Hi, I have a question can I use the cards in the same way, let's say there is a v90 card in slot 1 and a type-a card in slot 2, I program the 1,2,3 wheel so that 24.60 Fps is written on v90 S-I and 120fps on typa-a in slot number 2? I don't have a typa-a card to check it yet...
Hey, thanks for the comment! Yes, when you have a V90 Card in slot one and are recording, then stop and switch over to S&Q or one of the codecs that need the type A card it will give you a warning as if it isn't going to work but will start recording to slot two if there is a Type A card in there. That is strange, a couple of questions I have for you on this then. Are you copying to an external hard drive? Is each file huge? Do you have a fast computer? Those will all affect the transfer times. If you are using an external hard drive make sure it’s fast one for sure. They will list the read write times for them. Yes hahaha that is a very true statement. I have been doing a lot of stuff in 8bit and using the standard codecs. Just because of storage. 80gb and 160gb don't give you that much time and it just takes up so much space on hard drives. Customer stuff is anywhere between 200-500 GB sometimes and that is hard on everything. But for those times you want the best you have it also.

You can just not the XAVC S-I 4K codec. This is the codec that takes the most data but is more uncompressed thus making editing easier on your computer and grading. You can still shoot 4K 120 in XAVC S and XAVC HS but it is a lower data rate and makes editing a nightmare because it’s H.265 and Super Compressed.

the cost of these cards is outrageously overpriced! I cant stomach buying a 160gig card for 400 fucking bucks knowing I'll need 2 of them at least. Fuck sony! highway robbery right here!!
I hear ya man! They are expensive and I am sure you will see these drop in the coming years and some other companies making cheaper options. I was able to get a 512Gb Type B card for $600 which is still insane but your getting like 3 times the space and such. it is cool that they can write so fast for being so small and you can get all the features on all these new cameras. I just want to be able to film by the light of a fire or candle or some natural light when i'm out and about =D Thanks for your videos and response.
I know, that would be so nice if they did even though they are also expensive! The 240fps is pretty awesome I must say, it looks so good really! You won't be disappointed when you do thats for sure this little camera packs so much in it! I watched some of your content and it's really good! the lighting doesn't really matter to me because you are telling a story and story is king! As long as I am able to make out what you are doing then your good in my eyes! we always want the new new when in reality the gear we have works just fine! You use the crap out of that 80d and maybe the answer is just buying faster lenses for the body you have now. I thank you for the comments and your videos also! Cheers!

Yeah, those work great! The only thing you can't do is the high frame rate, best codecs with those cards but everything else works great.

A: Because it cannot accept the better faster Type B cards.
