You could have Digged a hole to the void and covered.the hole with grass and before covering the hole with grass throw the Item in instead of placing it in the void because thrown items cant walk

day one mystery: when you tossed it in the lava it did not burn and went right through and when it realised you guys are gone it came to the surfase. day two mystery: because of the huge explosion it went up and when you left it came down. day three mystery: the statue does not need to breath air and when it realised you guys are gone it came to the surfase. day four mystery: the pillagers did not notice and the cursed statue probably got angry and did all that distruction. day five mystery: it teleported or it was strong enough to break obsidian. day six mystery: it has the ability to be invisible and can jump high. day seven mystery: it got peace instead of violence. it has realized that you have understood the power of pease that is why it seteled down. how do i know this? well it is beacause i am the one who put the button in the first place.
