Thats some flight of the bumblebee stuff
I once heard a double low D custom diatonic. (I've played a double low F. Always wanted to try bass and chord harmonicas. Chromatics catch my mustache.
the intro to the Sanford and Son's Theme song has a bass harmonica as well as 2 different keys of diatonic in the song. The Song is called Streetbeater by Quincy Jones.
I read somewhere that the bass harmonica in The Boxer was played by Charlie McCoy. I don’t know if it’s true, but sounds feasible. I remember the first harmonica player I ever heard live was Cedric Monarch from The Three Monarchs, a comedy harmonica group which started in the 1940s. It was the 1980s and Cedric was knocking on a bit. He played Dame in a pantomime I went to see and he got to play harmonica a bit. Anyhow, the Three Monarchs played all manner of types of harmonicas and often used bass harmonica.
It was indeed Charlie McCoy on the Boxer. I interviewed him in London and made sure to ask him because the Boxer was the first time I ever heard a bass harmonica. Lovely humble guy too!
One of the great things about harp playing is it's portability. I think some engineer at Hohner heard that and said "hold my beer" 😮😂
🤣🤣🤣
Interesting. Thanks
You're very welcome.
Do you think you can show us “We’re here for a good time (not a long time)” by Trooper? I’ve been looking everywhere and I just can’t find a decent video.
this relieves a person who's scared of the 1st hole bend on a g diatonic :D interesting video!
haha! Cheers.
I bet Howard Levy can overblow it. 😂
After the C harmonica i bought A harmonica but A harmonica also sounds same as C harmonica nothing change , but checked notes as per blending traning app it's perfect , need help to understand the keys
Orchestral version of Honey's Coming Home in the pipeline? 🤔😁

haha yep - excellent point!
Hi! I tried many many times to sign up on the website, but I get "Registration failed due to a technical issue. Try again later" error code. Also I did like 100 captchas with bicycles and boats and what not, all the time it simply gave me one more and more more to solve. :)) Even so, the "I'm not a robot" checkbox seemed green and fine. I tried to use the Contact section to mail you about my issue and guess what? Neither the Contact section works. :)) It says that the server is down or something like that. Just FYI
I'm sorry to hear you were having trouble with my website! Thanks for the heads up. I had a quick check and all seems to be working. Sometimes clearing cache and cookies / using a different browser can do the trick. I get so frustrated with those captchas so I feel your pain. Gotta have them for security tho! Cheers, Liam
😍😍
Cheers!
Good timing, I have one on the way. I hope you keep covering it, I have been looking for resources for learning and there is nothing to be found, any book recommendation or other resource?
Wow - that is good timing. I don't currently have any recommendations as I'm still a newbie to the bass harmonica but hopefully I'll be able to share more in the coming months. Let me know if you find any good resources. I'd be interested to how you get on!
@@Learntheharmonica Ok, I will let you know of any good resources when I find them, if we don't, we probably should use resources from other bass instruments. I'll keep chipping in your bass harmonica videos.
Hey liam! Is it possible if you can do a lesson on U2- Running to Stand Still? Thanks Liam.
Great idea, I'll see what I can do!
@@Learntheharmonica Okay, thanks Liam!
@@Learntheharmonica U2 has some really great harmonica riffs too...
I need to hear? Why?
😂
