the thing about Santigold is its frustrating, when i first hear her new stuff im like "im not sure about this" then 5 years later it sounds amazing, this has happened twice and im determined for it to be different this time so f- it just buy the vinyl, if you don't like it now you will in 5 years when everyone normalizes what she was doing 5 yrs ago.

Yeah, I don’t feel that way about this album, it’s fire fire all the way, I’ve listened to all the tracks and it’s all top level and powerful and shy at the same time. And it’s political Fire fire fire
@@jadiellima8922im down w about 3-4 tracks so far it grows on me, she's really advanced as far as setting trends and im trying to understand. high priestess is my fav so far.
Because she is like avant-garde and super arty. Sometimes we are not ready for so much goodness and ear goodness.

Like this song a lot, but can't help hearing the "ooh ooh ooh" parts as "poo poo poo".
Here’s some truth if nobody else is giving it to you. Your first album was good, some really good stuff, good enough that I paid to see you. Since then nothing you have produced has been good. I suggest digging deeper because you’re not reaching anybody with this. And the whole point of music is to reach people, and to do that you have to look inside yourself and take the things you find there and put them out for the whole world without reservation. It also helps to find some good musicians to work with, surrounding yourself with the best people makes all the difference for any musical artist.
Your truth is your truth. Completely subjective. Not - the truth.

@@AaronBenjBrownthis is santigold we are talking about. She is not a mainstream artist. This is her first record released independently. Disparate Youth and Run the Road have reached millions of people and are part of that "not good" category you mentioned above and they weren't on her first record. So I don't know what your justification really is.
Here's some truth if nobody else is giving it to you. Nobody cares about your opinion when you are being a rude piece of shit. Make your own music if you don't like this and stop giving unnecessary criticism, simple as that.
@@AaronBenjBrown I get what you’re saying, but that’s not totally how industry works. Santigold worked with other artista and maybe she knows better about industry than we could know from the spectator’s point of view. Don’t patronize an artist with such long time on the road.
