      Do you guys dose no3po4-x on any of the systems at the farm or in the shop?

      Hey we appreciate that! We actually don't do that. If you have high phosphate or nitrate, we recommend water changes and/or running Rowa or GFO through a reactor.

    It looks really great. I would like to know more about how Frank runs the tank. What equipment he uses, how he controls algae, amount and frequency of water changes, etc...

      It's super simple. For algae control, he cleans the glass. Blue leg hermit crabs and snails take care of the rest. He does a weekly water change of 50%, and there is some filter floss in the back.

    Looks great. Would have loved more info on maintenance schedule and the equipment/filtration used. Is there a place that goes through this in more details from the competition, or the first 6 months-year?

      Hey Adam. To answer your question, we keep it super simply. A 50% water change every week. In the back there is just filter floss and some reef rubble. That's it!

      @@WorldWideCorals Cool man, thanks for getting back to me. I have about 8 snails and 4 hermits in my 13.5, does alright for the surfaces but the nooks and crannies and sand are the hard places to keep the GHA off.

      It's called pipe organ coral.

      Alex is right, it's a pipe organ coral. It's similar to green star polyps, but it doesn't take over the tank as quickly.

      @@WorldWideCorals thanks! 50%, that’s pretty big! I have the exact same filtration on my 16 gallon BioCube and I only do 10%. Just tested Phos and Nitrate after no tests for 3mo. They’re crazy high! 50ppm nitrate and 2ppm phosphate. Any advice? I wonder if I should suck up all of the sediment in my rock rubble filtration section? Anything else I should do? What Nitrate and Phosphate levels does Frank shoot for on this tank?

      It depends on how you are feeding and what livestock you have etc, but it sounds like you would benefit from the larger water changes until you can get those numbers lower. We aim for 10-15ppm nitrate and .05-.08ppm phosphate. Be careful when lowering your numbers as gradual is better than instantly.

      Unfortunately the answer is No. It still isn't 100% pure and can contain harmful chemicals and pollutants. Also, it's stripped of minerals such as calcium and magnesium.

      We think it's a great for this tank and keeping a variety of corals. Frank uses pulse mode with custom settings.

    If you have the patience to do 5 gallon water changes on a 10 gallon tank 1-2 x week, than you can keep almost anything. I call it a PIA
