I never had Molly as a kid, but when I saw the new 35th anniversary dolls, I got the STRONGEST urge to buy her, and since I’ve been in Orlando this week, I went the the AG store and picked her up today. 🥰 She’s adorable and I’m so happy to have her!
Please tell me that I am not the only one who, in the mid 2000s, would purchase my dolls based upon which one I thought AG would retire next......Those were dark times, dark times indeed
Oldest Molly definitely the best. I seem to find Molly dolls second hand more than anything. I've found three so far. One was from the late 2000s or just before they retired her (I'd have to look). Then, I found two (one at a flea market and one at an antique store) from the early to mid 90s. They are my favorite because they are so chunky. All of them were in horrid shape and their hair was ratty and knotted, but I was able to restore them. The "newer one" is for my daughter to play with, but the Pleasant Company Molly's are display only. Molly was never my favorite, but she has really grown on me through the years and I find her so adorable. I'm thinking I might like a 35th anniversary Molly just to own a pristine one.
I decided to get Molly first. But, I like the Beforever meet outfit. I want to get more Molly books. I am just looking for a good deal. I don’t like the Beforever doll’s glasses. Because, the brown plastic is too modern. I like the new doll because she gives us the best of both worlds.

I have an entire room in my parent's house with American Girl dolls, accessories, furniture, etc. (Have all the historical dolls and friends, clothes, furniture, etc. Bitty babies, American Girl Today (or whatever they call them now lol) and some girls of the year from the early 2000's ) from that time and I realized after finding your channel (specifically you looking at old catalogs) I realized that probably 98% of everything I have has been retired. I'm 25 and would love to get back into collecting and get everything I have out of storage to display and show off my collection online!!!
Absolutely love the original Molly. I too got the 35th Anniversary Molly and am so happy I did. I went in AG with every intention of getting a 35th Anniversary Samantha and looked at every single one but as soon as I saw Molly I picked out the perfect one and got her for Mother’s Day! Love your videos too BTW ☺️
My sister got a Molly once year for Christmas but she ended up being lost in a house fire, so excited for the 35th anniversary releases! Very excited to see if I’m able to get my hands on one of the new dolls

I got my Molly in 2006 as well (got it from the AG Place in NYC). However, although I was 10, I used a regular hairbrush, so her hair is a wreck. Been thinking about sending her off to the AG Doll hospital for a while...
I have a Samantha doll from 1990 and I had every intention of getting a new Samantha but when I saw how well they have redone Molly I decided to go with her for now. FedEx has no prediction. I might have to call them tomorrow. I'm sad. The doll's now backordered. I don't know what FedEx did with the package.

Honestly I’m so torn. I’m an adult bjd lover now, and I use blank bjd like art projects. so I typically don’t buy this type of doll anymore. But part of me really wants to get this Molly since I really wanted her when I was a kid, but never got her. I just can’t justify spending 100+ dollars for a lower quality than what Ioved ag for when I was a kid. I suppose I’ll just hope to get lucky and find an older version in a second hand shop for a reasonable price
I love AG I have Sagie I love her film and I like Molly I have the new Molly as the mini doll and I have the old Emily Mini and a few others and I am buying some more clothes for sagie from eBay

I wish the AG Girls Dolls was all vinyl like the Adora Be Bright Girls Dolls & Hearts For Hearts Girls Dolls because I can't deal with cloth bodies on dolls. | the Cloth bodies gets easily dirty too fast whereas vinyl bodies don't like their cloth bodies counterparts.

The lines in the Kirsten clothing are called grow lines as girl grows the mom can lengthen the dress

No the eyebrows are not all the same! The BeForever Molly has feathered and I can’t remember off the top of my head what the 35th anniversary doll has
