Glad you enjoyed Isle of Skye just a shame about the weather as its so majestic especially when the weathers good and can really appreciate and take in the scenery. Glad you noticed Eilean Donan Castle Its been used in several films inc James Bond, Loch Ness and Highlander which the bridge was used in several scenes. Glad the weather improved for your trip and you all enjoyed seeing the famous steam train crossing the viaduct. 👍

Good video. This part of scotland is dramatic. We did the train trip many years back. Pretty impressive. And as for the castle. That is one of the famous views on the west coast. As you drive round the corner and first see it, haunting. Take care.

I was at the Glenfinnan Viaduct some years ago, while on holiday in the Highlands of Scotland. I love the Glenfinnan Monument nearby. Harry Potter has put that location firmly on the map, for sure. This is a must visit place for the Harry Potter fans. The scenery is breathtaking there, as it is in much of Scotland. I’m pleased for you all that you are managing to stop off at quite a few places on your tour. I’m looking forward to your next video. Take Care.

I have done trial subscriptions of several satnavs that were supposed to take account of the dimensions of our van. I found them all to be very poor so we have gone back to Google maps. Once you understand that it always wants to cut corners, it is OK. And, it is better than any other I have used for finding the places of interest that you are trying to navigate to. Good luck with yours, though.

Only The Rucks could ‘stumble upon’ Eilean Donan Castle, only one of the most famous castles in Scotland and most filmed. From Sean Connery’s Highlander, Miss Marple, McMillan & Wife to Pierce Brosnan’s outing as James Bond in The world is not enough, Eileen Donan Castle has stared in 24 film & T.V productions over the years. What a treat to see it in the bright Scottish sunshine and some brilliant shots of the deep still waters too, fantastic! Glenfinnan Viaduct seen another box ticked too. There is so so much to see up there, you could easily go round again and take in some of the sights for which time did not allow…. As the locals say ‘Haste ye back!’

You forgot to mention that the castle you can see today was only built in 1932, although structures / castles at this site, go back to the 12th / 13th century, so a fairly modern building really.

sygic is great. I have it on my big 12 inch screen andoid head unit on viv-i-van. I've also got it on my phone and if I run it on my phone too, the phone becomes a very high res dash cam using the app. the specs part ( height, width length) of the app is brilliant for avoiding those horrible narrow roads. Loved those bridges near you pub stopover. I'd probably spend hours with the D850 dslr doing landscape photography there. gorgeous video this week. I really enjoyed it very much. Bessy regs- Kenny

Was the Mallaig ferry not running? Beautiful scenic route and a much more romantic way of leaving (and arriving on) the island I think; also knocks around fifty miles off the distance to Glenfinnan against using the bridge. Just a thought, enjoyable video as always though.

Never use a wind out canopy without pegging the legs down. Even the slightest sudden wind can send the canopy backwards over your rig, destroy the canopy and scratch and dent your vehicle.
