours contiguous operation - can you guarantee it will be stable and safe that long?
      2. Wadding aluminum foil in to a mains rated plug is toddler with a fork levels of idiocy. It isn't stable, safe, dates for current or heat or anything. You could get intermittency leading to sparks if it heats up.
      3. Devices like this are sealed for corrosion issues. Well it was. Corrosion can also lead to shorts, intermittency, sparks...

    The constant current chip will spread the current to the other LEDs so they will burn out quicker. You could solder a new LED.

      @me4654 you shouldn't modify electrical appliances unless you have adequate training. For your own safety and those around you. Only an electrician or other trained person should be attracted to this video. A light bulb is like 3 bucks.
