Honestly I was so into a book the other day that I realised that I broke the spine halfway through so now there’s one annoying crack down the middle and the book stays open in a weird way... at least it’s well loved and shows I appreciated the actual story rather than the condition of the book 🤷🏽♀️ still annoys me though 😂

i tried to read in the bathtub once... didn't end up as planned...

Yes! I drink tea while reading AT LEAST once a day, but sometimes I do it up to three times a day. I’m literally doing it while I’m writing this, I just decided to take a little CZcams break! Also, this is a coincidence, because she mentioned chai tea being her favourite kind, and that’s what I’m having!
But but.... Not at night! Caffeine and all that...

booknerdparadise I used to read in the bath when I was younger (9,10,11) when I was reading kids books but my books always got a bit wet but I didn’t care but I would cry now
same! I can only read in a quiet place and I like to wear comfortable clothes while reading too! I love to read on my sofa or bed :)

I read before bed mostly too. I've also started reading at work between appointments. I've recently discovered that snacking helps me from falling asleep too soon when I'm all cuddled up in bed while reading....so I try to have a little something ready to go if I'm wanting to stay up later to read!
Ooh, this was so interesting! I actually have two opposite reading 'routines' one is quite like yours- snuggled up in bed, with a cup of tea at night in pyjamas with no sounds whatsoever. Yet when I use the bus (pretty much everyday) the service into town and back home can either go the long way round or the shorter way round, so I always get the longer route and I have music playing in my earphones whilst I read ( I get quite a lot of reading done on it). I also like to read in the bath too, especially in autumn and winter, I have candles, relaxing music, bubbles, sometimes wine, it's great!
+Rachel Hesketh I could never read with headphones on. I'd be too distracted listening to the music lol. I don't mind having some outside noise, but in the summer I find myself turning on my A/C to block a lot of the noise while I read.
I always listen to the same album (The Trail To Oregon Soundtrack- Team StarKid) over and over again though whilst reading, and walking to and from the bus stops that it does just become background noise. It also blocks out most of others chatting and little kids screaming and I feel like I'm in my own little bubble. Even today I was in the zone, didn't look up once from my book and ended up missing my stop and was almost into town. I had to then catch another bus back home!

Your Chai Tea coffee concoction is fantastic, and Goldfish are the greatest snack. I like to have classic music on when I read. It clears the room easily for me, and blocks out surrounding noise. It gives my brain some undistracting background noise. I am such a bad tub reader, it is not a skill of mine to kudos to you!

for the noise.....i love having a fan in the backround or the sould of rain or having the "fan" in the bathroom while reading in the bathtub
I totally agree, reading when you can hear rain against the windows is just the most relaxing thing!
Ugh this made me so motivated to read! I know what you mean about the rain! It's so cozy and comfy, and I absolutely read so much when I make a routine out of it!
I always read before I go to bed, and then I wake up the next morning with the book either under me or on my chest.📚

I can't read without music. I just can't. And it has to fit the tone of the book, too, which is super annoying because if I can't find the right music, there's just no way I can start reading. I mostly listen to instrumentals though, so they don't distract me.

the thing that bothers me the most during reading is trying to keep the book open with my fingers..
Every time I watch ur videos I like to look at your bookshelf and examine which books I've read or like and I'm screaming bc I see a lot of the books I like as well

We have the exact same routines: in bed, snuggled with the puppies, in comfy PJs, no noise. Me to a tee. Though I can`t eat or drink while reading. In fact I've gone many days without eating because I just spent the whole day in bed reading haha. But other than that we're the same!
I usually read totally randomly when it makes sense but sometimes I make big plans. For example tonight is a cozy reading night because the heat seems to have broken here. I'm going to make hot chocolate and snuggle with my cat and blanket on the couch and read.
This was so funny haha, also you're so neat! Your room is so clean, I'd love to see a room tour! (although this will probably take awhile since you're in England now!)

omg your dogs are sooooo adorable and cute *.* i mostly read when im out or i go out with my mom she goes on stores and i stay outside or i follow her in the store while im reading, i also read during breaks/lunch at school/french course(im not in school now,im taking french classes) i also read during class, and ont he bus when im going to the french course and coming.. i rarely read at my house bc i want to do other stuff like spend all day on the computer watching videos or movies or tv shows or netflix or going on devaintart etc.. so when i get out of the computer its already time to go to bed.. (also to reading my bed is super uncomfortable bc i have bunk bed (after a while it hurts my back when i sit)

I have noise-canceling headphones and I used them mostly for blocking noise rather than listening to music.

I’m the complete opposite for reading and eating, I used to read ALL day from 9 am till like 10 pm and not eat all it became SUPER bad for my health and I became underweight so now my parents make me eat at least 2 meals a day.

My reading routine is I get in pjs and get a snack go in my bed turn off all the lights get a flashlight and read for like an hour and go to bed.

I love to read up in my bedroom,as for the living room that impossible,because we have 3 dogs.mia and Freddie,they love to lay on the love set and sleep but what makes it hard to read down there is is our newest almost one year old puppy,Spooky.she love to keep bringing me her puppy toys so I can play with her.

I agree with you Zoë! I'm unable to read when people are talking, music or tv is playing or even the tinist bit of sound! It can be quite hard sometimes sadly :(

Dude you are like my soul mate! I make coffee by putting in one hot cocoa pack then I pour coffee instead of water and I add vanilla creamer or a marshmallow!!

You and I literally have the same eating habits for reading! Goldfish and chai tea, or coffee 90% not coffee and a lil coffee xD omg so cool!!
i'm the same when it comes to noise, especially voices. I tend to be focused more on who's talking that my book. that's why i love going to my schools library's quiet floor because no one is allowed to talk :)
