- Arrma cars & trucks to the r/c community is what Autel is to the drone community. These vehicles are not cheap, but as we've always said as drone pilots, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!" As drone pilots, (and rightfully so) we all recognize DJI as the industry leader. Traxxas likewise, is the benchmark in the r/c community, like DJI, but a bit more pricey. After spending several hundreds of dollars on cheap r/c's, I'm going with Arrma (for the time being) since I'm still kinda new in this game and I'm looking for something that will last. As I have found in the past year, their products are tough, durable, easy to maintain and reasonably priced as compared to Traxxas r/c products. By the way guys. All 4 of the cars shown at the beginning of the video (this video was shot previously) have had their receivers changed out to the DUMBO R/C recievers. I can now run all four of them with one remote controller, which is a big plus for me. The swap out was easy peezy!!! -djsoulforce!!!

I've been trying to get with him (in person) for over a year now. We talk occasionally on the phone but, of course, we're several hundred miles apart, lol!!! The next time I'm in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, I'll invite him to come over from Houston, lol!!! Thanks for watching buddy!!!
Oh and will be picking up same color just the v5 in a couple of days. Not a basher myself considering the aluminum chassis are over $100 if you cant straighten them out. Found that out the hard way on the notorious 6s. Good thing I was able to straighten back out. I do traxx for 3s line up and arrma for 6s line up. And of course the XMAXX for the 1/5th. About to get rid of 1-2 slash trucks and maybe my rustler 4x4 (which was my 1st back to the hobby) started as an xl-5 and upgraded to a velineon vxl-3, now kinda attached to it even have a new clear body to paint that's been sitting waiting on me to make up my mind on color and patter or leave it clear to show its insides and see the low voltage light when it comes on. Lol Not sure about the one with On Board Audio since they discontinued and cleared the last batch in beginning of 2020. Got one of the last ones bought. May sell the typhon 3s blx because the motor mount that is supposed to " keep debris out", has a hard time keeping debris out, have to clean out after each run because you never know if gravel will get in like it did mine. And the plastic chassis so far has cracked from a launch out of a ditch with no more than 2-3' in the air straight as an arrow and land flat on grass. Guess the ditch dip was too much for the chassis as it cracked by the motor wire clip, bent the slipper clutch pad that goes into the driveshaft so that it would wiggle up and down but not coming out of shaft bearing clip which caused the rear diff to flatten one side of the drive gear, so changed to steel and waiting on new chassis. Problem is the chassis is the same as granite, bigrock, vorteks and pretty much all arrma 3s lineup. Will run fine but hate having a crack anywhere on the chassis and It's the first one it EVER happened to out of 7 I have. 5 traxxas. 4 are 1/10s and a 1/5th. Rustler 4x4 vxl, 2 Slash, Hoss and XMAXX. The 4 Arrmas are Typhon 3s Blx (Typhon 4x4 mega for my grandson fo he has it to open when he comes down to visit he said he liked mine but wanted green PERFECT he's 7), Notorious 6s V4 (love it) and in a few days picking up my Kraton 6s v5 same color as yours. Better than the blue in my own opinion. AND BECAUSE ALL THE 3S CHASSIS ARE THE SAME IN THAT LINEUP, THE LHS SAYS NOT SURE WHEN THEYMAY COME IN BECAUSE ALL THE DIFFERENT ONES PLUS THE TYPHON ARE ORDERING THEM! Even online backordered. Bad thing about buying as soon as they come out especially with upgraded electronics, to many failures in quality control trying to get them in the hobby shops, then having to warranty out parts for all new one having problems, so the new electronics wont be in stores for several months due to this situation. I think that the part packaged individually get a chance of better quality control checks since it's one part. They can't take every car and test it before they sale it, but can check individual parts before packaged. Sorry for the novel but just got going. Just subscribed and looking forward to the next ones. Maybe with a GPS ahem. Lol

When doing speed runs on pavement, I should be using a second camera for ground level shots, which I had with me, but was too lazy to set all of that stuff up, lol. As you may already know, the Arrma's are like the DJI of r/c vehicles, they're all 'sweet as hell' and I truly love this one. Like my early drone addiction, I'd like to say "I have enough cars now" and stop collecting, but I won't raise my right hand to that right now, lol! đ€Ł Thanks for watching bro!!! POW!!!

Great run! I was looking at one of these whle at Extreme R/C yesterday. With all of the trucks they have on display, this one just commands your attention. It's the biggest, meanest truck in there. Right now, I'm paying more attention to what 'our' FAA has in store for drones & quadcopters with the regulations. I'm not looking at anything new at the moment since I have an arsenal of old school drones that will be able to fly without any new Remote ID or future restrictions. Now that I have the Kraton, I'm on the fence with getting the Kaiju. I want it sooo bad but can't afford it after just buying the Kraton. If I had to start over, I'd probably still get the Kraton first again! By the time everyone's done posting Kaiju "breakage and upgrade" videos, I will have saved enough to get one. The Kraton is a proven animal!!!

i run mine on 6s, ANIMAL! have also got hobbywing heatsync and fan but not switched to optional pinion yet because i cant go out dammit! love from England uk
I've had it just a little over 10 days now. I have not yet changed to the high speed pinion gear, it's a beast as is. Today, I did play around with ESC settings, found the factory punch was set to 4, changed it to 8 and turned down the brakes. Whenever I hit brakes, mine was front flipping or slamming into reverse. This happened after I installed the Dumbo RC radio system. It's now fined tuned to my personal taste and I'm loving it even more. Video coming later tonight. Thanks bro, stay tuned!!!
@@DJSOULFORCE interesting! I have the jlb cheetah and i switched out the receiver and transmitter (Dumborc) from that which made a huge difference in the response. Need to play around with the punch settings but will have to wait until whenever! New upgrades in the post too!
Does the cable reach the receiver for the hobbywing i was looking to buy it for my kraton just heard it does not fit.

Yeah arrma is tough, but my first day of running my 4s I broke my front & rear A arms.. found out they are the weak points, but I replaced them with the rpmâs A arms

upgrade your transmitter to the spektrum dx5 pro. it will bind to all the spektrum receivers and has a 250 model memory. you will see and feel the difference!

MuscleAKAOzzy Smc batteries. Just get a 4s or 6s instead of 2 2s or 2 3s. Awanfi 6s with the ec5 connecters is only 67$ on eBay or Amazon. Itâs a good battery, Iâve got 2 with about 20 runs on each and so far so good. Smc is more expensive but they are great batteries as well as Hobbystar, PowerHobby. Do a little research and pick a couple and go have some fun

How much average runtime do you get on your rc-trucks/cars out of the box before you do any upgrade?đȘđ
That's going to depend on the vehicle and the reason why I bought it. I've posted a couple of videos where the car was brushed motor and I advised viewers that I was going to upgrade it. In those cases, I may only run it stock once, LoL!!! In the case of this Arrma Kraton, (for the price I paid for it) I won't upgrade anything until it breaks, with the exception of simple electronics, like the radio receiver. Right after this first run video, I changed out the stock Spectrum radio and installed the DumboRC system. POW!!!

Just get a 15 tooth Tekno or Robinson Racing pinion, put it on and donât worry about whether you need a smaller one on 6s. Plenty of people running these on 16-20 tooth and having no issues. Yeah Racing heatsink fan will keep temps down. Get a better controller and go have a blast

S.f you wanna get a flysky gt3 controller they are a good one and you can run 10 trucks on its memory so only need 1 controller with you
Thanks John, I'll check that out. I do have the DumboR/C TX and a few extra receivers already on hand. Nothing fancy but they work fine, except they don't have model memory. I'm dealing with it though... I've installed Dumbo receivers in 4 different vehicles so far and I've found the settings for one, works for all, even steering trim, but I'm sure my individual settings for each vehicle could be improved!!!
