    I appreciated your comments. I'm in the shopping/research stage at this point. Right now, I'm leaning towards Haltech. Thanks!

    hey man! wanted to ask what did you do with the default ignition table being in the estimated compression pressure? i dont understand that format at all.

      Not sure I follow. I used the OE table in HPT as a guide to setup the ignition tables in Haltech. The axis is different of course but after years of looking at the engines run in HPT I kinda have an idea of where they are at idle/cruise/wot

    “ but Holley terminator self tunes!” 😜
    Just about any modern software is user friendly if you’ve ever tuned with a ROM editor. 🤣

    Sorry if I've missed it in the video, but when you fitted the haltec, did you loose any of the body controls module related things? Does the factory abs still work? Did you loose all the dash outputs? Does all body module stuff still work? Wipers, lights, fuel level ect? Thanks

      I kept the factory ecm and run it in a parallel setting. All factory functions including ABS, cruise, fuel level etc.. function as they did before 👍

      @Chickenfam_LSX right, so you said you an it in parallel setting? I'm going to be running same ecu in my g8, are you saying you did something specific that is different to just installing the new haltec so you retained dash and other things?

    • @MDW893
      @MDW893 Před 2 měsíci

      @Chickenfam_LSX how did you run it parallel exactly so the stock stuff still runs and the haltech?

      @@MDW893 I removed all the factory engine control connectors, nothing from the oe harness is plugged into any of the engine control related sensors. I ended up using a crank splitter and oil pressure signal splitter from Current Performance to feed that data to the factory ecm to keep the gauges alive. Also use a separate coolant temp sensor in the passenger side head to feed the temp data to the cluster.

      How did you keep cruise? Did you let the factory ecm control the throttle body and pedal?
