This production is absolutely incredible.
Now I understand why this looked so amazing.
Alfonso Cuaron one if the greatest filmmakers of all time. Both for México and the World. Oh siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Criminally underrated movie.
Well we’re currently LARPing it so I guess it wasn’t underrated after all.
criminally cliche youtube comment.
Completely agree
I just had to know how this scene was shot. had me puzzled till i watched this video. Pure masterpiece from Alfonso Cuaron
Just saw a doco in it. Took a MONTH to setup and coridnate
Brilliant film....mind blowing
Pure

Man this is crazy, I raise the hat for you guys.. what a piece of art this movie is
this movies long takes are just AMAZING...The director is a genius...
That is amazing. What a rig! I've seen a handful of other films that Lubezki was cinematographer on, and they were all shot beautifully.
Yeah, but he's at his best while working with Cuaron.
Yeah, but he's at his best while working with Innaritu.
Yeah, but he's at his best while working with Obama.
Yeah, but he's at his best while working with camera.
Just saw a doco on it. It too a month to set up and co-ordinate that one scene
Incredible stuff, from an incredible (yet criminally underrated) film/movie/cinematographic experience!
Crazy cool how they shot this. Well done! Thanks for posting.
Brilliant.
this was the reason I saw this film :)
I showed this film to our son (15) last weekend and said to him to be conscious of the camera all through the film. This specific scene is perhaps the finest 12 minutes of bravado camerawork I have ever seen, and I count Inception's corridor scene and pretty much the whole of Gravity in that. The only thing that comes close for me is the whole of Victoria, a brilliant German one-take film.
Ben Vost you forgot the french film Irreversible.
@@matthedges6625 hows the camera work in irreversible
adersh GR the film is not for the faint hearted. It is very very graphic. But the camerawork is one take in 6 segments. So for a 1.75 hr film the camera was switched on just 6 times. And with the action and scenes being filmed especially in big cities with train journeys etc it is remarkable. But see it with caution. Not for children or adults who are easily offended or squeamish.
One heck of a movie Victoria is! Spot on, couldn’t agree any less with you!
Easily the best movie I saw that year. Borderline criminal it didn’t win awards.
Yep. Go figure......
I feel like a part of this movie that's underrated is the set and world design. It's wild how they made it look like everything is shot on location despite it not existing in real life at all. Like the rickshaws in destroyed British cities
This may be the most technically impressive scene in modern film. It's up there with stuff like the Ben Hur chariot race. Just so impressive
Wow, just found this video now. Thanks for sharing!
genius!
Just watched a doco on this very memorable scene. It took a month to set up. A d yes it is one tracking shot.
An incredible film. Quite mind blowing
Amazing 👏
Insane!😍🔥
Amazing !!!! I m shock!!!
Wow! Just wow
Awesome! did they really use a fiat multipla for the doggicam?
Making history
Amazing BTS
Best movie of 2006.
In my top ten of all time. And I see A LOT of films
How did they acheive the shots which showed the front windscreen and eventually the bullet going through the window and then the camera exiting the car and filming it drive away?
Hidden cuts.
When the car goes away there is a cut at the moment the camera goes out of the car. For the windscreen, it was foldable to allow the camera going in and out. Just amazing.
@@paulcabrera4882 very cool ! ..love it and definitely can't wait to give this a Shot, ...a possible pun there lol
Just saw a doco on Children.
It took a MONTH to do that scene.
And it IS just one tracking shot, despite what others may say
@@TrackpadProductions Saw a doco on it. That was just one tracking shot. It took a month to set up and co-ordinate
mexican genius Cuarón!
Wow
very clever..
If I remember correctly this movie was Oscar nominated for Cinematography but lost out to Pan's Labyrinth. It did win the BAFTA though.
Ahah amazing
Too bad this video did not show the last part of the uncut scene where the camera shot the car leaving the scene... pretty wild...
This movie is too good to have bombed at the box office 😔
still unsurpassed in 2023
Fiat Multipla is my fav car ever
Trump: “let’s make this movie real”
