ℹ️ About the Episode:
If you're in the mood to escape to Nova Scotia, relax, and see the stunning sights (with a few dad jokes along the way), this is your episode. We don't set out to create a theme in the videos-the destination does that for us. This waterfront site and stunning landscape created the perfect location for a KYD episode. In this episode, we pack up in Quebec City and make our way to Glooscap, Nova Scotia. For those who live in New Brunswick, we know your province is equally stunning, with friendly and welcoming people. We hope to make it back this way again so we can take the time to dig a bit deeper. For this season, and our first visit to Nova Scotia, we're hitting the postcard destinations. One of the highlights of Glooscap was hiking along the shoreline of Soley Cove as the tide was receding. The tides here often surprise visitors with just how fast they rise. If you're not careful, you can find yourself in a dangerous situation-so we hired a hiking guide. Anna with Fundy Contemplations did more than provide expert guidance on the tides. She shared so much local knowledge and made our experience even better. If you visit Glooscap, NS, during your travels, we highly recommend you look Anna up!

I've never seen someone walk such a fine line, than Mark explaining why you should keep you hitch ball properly lubricated 🤣
I noticed that too when editing.... "How do I say this in such a way, that it actually has a chance making the edit" and it still hardly made it!
The look on her face when he was explaining the need for lubricating the hitch ball was priceless.
Trish and Caleb did very well not cracking up. Harvey Korman couldn’t have done it 😂
And then, he's like enough about hitch lubrication, let's hike.
It was the PERFECT transition!
We are going to miss Caleb’s charm and humor when he goes off to college! Such a great kid!
Who says Caleb won't want to have his own YT channel?
Who knows?
Me too. I see him in business though I do not know his skills, his people skills are excellent. I would also say that college isn't everything- this coming from a person with five degrees!
I’ve never commented before, ever. Caleb is genuinely … a comedic force!
Nice to see you down here! Thanks. I'll tell him.
Caleb!! Dogs pee on those!!
When he ate the dandelion I literally lol’d 😂
@@KeepYourDaydreamwhat is the fuel situation up there regard cost????
For sure. All 3 are so funny. Marc always makes me laugh- gloves in the Glove box , of course 🥸bahahaha
I had to laugh right away as Caleb says "is it an old siren" while putting his ear to a pencil sharpener. I have to say I'm not sure if it's almost everywhere you go that looks so wonderful or if it's the people in the video that makes it fun 😊
Gotta "keep that hitch ball lubricated". Laughed so hard with Tricia’s expressions. Would love to see the out takes of that part. 😂
Truly miss Tori and Carson but realize they must grow up and follow their passions but it will truly be sad when we are not blessed with Caleb’s humor…..OMG 😂
Caleb is too funny, and we can’t scratch our hitch ball! Lol Absolutely love all the great shots, especially the beautiful flowers with the bees and the Ariel drone shots. The editing and music were impeccable. Safe travels and thank you for bringing us to all these wonderful places that we may only see through your camera lens.
I hope that Ariel drone is waterproof!
I laughed harder than I should, then rewound it, and laughed even harder the second and third time. I think it was the eye shift from Trish where I lost it at 2:47 as Mark continued his oblivious monologue. Well done.
I love Caleb's sense of humor.
Almost spit my coffee out on more than one occasion in this episode! Mark’s hitch ball story, Trish’s face & Caleb!!!
I just watched you outlining your route through Nova Scotia. You mentioned Sydney but not LOUISBERG. Plan to take a day there. IT IS A PLACE YOU WILL NEVER FORGET! Take particular note of the French Military. Then when you observe the pagentry in Ottawa (which is British) compare. The authenticity of the life that was there when the Fort was actually in use is an experience you will never witness again. It is living HISTORY.
Noted.
@@KeepYourDaydream +1 You should go to Louisbourg.
+1000% on this. I know you’re not museum people (I’ve learned to accept that such folks exist!), but this is no ordinary museum. Not to be missed.
The end, “camp counselor Caleb” is an absolute gem!
I use an 18" piece of old "white water hose" with a shut off valve attached to attach to the Zero-G hose. It fits in the water fill fitting and you can start-stop water flow at the trailer, preventing overflow.
Great video. Caleb at the end... priceless!
Caleb is hysterical! The landscapes are amazing, thank you for sharing.
Lol! I love the last bit of video of Caleb making a funny story and Marc taking about not scratching the ball (hitch) 😅😅😅
Caleb can never go away he is so talented and brings joy.
Not taking anything away you, Mark and Trish, but Caleb is the star. He absolutely cracks me up. Your whole family is terrific. You should be very proud.
I just love, love, love Caleb! He is so hilarious! Don't let him go off to college! We'll miss him too much! Nova Scotia looks beautiful!
I second this motion. We will miss Caleb too much 😢
Just what I was thinking! Caleb will be missed.
The lupins at Glooscap campground were lovely in the evening light. So pretty
I am going to miss Caleb when he goes to college.
My husband and I have visited over 40 something countries and Nova Scotia is my absolute favorite. The lupine were beautiful.
I live in Nova Scotia and I am a seasonal camper in Sherwood Forest, Coldbrook which is very close to Wolfville. Although I have been a seasonal camper there since 1993 but when my husband was living, we used to take our trailer out to other places as well. We belonged to a square dance organization that went camping and square dancing. They had different clubs that were all across Canada and the US.
Must see TV right here....best part of Sunday night!
I think having Charlie as a traveling companion adds a lot to your adventures. That part of Nova Scotia reminds me of Ireland. Really traveling with your "home" has got to be better than just renting a place when you holiday. Even going to some place new just having something familiar and cozy makes the traveling part more fun!
Trish and Caleb laughing at Marc going on and on and on about greasing the hitch and ball...THE BEST 😂😂!! Marc, don't you dare change 😂😂!!
this channel is NOT going to be the same after Caleb goes to college :( He had me in stitches! I can't believe how much he's grown in the 5+ years I've been watching y'all and yet he's always been funny :)
Am so happy you are enjoying our scenic N S, we so proud of our home. You reallly are showing and seeing our 😊 friendliest too.
Followed route 66 and drove through, panhandle of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona. Then we end up going up to Nevada , Utah, Wyoming.
I have seen so much of diverse landscape on this trip. This was one of my Favorite Vacations.
We even drove through Utah and, I really love it there. Couldn't believe how much Las Vegas had changed.
One of your absolutely best videos.
There is a special quiet magic in places like Nova Scotia that are hard to capture on film. They stay with you long after you leave.
I know people keep saying how much we will miss Caleb, and we will, but I can’t imagine how much Marc and Trish will miss him. How will y’all manage? Charlie is really going to have to step up to the plate!
Great episode! Such beautiful places! Caleb's so funny.😂 I just love him. He always makes me laugh!
Great video! Beautiful scenery, Thank y’all for taking us along ❤
So glad to see you're enjoying my home province. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for you in Halifax.
Triple thumbs up. What a great video on so many levels. That camping spot and all that was there was unbelievable, then Caleb at the end was a true highlight.
What a beautiful place! My dad was born in Sussex New Brunswick and grew up across the Petitcodiac River from Moncton. We went up there when I was a kid and we had a blast. I remember how beautiful it was and that was. The Tidal Bore was daily entertainment for us as we watched come up the river from the Bay of Fundy. Hope y'all had an opportunity to see that. It's quite the sight!
I lived in Riverview across from Moncton. I had front row seating to that river. What a force it is.
@@fkyboy76 - Grammy's house was in Riverview at 620 Coverdale Road. The house is long gone now and place is all built up.
Thanks for showing all great places yall go,and all the things involved in camping it helps so many wanting to go camping. i pray blessings and safe journey !
Great episode, beautiful scenery. Wandering around where there are not crowds is my favorite type of traveling
What a super episode!
The Canadian Maritime Provinces have been number one on our list for a while.
We’ll get there soon enough, but thanks for this lovely introduction. Just blown away by how beautiful everything is.
Caleb, look around you. You ARE living the dream!
(I think he knows it)
That shot with the Lupines took my breath away, and then I almost exploded looking at that beach - absolutely, incredibly breathtaking! What a great video - I was in awe of the scenery, loved - loved - loved the paintings/prints that Trish found, and then the Boys made me snort laugh more times than I can count. Caleb is in a league all his own. He's a walking, talking funny bone. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us. Safe travels!!!
So nice of Anna for the tours and teaching about the safety of the tides
Happy to see the travels are back!
Such a fun episode! We’re loving the Nova Scotia travels and camping. Great scenery and Caleb’s camp councilor routine.
Marc you are my absolute hero, I am so proud of you for including detailed instructions on how to keep the internal parts of your coupler from becoming dry and working…you know the way they should.
You are still the best.
Ps I had to re play the instructions three times in order to understand it fully, thanks again.
As a full timer, living in canada… I’d love to hear your thoughts about RVing in Canada vs. US.. price, site conditions, park conditions etc. we don’t have parks like you guys do down there, and we charge more!
Also, Caleb needs his own YT channel.. for when he goes off to school- we can keep up with him!
Welcome to Nova Scotia! Hope you enjoy your time here in our beautiful province.
I'm actually happy that he mentioned that about needing grease. I'm a first time Rv owner and would not have necessarily known do to that, so as awkward as that mention was I say thank you for your bravery! :)
Staying at Glooscap campground and started talking to another camper who mentioned the reason they were staying here was because of a CZcams family called Keep your Daydream. Well we let them know that’s why we are here too! Tomorrow we go out with Anna.😊
I have been watching you guys since your first year camping since your kids were little I have to tell you I enjoy your videos so much. Mark has such an infectious laugh and Caleb knows exactly what to do to crack him up. He cracks me up as well. I’m truly gonna miss when he goes off to college. The videos just won’t be the same. I hope he is considering a career in comedy because he is too funny! Nova Scotia was one of our favorite places to go as was Prince Edward Island. We were there during the 150th anniversary (pre-pandemic) such a gorgeous place. And if you are of a certain age, and grew up with Anna Green Gable’s, you can almost see her coming down the Walk. Have a wonderful time!
Caleb is so funny ! Great episode. So much fun to see you travel to some of the same places that we’ve been.
The greatest part is “and there’s still more to come “.
Thank you so much for sharing.❤️
Marc, You HAVE to start doing outtakes!!! I know you've got some real jewels that you've cut out. They would be great to insert at the end. 30-45 seconds worth would be HILARIOUS!!! I bet Caleb was a GREAT camp counselor!! I know my kids had a great time being camp attendees then counselors when they were in high school!!!! Ya'll continue to have a GREAT and SAFE time in N.S.!!!
Love the love being given to the bikes! My trailer has a garage so my Sworks is always cozy back there on travel days. 😊
Every week I watch your videos in complete awe, and absolute jealousy. The journey and destinations combined with the total buy-in from your family is beyond belief. I know life is what you make it, but what you have created is incredible. I can only dream of what you make your reality. Amazing!!!
Love KYD, but Caleb? He brings it to a whole other level! Love, love him!
Sitting in Disneyland right now at the Jolly Holiday watching you guys :) I loved every minute of our time in Nova Scotia. Meat Cove was a true highlight. Safe travels
Meat Cove was my favorite spot. Road was a little rough (5 yrs ago) but so worth the drive. Food at The Hut was delicious!!
Looks lovely . The shore line is beautiful. Caleb...always a hoot!
Fab music in this episode, Marc! What a lovely, calm production...thanks! 🙂 Oh! And kudos to Trish for such fun trip planning!
I have been waiting to see Nova Scotia!! Thank you!!
Oh my seeing Charlie is awesome and please do give him a big hug from me. Wow Nova Scotia is very interesting and this is amazing. I love going through shops like the one you went into. Can't wait to see what there is next Sunday. Stay safe and Love y'all.
Happy Sunday, everyone! Love yall 3000!
What a great trip,
great video..
Thanks for sharing..
Caleb, your story at the end had me on the floor…😂
Safe Travels y’all.!!
✌️❤🙏🇺🇸
Caleb just makes the videos even better! He’s so funny!
I ADORE that Charlie loves his friends too! Our Jada (3.5 yo lab/pyranese mix) is the first dog we've have (out of 8) that adores her stuffies! Each one has a name and she'll go find the one you ask her to find! We re big fan of Charlie....and you guys too! ;)
Wow, cool dog to know their names!
From your plan looks like you nailed the key attractions in NS! Great video, can't wait to see the rest of the trip, thank you.
You guys dont look for an adventure, you make the adventure! Love following you!
You guys ALWAYS make me laugh. The three of you should do a sitcom cause you are hilarious and I just keep coming back for more. Nothing can be matched, great information and hysterical antics. PLEASE keep up the great content. Love you guys.
Trish and Caleb trying not to laugh when Mark is talking shop.
Great episode, scenery was out of the park and Caleb had me rolling. Can't wait for more.
I think you will find that the larger diameter hose will give you higher pressure than a smaller hose. The pressure reduces as the flow increases. If you can supply the amount of water faster it will result in less pressure loss. A larger diameter hose will give you a greater flow, therefore more pressure. I hope this helps. I really love your videos.
Whatever you do, do NOT take Caleb to therapy, but let him know it's the leafy part of a dandelion that you eat. I will run that through my head for hours and break out in laughter. God blessed him with a natural make people laugh syndrome. And Lord knows that laughter is a necessity for a good life. God bless all of you and keep the fun coming.
Go Blue!
There’s no truer statement than the quicksand statement.
Gorgeous video as usual. Love the picture you took at the camp site on the water. Ever consider making post cards of some of the locations you visit and selling them with the merch?
Oh my word! Where does Caleb come up with this stuff? I am literally crying with laughter at my desk!
"That one time at band camp" 🤣
What a great adventure. We have a friend who lives in Halifax. We are definitely going to plan a trip to see him. Thank you so much. Caleb is still be best behind the scene content. He is too funny
Love it! Great job in showing off our beautiful province! Hope to meet you out on the road sometime!
I love how excited Charlie was to get a new toy ❤
You need to take the free ferry to pei from caribou Nova Scotia to PEI. One of the most spectacular ferry routes ever.
I guess it's out of service. We'll look more into it.
Caleb is hysterical! NS looks amazing, adding it to the list!
I am a Haligonian living in Ontario and this video made me a little homesick. You did a lovely job showing off the landscape
Enjoy the east coast, about to go full time and thats where I'll be spending the summer months, so chill, beautiful and layed back.
Great video!!! Nova Scotia has always been one of my favorite places on earth!!! I hope you have time to go see Peggy’s Cove!!! Breathtaking!! Also, Caleb is a cut up! That camp counselor narrative was hysterical!
We stayed at Glooscap on our Nova Scotia trip 5 years ago-still one of our favorite campgrounds ever!
OMG, that Caleb! Love his humor.
I love Caleb. He'd make a great camp counselor too. Thanks for sharing and as always stay safe and God bless love ya Nancy
So Cool. Love NS. Want to visit this place also. Caleb is a "hoot" such a great sense of humor. Loved your video.
I grew up in the Maritimes in downeast Maine. My wife and i drove to Nova Scotia a few years ago to Halifax. Great video
The Forest Gump impression was great! 21:22
On the road again yay 😊❤
Trish could make a living doing Iteneraries for people RVing. She's outstanding!
Caleb is irreplaceable. Mark is a great teacher and Charlie is such a good boy!. Love your family travels soooo much!
Driving in the rain, no fun. Yay for the bikes being protected. We removed the back seat of our Toyota Tundra and put our folding ebikes back there. It is just the two of us so we can use that space for the ebikes. So nice. Nova Scotia looks beautiful. Nice jazzy music. Caleb is honing his alternate voices talent. Takes after DAD.
LOL! Mark watching Trish get into a new tsatchke store. I feel the pain in my wallet too!! But so worth the smiles. Nova Scotia seems beautiful. Loved the beach walk.
Caleb is so funny! Marc, add a short piece of hose to the end of that hose that will fit into the fresh water tank.
Your son, Caleb, is a UNIQUE GENIUS... must be in the drive behind the name because my son Caleb is a few years older and perhaps wiser, but he also has a VERY entertaining sense of humor, and absolutely ZERO fear. Loved seeing Nova Scotia... it's absolutely gorgeous. The harshness of the seasons and time is spectacular to witness in the landscape. Loved this video. Especially Caleb's Camp Counselor shower scene! HAH!!
Wow you really did alot of exploring! I stayed at The Old Shipyard Beach Campground in NS and loved the serenity! Then stayed by the water at PEI, saw the bottle houses and found the singing sands! Beautiful country❣ What's a dandelion taste like😂😂😂😂
Hello everyone. You are in Nova Scotia and you went through Moncton...loving Nova Scotia, and have a claim bake with fresh class and garlic butter just a one time deal. Oh yum! It is wonderful to see you all here safe and sound. We are w arching....from osoyoos b.c. big hugs from Canada Carolyn and Colin....your neighbors....love your family....so cute.
Man this video is bringing back so much memories. We did the same route but went the opposite direction. Enjoy.
Glad you’re enjoying our country. Headed east again this fall. 🇨🇦
Marc, I saw you turning off the water before leaving the campsite and thought of something we have in our yard - hose valves! We actually use ours on the hoses for watering the lawn, but you could easily use one at the faucet and just turn the valve 1/4 turn and the water is off. Makes it a lot easier than turning a faucet on and off. You would want to shop a bit to get the valve you want, brass or plastic, and the opening in the valve you would like.
If you happen to be in Musquodoboit Harbour on a Sunday there’s a great farmers market, food truck, beer garden and an amazing bakery with gluten free treats. Also, Martinique Beach is one of the best in Nova Scotia. So happy you’re getting to see my beautiful province! ❤
Great episode! We live in NB and we live in Domes! What a awesome experience! Hope you all enjoyed it!
