3D Printed Fifa World Cup Replica Trophy

3D printed on my Wanhao D5S at 14'' in Dove grey 2.85mm elefilaments by 3dprintworks. I did run into a problem at the end of the print but it was easily fixed using meshmixer. I then primed it with U-POL high 5 high build primer and then airbrushed with Vallejo air metallic gold I then finished it with a Loxley artist gloss varnish.

I got the continents to about 60% mirror finish but your right the real one is a lot shiny. The lights I used created a lot of glare on video cheers

Any reason why you have used a mesh infill for this model? Won't it save on fillament if you could increase the wall thickness by a bit and keep the inside hollow?
The end product looks kick-ass by the way 👍

I am asking this because I want to make one for myself as well. I intend to make it hollow with an opening at the bottom so I can fill it with some material to add weight and then seal it. Theoretically, it seems possible. Please let me know if I will have any practical issues in making the model hollow on the inside.

Blazz13 don't know if you have see the models on thingiverse as non of them are very accurate to the real thing and I think the price is ok there are some online charging a lot more cheers
