The star American violinist Gil Shaham performed at the Dvořák Prague Festival on 10 September 2023. During his visit, he gave an exclusive video interview, presented by renowned Czech conductor Jan Bubák. They talked about competition among top violinists, Shaham's legendary modesty, violin technique and why he is his own harshest critic.

I have heard Gil Shaham play numerous times since the late 1990's in variety of settings from solo Bach through full orchestra and the two constants are the incredible beauty of his playing and his immediate rapport with his audience.
