If anyone has listened to the original song you will note it has a beatbox vibe which I imagine is what the group was going for. I agree with other comments that there are times where the Beatbox is going with the drums and sometimes its in sync and sometimes it feels like it clashes with the sound overall. I think there are a lot of ebbs and flows of the song where the beatbox is a great addition. Overall I enjoyed the song, never be afraid to do stuff like this and keep pushing the creativity!
Theres so many "pop" songs I wish were released as rock songs.

Yeah that's an issue I've noticed with beatboxing in general when colab with bands. I'd say in general it fits better with beatboxing and a singer or those two with an acoustic guitar. Just so the beatboxing isn't completely overridden.
if u have heard a lot of metal u will be able to listen to instruments which are supposed to make the melody instrument sound better like bass

Beatbox really there or not aside, this cover is my favorite so far. Had a chance to go through the entire album during a long drive upstate, had this particular cover on replay probably 20 times+. Audra has this super feminine, tough on the outside but really a crybaby inside kinda vibe to her voice, and this song just hit it off with her vocals. gotta say better than Goulding original, hands down.
I agree, I'm listening to a lot of F211 on repeat at the moment and man I love everything about this one, the instrumentals make me headbang to this ahah. Everything fits so well to my ears eheh
The vocals sound highly autotuned, though. I saw an acoustic Ellie Goulding performance of this song in a small studio for a radio show and there was no autotune and it sounded perfect. Also, the singer in this video doesn't have that awesome raspy voice that Ellie uses during the chorus. Ellie can really belt it out. In fact, I would actually like to see Ellie do this same metal cover like the one in ths video except without the autotune that this singer here uses. I thnk it would sound better. I am not trying to take anything away from this singer in the video here, but she's not as good as Ellie.
I think the beat box was perfect when there is silence when it's the guitar and signifying because it's not intense and not overpowered by the drum also misfire is my aunt good job

@@willwastaken If you think beatboxing is always like "awful" you really have no opinion on this. That's what most of the people think about beatboxing. But if you judge it from technical standpoint, the execution was fine. It's same as if someone wins a race and you say the driving was awful, no, it can't be as it's a matter of fact that it actually is better than most of the other. Maybe it's hard to judge from an unprofessional stand point.
