It's been so many years, and I think what a lot of people got wrong was about how ELFs really think about the whole scandal. Honestly, the SJ boys are already of age to get married already. I do understand from many ELFs that if the girl was great for hyuk, people would have been receptive to the idea of them dating. And this is especially so because we all knew how much Hyuk admires IU. But what we didn't like was when he was left to be the one being teased and held responsible for the entire scandal when she was involved in it too. Sure, her reputation suffered, but the large part of K-netz blamed Hyuk for it even though SHE was the one who released the photo. She bounced back quickly after that and continued to secure digital and album sales, even publicly dating again after that, while Hyuk was left to suffer the repercussions of her actions. He himself also said that due to the accident he suffered for many years and it was one of the lowest points of his life. But of course, this is a very subjective POV and also because I'm Hyuk-biased. I'm just putting out my opinion out there, and that everything is not what it always seems. ELFs truly care for Hyuk's happiness, and we want him to be happy, just like how IU fans truly care for her as well. We're not just some crazy fans who go around hating on her just because she's dating him, we just felt that this whole situation was very unjust.
