- For our final project of the 2022 paving season, we paved a day care parking lot. We ripped out the existing parking lot, graded it, then paved two lifts of asphalt.

It’s really a really nice day for paving when it is in the low or mid 60s and sunny out so the heat from the asphalt isn’t almost unbearable when you are on the paver.
Isn’t that the truth!
No one like those plus 40 days when your standing over 300 degree asphalt. Makes you have a mean sweat going that’s for sure.

When you ive estimates, do you offer an option for 1 or 2 lifts, or just collect those details before drafting the estimate?
We do offer it as an option to certain clients. Mostly commercial clients. Here in Ottawa it’s not typical for residential clients to get two lifts of asphalt.

I know there not cheap to rent or buy but I run milling machine where I work have you ever thought about going that way instead of spending the time to rip everything out??
So the answer is definitely yes. Something I have considered. I think it’s in our future. Just not in the cards yet. I would love to add one to our fleet.

We custom painted it though. It’s comes red from factory.
