Back at EPCOT! DuckTales Adventure, San Angel Inn Lunch & More

- It's Day 7 of our Walt Disney World vacation! We went to EPCOT today with a goal of doing different things than our previous day.
With that in mind, we rope dropped Frozen Ever After, rode a few other rides, and then do the Spike the Bee scavenger hunt and the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure game on the Play Disney Parks app.
For lunch, we ate at San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavilion, went back to the Caribbean Beach Resort in the afternoon to enjoy the pool, and then went back into EPCOT for the evening.

I’ve noticed on our trips to Disneyland that if I change out of my tennis shoes to comfy flip flops my feet don’t hurt as bad now. So I always bring a pair with me. I even wear them in the winter.

Amy! The reason the rice tastes different is because they mix in rice vinegar! They sell it at most grocery store and you only need a little bit :)

I was actually thinking you would have especially high expectations for Mexican food at San Angel Inn as San Diego natives haha
It definitely didn’t come anywhere close to local Mexican food.
There’s a place 15 minutes from us that makes the best tacos I’ve ever had.
But we had such low expectations given the bad reviews that it could only be better than our imaginations. 🤣
As we were watching the video and you were talking about the motion sickness patches, my son insisted I message you to tell you about the Reliefband. It is pricey (they often have sales though) but it really works! I had to crank up the level # for Cosmic Rewind, but was able to enjoy it instead of riding with my eyes closed 😂

Love your videos of showcasing realistic family budgets and timeframes going to Disney/Universal. New subscriber. Amy here's the Rice ratio: 1 cup rice to 1.5 cup cold water. Rinse rice under running water until the water runs clear. Drain, place the 1.5 cups rice. Boil the rice, turn off burner and move pan off the burner and cover rice for 10-15 min. Fluff and you're all set. Salt and butter, lime zest and cilantro the seasonings are endless. Enjoy
Also, if you don’t already have one get a rice cooker. Comes out perfect every time.
Traver & Amy, I had an idea for a video. It is a contest between the both of you. You could each have 1 of your sons. Some ideas: who can get through the most rides by the end of the day; who can eat for less money; who can get through a list of rides, food, shows, (either combined in the same list or separate lists fir more videos). You can do this for other Theme Parks as well. Just an idea! Love your content.

We rode Guardians with a full dose of Dramamine. It just felt like one big merry go round ride for me the whole time. My husband was even worse off. One and done for us. 😞Also, we LOVE Spike the Bee scavenger hunt and hope to do the Duck Tales one day.
a Epcot must for kids is Turtle Time With Crush :D its fun for both Adults and Kids bc Crush is awesome :) of course you have to raise your hand to get called on :)

I would venture to guess that the trackless rides do not begin each morning with “technical difficulties “. That would seem to be too much of a qwinky-dink. Rather, they’re probably just not adequately staffed.
It’s a bit of both. Disney not wanting to pay employees to be there earlier enough to make sure there are no issues. But these trackless rides are complicated technologically.
If Rise of the Resistance goes down for any reason. And I mean any. Someone drops a hat on the track, etc, they have to shut it off to fix the issue, no matter how small. And the minimum time to reboot the system is 45 minutes. It’s never down for less than that when it goes down.
So sometimes, they have an issue when doing their morning testing, and that delays the rides opening.
1. I'm with ya, I do like cold apple pie! I also tend to like desserts cold that are intended to be warm 😅
2. Did you have to pay for that scavenger hunt (like you had to pay for the Easter one at DL)? I love the mini corn hole though! Putting a knock off on my Amazon wishlist 😆
3. I also do recommend silicone straws because theyre easy to pack! The Gosili ones on amazon even come with a tin case for each straw!
4. Did the skyliner breakdown while you were riding it?! If so, how was that?!
Yes, the scavenger hunt cost a small fee though I don’t remember what it was. Silicone straws are ideal for avoiding the metal detectors, so definitely would go that route in the future. And yes, the skyliner did stop for about 2-3 minutes about 5 separate times.
Could be getting wheelchair people out at the Riviera which has no wheelchair loading station like the other hubs. But it happened a little more often than usual for that time of night. So no idea. Might have been having issues.
