Enjoy the video guys! The Echo has been sold already :( Just to clarify when I mentioned that parts are hard to come by, I was referring to aftermarket parts.

I love my Yaris 3 door hatch s 5 speed.... fun and affordable and nothing better than passing people in the 100hp econobox. Hope you get to have another.

I have a red 2004, 2 door hatchback 5 speed. Mostly stock. She was in rough shape when I got her. Did 90% of the work myself. Super lightweight, snappy quick around town. Hums down the highway like a champ. Best fuel economy was 700 kilometers on a 45 liter tank so far. Mix of highway and city. I call it , "The flying sardine."

Sorry to see her go! I have my echo parked for a few months, but looking forward to giving her the love when it becomes possible. Just a fun little egg to toss around. So fun, gutted interior, stick shift. Just a hoot to drive hard!

I love my 2003 Toyota Echo! Bought it in 08’ and today it has 334,440 miles on the original engine. It is solid. I plan to modify a little at a time and give it to my 2nd son. First son got the 2007 Toyota Yaris.

I daily a red 2004 4 door 5 speed RS. The best vehicle I have ever driven. My wife has owned it since 2007. It has about 270k miles(430000 km) and still runs perfect. A mechanic has never even seen this car. Original everything besides brakes and rotors. Just replaced the original alternator at 420k. My daily commute is about 100 miles through some elevation changes and twists and turns. The most fun you can have at 45mpg!! I consider buying a true sports car, but the cost even just for the extra gas would be insane. I drive it all year round no problem with snow tires, and it snows ten feet where I live. It spent the first ten years right downtown in the city and now we live out in the woods. My goal is taking it to a million kilometers or giving it to my now 6 year old, whichever comes first lol.

I’ve never seen an echo hatch back. I thought that was a Yaris. It is sad you can’t keep it but some lucky buyer is enjoying it now. Nice video! I am thankful to be an owner of an Echo as well.

I may be wrong, but I think it's just a Yaris he calls Echo

P.S. I was wrong, Echo hatchbacks actually existed for Canadian market.

    Such a fun car.
I’m a carpenter by trade and it’s treated me like an absolute champ. 4 door hatchback that swallows 3/4’s of my toolkit. I drive the absolute living daylights out of mine. Topped out in “Mexico” at 173km/hr. It’s a slow fast car for sure; but is an absolute riot in the winter because of the short wheelbase.
I drove mine cross country loaded with luggage. Managed to drive 9000kms for less than 550$. Highly impressive gas massive.
It’s only got 175k on it right now and I’m considering tearing it apart for a dirt track hornet car because I know how it handles so well… orrrrr build it up slightly and really enjoy it in the street. MCM dropped a bigger engine in with an EBay turbo. Looked like a riot.!
    Love the videos.!

Got a 2012 Toyota Yaris with 206,000miles. Other then oil changes and tires only thing I have had to do to mine is a new belt 13.00 dollars still have original brakes with over 25% pads left Car has had nor has any issues at all best most reliable car I have ever owned and Definetly lasted more miles then any other car I have owned that required the last amount or work. Like I said just basic maintenance and a belt nothing else.
Also for only having 105 HP the car is pretty zippy and actually decently fast especially with only one person in it as the cars pretty light weight u out 4-5 grown ups in it then u notice the lack of horse power. Other then that it’s beeen an awesome car

Man I love your videos on this car sad you had to sell it iv probably watched your echo videos like a 100 times and I still love it because of your videos I went out and got one myself love this car some people think it's dumb but with the price of gas makes it worth buying alone and the insurance is cheap thanks for your videos man

I’m in Ontario…wish I had of known it was for sale. I have an 05 RS and can’t find any of the parts I want for it. No performance headers available anywhere…no Borla centre exit exhaust…such a shame as I love the little car.

  • @melvinshelton8448
    @melvinshelton8448 Před 2 lety

I want one! If you could ($), would you prefer a Yaris with the same mods? I might prefer an Echo, with a paired supercharger + turbo, and the rest of the stuff you have. But yours: an even simpler sleeper. I would not miss the speed; I put hundreds of thousands of miles on Bugs without even a radio in them - and much slower than Echoes. On the other hand, I might well blow the engine... Buy another Echo ASAP!
