- Wooowwww fair play Liverpool, fair play Gemma Bonner! I didn't see this coming, that said I knew Liverpool wouldn't be easy for Chelsea.
Emma Hayes spoke graciously post match and declared the title is going to Man City. Mathematically, nothing is done. Reading the hate and disrespectful comments towards Emma Hayes this morning are grating on me. She should be applauded for her attitude to improving the women's game in this country! - Sport
I think people only started attacking Emma Hayes because of her arrogance and always complaining about being robbed every time she loses
all the best managers are arrogant
That's not true, i've seen her handle defeat with class many times. Against Barca, anyone would feel robbed with that second yellow. So many agree it wasn't a yellow. Even barca players after the game told Emma the ref was helpful to them.
@@Tchafsir Barca beat Chelsea in the UWCL final 4:0 and eliminated them again last season but Emma Hayes still said Chelsea is better than Barcelona... Also none of you would be crying if that second yellow was the first yellow ... It's definitely a yellow card ...but a second in this case
@@sanfordmichelojr7350 Don't know why you're deflecting by going all the way back to 2021, where Emma made no excuses, we're talking about last saturday, where even the BARCA players said the ref was helpful to them. And from what i've seen, it looks like a lot of people don't agree it was a yellow. Kadeisha wins the ball and barely makes contact. If you think that's a yellow, that's your opinion, you have that right, just as Emma has the right to say it isn't.
@@Tchafsir the fact is Barcelona is better than Chelsea... That's why they had 68+% ball possession...and most people say it's a 50/50 bookable offense...ref could have given it or not ... And it's okay that she gave it
Hayes has done an awful lot for the women’s game but she isn’t making things easy for herself in her departure. I think she’s already checked out and mentally in the US. She seems more like a “caretaker” rn.
That is true.
Thanks Shebahn, totally agree. Emma has had such a huge impact on women's football and deserves respect. Like all of us she is human. Not always perfect but what a show!
She has brought a lot of this on herself. And her interview last night was disgraceful. I can’t believe she has conceded the league.
This is why you should never announce you're leaving the club when the season is just starting. Same happened with Klopp and Liverpool, it went from quadraple conversations to trophyless 😢
The Americans were never going to keep it a secret so she had to announce it.
most of that is just media noise though. the players know it's not easy to win things, whether or not the manager is leaving. it hasn't affected Barça or Lyon, or Bayern Munich men who are in the semis of the CL now.
Hey Shebahn I love your analyses and your perspectives, always watching your videos keep it up.. but just I response to your comment about the Emma hate - I think the heat she's been getting is also part of the game to be honest. We see it day in and day out in the men's game so I don't understand why it's an issue when it happens in our game. Same when something happens between players on the pitch I find that women's football fans make such a big deal out of it i.e. LJ and Millie in the FA cup game. The truth is all of this is passion, but not owning up to a loss/blaming refs/shoving the opposition manager and weaponising womanhood is blatant disrespect and is just unprofessional. And that is why she's been getting a lot of heat on social media.
I also understand how the sport is growing and subsequently the WSL is more competitive, but that ain't a reason to justify Chelsea's bottling this season. It seems to me that other teams are growing and Chelsea are just there and just waving their flag of 'we're Chelsea'. I'm sure there's more to it i.e. injuries, Emma announcing her departure mid-season, but criticism, harsh or constructive, is part of competitive sports. Of course excluding hate speech.
Some of the social media hate towards Emma Hayes is unacceptable!! Will Arsenal do Chelsea a favour and lose to City this weekend?
Hello Shebahn!
Agreed- the medias response is disgraceful & disrespectful.
Unfortunately this type of UK media reporting is becoming the norm which is absolutely wrong !
Great video update - keep reporting as you are which is brilliant to watch!
😊
I don't wany Arsenal to lose to city and we don't have to for City to win the league. City has 8 more goals than Chelsea at the moment so losing to Arsenal shouldn't get them in trouble. Even though I would prefer it if City win the league I hate it that I see a lot of comments from Arsenal 'fans' who say they want Arsenal to lose to City so that City can win the league.
you mean beat City and do Chelsea a favour. they are capable but no, I think City have so much to play for and Arsenal don't, I think City will get it over the line, despite no Bunny
How will Arsenal losing to City be doing Chelsea a favour???
Great chat Shebahn, you’re always spot on . 🙌😁
I thought you were gonna blame the ref again 😂😂😂😂😂😂 what happened to you shebahn
Poor Aggie and Hannah Hampton to brilliant players but good news for us and love seeing Millie playing
I always thought the quadruple talk hurt chelsea. It was too much pressure, and with the injuries and game congestion it proved to be. The announcing of managers leaving has to stop. It has hurt chelsea and Liverpool(men). It allows people to question the effort of managers and players and causes extreme amounts of pressure to win. The hate towards emma is solely due to her success. The trolls had nothing to say when she was winning. However, emma antics have emboldened trolls to say disrespectful things. All this has proven is that womens football is just as toxic as mens. Every time i see an emma is fat joke it confirms it. We cant pretend women football isn't toxic anymore.
she is a great coach but the things she said after losing to Barca are disgusting
Yes👍
Respect Seabhan. Emma is a legend. Chelsea are tired. Sam injury changed things. Can't wait to see who comes in next as Chelsea manager.Big boots to fill.
My least favorite thing about football is how fickle the fans are. One moment, its all "In Emma We Trust", she's a legend, a powerhouse, then a debatable push against Jonas, one poem and the fans now are trashing her legacy. Social media's harsh black and white, non nuanced reactions change with the wind. It's gross to witness. Wether it';s against Emma or any other coach or player. If yr winning, they love you, you lose one, they're trashing you saying "_____out!"
Debatable?
Ugh the black and white thinking drives me mad, very few things are that simple.
debatable my RRR`S
Well said Shebahn.
just going by your headline ... didnt emma hayes disrespect jonas after the conti cup ( he did nothing wrong , it was cuthbert walking towards him. im sure you know the ins and outs ) just to say chelsea were robbed in semi final in european cup
she causes her own problems
Two wrongs don’t make a right! What happened with Jonas was so unacceptable. (I say it again in this vid) but She’s done faaaarrrr more for Chelsea and for women’s football in this country to be disrespected the way she has been!
Watch the video, dave. Commenting after just reading a headline is a buffoonish exercise.
@@shebahn a fantastic manager , sometimes she makes gaffes in her comunications to the media too ...agreed two wrongs dont make a right.
i havent (im too old 😅) given her any social media grief , but she rarely comes across as a nice person .
i watched all that chelsea documentary too.

Of course you do.
To earn respect you have to give respect.
I think it was Ceri Holland who played the pass for Kiernan to score in fact. And also gave her a cheeky kiss on the lips afterwards (little wink to EH's 'inappropriate' comment? yes I know she retracted it).
Maybe Emma saying she's leaving hasn't been good for Chelsea or Klopp saying he's off has been a problem for Liverpool men, but Giraldez announced he was leaving and Barça are still in contention on all fronts, and if it's true that Bompastor is leaving, the players will know and have made it to the WCL final. So let's say it's maybe a problem at times, although the injuries to key players are probably a bigger factor for Chelsea. We know Sam Kerr would have scored the winner last night, it's what she does.
Apologies all but where did Emma start from and who diid she work under which many people forget , she started at Arsenal under Vic Akers and he took this to another level like Emma had let's not forget that.
He’s a man in the women’s league though so he won’t get the recognition he deserves.
Can we talk about how good of a footballer Höbinger is.. she will go to the very top
yes, very underrated, those corners were spot on, a big part of why Chelsea couldn't deal with them
I agree that a lot of the way Emma Hayes is being talked about online completely erases her incredible contribution to the women’s game throughout her career and I do think she’ll go on to do great things with the USWNT. I also think there should be room to criticize some of her recent actions, post game interviews, and opinions voiced to the press that are objectionable because people want and expect better from such a capable manager.
It’s unfortunate because It really feels like it’s the timing of these often valid criticisms lining up with her departure that is changing her legacy. Obviously a team doesn’t get to the semi finals of the champions league without a great manager so in this moment for an otherwise excellent campaign (and honestly career) to be eclipsed by the way that she talked about the ref and the other team following the last match because that’s whats fresh in people’s minds and controversy sticks far more than the solid work behind it really does suck.
Of course it also has to be said that even if someone does something out of order the way that it so quickly devolves to straight up hatred and abuse online is vile.
Even as someone who’s not a Chelsea supporter I can admit she’s made huge strides in the women’s game and I wish her all the best with the USWNT.
great podcast you some things up perfectly
4 seasons win in row is great though btw...as head coach
Claro que sí guapi.
The others have to contain themselves, but your super coach should not do it after losing fairly in WCL, and letting out a lot of cheap excuses without sense or justice.
Well said Shebahn. I’m not a fan of Emma Hayes, but I do respect what she has done at Chelsea and for the women’s game as a whole. No doubt she will continue to do the same in the US.
Emma doesn't endear herself to people but that's not her job. There's no question about her accomplishments as a player and certainly as a manager. I wish she was the Arsenal manager. The US National's decline will be reversed by Emma and her backroom Team good luck to her. At least she will be at the Olympics. Shebahn I agree with your brief summary on the WSL. The other clubs are closing the gap on the so called big 3. Arsenal are floundering. Lots of the cliques need to be moved on. Talk is cheap action is required. Frustrated Gunner.
Kirby , reiten , kaneryd, not scored enough goals , really missed Kerr , and to be honest havent replaced Harder .Emma Hayes is a legend and will get a proper send off at Kingsmeadow thats for sure.
Hello Shebahn. Well said. I started commenting on women's football because I was sick of reading comments from people who could not see the improvement going on, that you spoke of and who just put it down.
For the Chelsea game, apart from a defensive disaster, Aggie Beever-Jones lived up to the praise I gave her in comments earlier today, elsewhere. Well done Liverpool.
Oh dear 🤣 Lighten up man! She wants to play the villain then she has to take the boos.
Best comment so far.
I am very worried about Emma coming to the USWNT.
Well said at the end of the
Thank you see!

Well said!!!!
My prediction. - Arsenal will surge this weekend and it will all be back on. and down to goal difference!
I think that the injuries and fatigue have caught up with Chelsea. Both arsenal and villa are capable of beating man city so maybe it’s not over yet what a great season it has been.
The injuries do have a cascade effect. Every team has injuries and other issues, but when Chelsea loses one of the best strikers (Kerr) AND her blossoming understudy (Fishel) and then is without Rodriguez and/or James, those are awfully big holes to fill. It's not just the missing talent, it's also the emotional and physical toll it takes on the rest of the team. Chelsea just looked like they were sleep walking in their last couple of matches.
@@ZingaroXIV hello very true. I think this weekend’s match between Man City and arsenal will be the decider. If arsenal win then Chelsea still has a chance at winning the league. There have been some crazy results this season.
It is certainly looking that way.
Over the last 6 games, CFCW have just imploded.
I know we should never say never in this game and it really all hinges on Man City losing to Arsenal and Chelsea bagging at least 6 against Bristol City, to see what might happen next, but it is not looking good for CFCW
Conti cup was won in March by Arsenal....
Thanks
Excellent vlog, Shebahn 👏👏👏👏. I’m no Chelsea fan and i’m praying Man City can pull this off, but Emma Hayes is a TRUE LEGEND who has brought the WSL up by its bootstraps (re Standard setting) almost single handedly. She deserves to be applauded and feted and to be remembered for the Legend she is 👏👏👏👏 🏆
Some idiots have very short memories. Emma deserves so much better than what these trolls are dishing out. Shame on them!!!!!
I was always taught that to get respect you have to give respect. I'm not sure that Hayes has earned the respect of the football world outside of Chelsea FC simply because of the way she talks to journalists, or the way she comes off as arrogant during interviews, or the way she always has an excuse when things don't go her way. Honestly, after the match against Liverpool is the first time I've ever felt empathy towards her, and only because she allowed her human side to be noticed. The way she interacted with her player during the interview leads one to believe that she cares. However, by declaring the season as being lost, I couldn't help but think she is not the winner everyone thinks she is. I lost the little respect I was beginning to have towards her.
Hey Shebahn, well done for standing up and calling out this BS. Good lord, Emma is a genius, but the keyboard warriors are disrespecting her. I am a Manchester United fan, but let me tell you, I really do like Emma, and her style and commitment are fantastic. I would have loved her as our manager. I wish her the best in the USA and I bet she will kick ass there as she has in the UK
Well said ❤👏👏👏👏👏
When you concede three goals from corners like that, you really don’t deserve to win anything, and if Arsenal don’t beat Man City on Sunday that’s precisely what we’ll end up with. But it is what it is though, the injuries & schedule finally caught up with us. You can’t really be disappointed with not winning the league for the fifth consecutive season. What Emma has curated over the past 12 years is truly remarkable and I’m sure that now her detractors (who are motivated mainly by their jealousy of her incredible success, as their teams all got left behind in the dust,) will just finally be glad she’s gone.
Well said 👏 👏
Mind games from her
oh thats passion 🤷
The more popular the women's football gets the more they need to deal with the backlash. Goes hand in hand. Before they could say and do what they wanted within reason because nobody really cared about them.... now people are starting too they have to toughen up too.
I don't really know what's being said as it don't really effect me...
Chelsea had already lost to City in the league before the Conti Cup final and already knew that if we got past Ajax in the quarterfinal we face Barcelona, I said then that yes we were still in contention for four trophies but in order for that to happen we have to literally win every single game. City at that point had been winning more convincingly than Chelsea, and we had to face them in the FA Cup. It was going to be tough with a full squad far more for a squad with injuries to key players. Emma is being realistic. Even without Bunny, I don't see City dropping one let alone four points. Also, I am so glad that someone spoke out about the hate on social media. And it's not only at Emma, "fans" are quick to berate and call for managers' heads when the team loses, and throw hate on players. I have said my two cents about it in response to comments, but I don't have the platform you do to speak out and be heard, so I am glad that you did today.
one swallow doesnt make a summer
Like I said at the beginning of the season when everyone was predicting the quadruple,
hell of a thing if the "best coach since sliced bread" ends up arriving at the "ultimate job in all women's sport" trophy less.
Every club starts the season with the possibility of winning ever competition in which they participate
so Emma and Chelski got the comeuppance they deserve.
Luis Cortes had to go unrecognized despite winning everything and humiliating Dame Emma in the WCL Final but,
alas,
gravity will not be denied despite the best efforts of Sky Sports, the BBC and even the British Government.
(PS: I wouldn't bet my house on Emma pulling up trees with the USWNT.
But I'm sure there'll be many "reasons" why it didn't happen.)
Agree with you on Emma, one season shouldn't define her legacy and impact she made at Chelsea and really the women's game in England as a whole
Well done for pick up on this bullying of emma hayes, and to be honest, laura james, it is nasty

A certain teams fans discourse around Emma is honestly boring. Like please focus on your own team at least her team was in the running for 4 trophies. She had a tough year personally and maybe she has been a little careless with her words in press conferences but she’s been championing women’s football and pushing standards for so long. The WSL is better for having had her.

Is that what happened?
Shebahn. Well spoken. But my team is Arsenal every day 👍🇸🇪
Well said, Shebahn. Emma Hayes is an inspiring coach and human being.
Who is she inspiring? You! Are you dumb, deaf and blind?
The plenty of haters means that she was great and they suffered from it ⚽️🐐
She will Remain in History with her Glory and titles to remember
She was the high point that the competing teams competed with raising the overall level of the game
Unfortunately it was a tough year for her but she will only cover it as a new challenging point in her career and I am sure that it will bring glory to the us
Hayes doesn't deserve the hate. She's an amazing manager and done so much for the WSL.
While I haven't said anything on social media about EH, I absolutely would say it to her face lmao. She deserves to be called out for her actions and words and to be held accountable. She refuses to take accountability for herself and her actions/words so she absolutely deserves to be called out by others. She has brought this completely on herself and by being arrogrant and unprofessional (e.g., sore loser, giving up on the team for the league title now, etc), it is well deserved. If only she could have done things to prevent this.. Oh wait, apologizing exists, taking personal responsibility exists, acting professional exists, managing the game and team exists (in relation to player/player rels. and team dynamics), etc. I really hope she has some self-reflection and gets better because the US will not be easier. It's a different sports culture here and fans will call out managers without hesitation. Her behavior has been absolutely unacceptable and will not fly here so she better be prepared.
And also- 16 trophies in 12 years lmao. So she's barely averaged ~1 a year, when there are 4 available each year? That doesn't seem very good for a club as popular and "dominant" as chelsea has been made out to be lmao.
4 consecutive league wins as the WSL started to hit its peak in standard?
LMAO
EMMAS CRACKIN UPPPPPP
Similar to Klopp leaving Liverpool
I don't believe she is saying to the Chelsea players that league is done
Played the most games too. Everyone is jealous of emma
you answered your own questions as to why people are hating on Emma...its because shes one of the best manger the wsl has ever had and probably will ever have
I still have an immense amount of respect for Emma Hayes, what she's done for Chelsea (of which I'm not even a supporter), and what she's done for women's football. She's created an immense legacy we should all be proud of. But all that said, I completely agree with what others have said here regarding her being a poor sport, what with all her whinging of late. It's not a good look. But when I think of Hayes, the word 'gracious' has never come to mind. And perhaps that makes her a perfect choice for the helm of the USWNT. ;-)
I do agree that perhaps a manager announcing they're leaving their club well before the Christmas break is a poor choice. Both Hayes and Klopp did sort of make clear why they were announcing their departures when they did, but even so, was it a good idea? Of course, we have the luxury of hindsight now, but the end of their respective campaigns might indicate the pudding didn't quite pass the taste test. Love your video reports, cheers!
she`ll fit in well with the yanks🤣 then
❤
I'm so pleased. Chelsea are so arrogant and I was tired of them winning all the time. I don't watch the mens anymore coz of Man City.
Man United fan here Emma Hayes is literally been the best Manager ever in the WSL the hate Emma Hayes is getting is really unnecessary if you ask me

I think it's mind games her saying it's over trying to get Into Man City's heads hoping they think oh great we can start the celebrations cause Emma Hayes says it's all over ,hoping they relax and then slip up and I wouldn't put it past Arsenal to go to City and beat them,
Best manager in WSL history absolute Horlicks, Bankrolled by Abramovich anybody would have her CV probably champions league as well, Now other teams are investing investing Hayes is bailing out, Quadruple ha ha 👍⚽
I respect shebahn for this
It's appalling the way people are attacking EH..yes she made some kind of comments and all that but she has done a massive lot for the women's game and should be treated in high regard...and don't forget she's human too! Just because it didn't go her way this season doesn't take away from her, after all Chelsea competed in four competitions and they were close to winning it all!
Without Emma Hayes women's football wouldn't be where it is today. She has been pivotal to the success of the women's game.
Does Barcelona FC ring a bell?
She's always complain chelsea was robbed she's always lose to barcelona,,, hahahahaha and i think arsenal robbed chelsea also hahahahaha
congrats to city. if not my gunners then id rather it go to city. we go again next season
Emma Hayes is one of the most successful managers in women's football. People who hate her are just jealous because Emma has a lot of trophies, wins and titles. I know some of them are mad about her blamings but still do not attack her she deserves better and better
Thankyou, l'm a Chelsea fan and it's really hard watching them crumble after showing so much promise this season. They have brilliant players and have played brilliantly. I know Chelsea can't stay Champions of England forever. The competition is healthy. At Kingsmeadow there's the 'in Emma we trust' poster up. This feels really sad and it was hard seeing those lovely women in tears after last night's game but maybe we'll have a miracle.
A lot of the criticism Emma Hayes gets feels like misogyny to me. I'm a City fan, but always respected her. That said, it's odd to me that she declared the title was lost. City have 2 hard games to go, so nothing is in the bag - especially with Shaw out. But they probably have been the best team over the season so far. Hoping they can finish the job now.
Agreed. Women get way more harshly criticized in gross ways. Ppl, esp men but sometimes women too knowingly and unknowingly love to see a successful woman fail.
Mind games from her now city Finnish the job win the League
Wholeheartedly agree. City need to keep their head in the game, it’s not over til it’s over 🩵
Whether it is or isn't it is always used by someone or other as being the reason for the criticism. Impossible to prove or disprove. So as a result the accusation tends to stick and is therefore a bullet-proof argument. Similar to when people make accusations of 'unconscious bias'
I also think one can only see the real person behind the manager once their team starts to lose. As far as I am aware (I have not followed WSL much in the past) Emma Hayes has only recently started to lose matches on a regular basis.
Don't tell me its female aggression
True. She is a legend. ❤🎉
Very well articulated Shebahn! I have to agree with you.👍 I too... don't think she's handled the most recent losses very well.. and the shove .. well there is no excuse for that.. and it should have been dealt with... and promptly! However.. that being said... you are right.. it's her passion for the game .... that helped her achieve so much greatness in women's football! We can't just forget and disregard all the graft she has put in to make the game better for women in England.. and all over the world if truth be told. There has been a ripple effect for all the good Emma has done!!! Thank you for standing up and saying the right things when it was needed Shebahn! ☺ Cheers from Canada 🍁🍁🍁
🤣🤣🤣
Three corner goals in 45 min. Bye Emma.
Shebahn, I sure hope you plan on being as funny and entertaining as your sister on here.
We forget how many games chelsea played and you saw that the players were tired. It's a shame, but what a team's Emma Hayes has put together over 12 years. Deep Respect to Emma Hayes
I really admire Emma , especially how she stands by Lauren James' side. Once cane say anything about Lauren but she comes from a difficult situation that we cannot imagine.
Hate is the worst thing in the world you can also have a bad effect .
Please stop the hate and love each other 🫶🙌
Thank you Shebahn for addressing this topic 🫶
Glad she lost Hayes has a disgusting attitude.
When a team/player/manager succeeds people want to see their downfall. I don't care if you like her or not, Emma Hayes deserves more respect.
Always complaining and robbed robbed robbed robbed. How to respectful to her ??? even, she doesn't respect other people. Why blame other, why not blame yourself and correct your mistakes. You are ruining your own career.
The legend is humbled. She's basically digging her own grave, or their own grave. If arrogantly declaring their quad race and shitalking during post-press is considered being passionate, I believe the rival fans can be passionate in watching their rival team's downfall as well. If you want everyone to be nice and kind to each other, no rivalry, no passionate fan, no criticism then probably we have to go back to pre-wsl days when theres no one(or barely anyone) watching women's football. If Hayes wants to be respected till the end, she have to earn it. No one will respect her if she's behaving like a sore loser and even making comments that made herself look bad(technically not improving women's football in anyway). I'm happy she can't blame 'getting robbed' this time round and knows she'll go as she came, with nothing at all.
p.s.: Liverpool 3rd goal assist is from Holland.
Hayes has had the biggest budget in world football for the best part of the last decade, now sheban wants her exempt from criticism because she’s a woman!?? That’s not how professional sports works! You either want equality or admit you want all the positives without any of the negatives! Shame on you
Emma’s farewell tour going as well as Klippity Klopps, Hayes is a vile ungracious creature, never her fault always looks for someone else to blame, good riddance.
