@@aliflim649 Willam was disqualified for breaking the rules (allegedly) so the producers came up with the story that she had conjugal visits from her husband. That was a made-up lie since the real reason she got DQ was the poor conditions season4 queens were put up and she called that out. Producers got tired of her complains so they got rid of her. In recent years Willam spoke about being DQ was a thing she had planned when she got casted on the season, that story was confirmed by Derrick Barry

Fracking: having a choice about it is an illusion. Ru DID NOT have a say. It's basically you sign mineral rights to get some sort of monetary compensation, or the drilling company just takes it anyway and you get nothing. You will NOT stop them. I know this from experience.
Story time if you're interested:
I live in north Texas right over the Barnett Shale, which is a HUGE natural gas reserve. Several years ago a drilling company decided they were going to start fracking next to a lake that was in our neighborhood, so all of the residents of the neighborhood had to sign a contract with the company (XTO Energy) to give them mineral rights in exchange for monthly monetary compensation based on the amount of material fracked from that property.
There was no refusing this.
Even if the ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD had said no, they still would have drilled regardless. Does it sound like it should be illegal? Yes. But if the city wants the revenue from the drilling? Tough shit, that company is going to be allowed to drill, pollute the water, and release chemicals into the air.
My dog died of lymphoma at only 9 years old because of that goddamn fracking well when my previous dog of the same breed had lived to 16. I'm still angry about it because as far as I'm concerned, XTO took her from me. Several other dogs in the neighborhood died of cancer within the span of a couple years. God only knows what it's done to us.
So long story short: I don't blame Ru for signing over those mineral rights on his property (does Ru go by he/him? I honestly don't know so if I'm incorrect PLEASE let me know!) because more than likely he didn't REALLY have a choice. Energy companies rule the world and have the gov't in their back pocket for a reason.

Bout freaking time! Because the fandom will always, ALWAYS blame RuPaul for fracking and of course, the fandom is toxic af to a point of being blamed for racism which is not surprising. If the fracking situation happened to a white queen, they'll defend it or be split, but as soon as a BIPOC queen does it: CANCELLED!

I'm gonna play devil's advocate with the Pearl vs Ru situation. While Ru may have thought that what she said was constructive, I can definitely see how it came off as condescending to Pearl. Ru did have a point in what she said, but she could have worded it differently so it didn't sound so judgy and holier-than-thou. I don't blame Pearl for how she responded to it.
Season 12 is one of my favourite seasons. But it makes me so mad at how good Sherri Pie was, because she did such a horrible thing.

I also do like, concerning the Sherrie pie fiasco, that they completely white washed her for the re-filmed reunion and the finally. Just no mention of Pie at all, save for the jab at Dahlia Sins being "#13 in a 12 person race...."
I think America edited Sherry Pie out as much as they could, but internationally they showed a lot more with a disclaimer about her behaviour at the beginning of each episode
RuPaul's Drag Race has been consistent in giving us quality entertainment over the years. Somehow it isn't always perfect, and same goes with other reality shows.

I hadn't forgotten Willam's disqualification, Ru's unfortunate comments about trans competitors, how Delta was treated, Pearl's faceoff w/Ru, Manila's period dress, Willam's claims about how queens were treated on set, Eureka's ACL, Tyra's problems (and how she was treated for years before that, which wasn't mentioned), or Sherry Pie's abuses of others ("catfishing" doesn't cover it). So most of the list I not only hadn't "completely forgotten" about, but, barring dementia, could never forget. But there were a few gems in there.

They all are brave and overcame a huge hurdle in their lives and now have a successful career because they believed.
I have to admit, Rue had a point about drag queen being men who dresses as women and that transwomen aren't men who dresses as women since they identify as women. Sure, some transpeoples started as drag queens, but once you fully transition you no longer qualify as a drag queen since you are no longer a man. They should just have their own show instead of trying to hijack drag race. Transwomen are advocating so hard to be considered the same as biological women, them wanting to be included in drag is like a step backwards in my opinion. Afterall they would never let a bio woman participate, why should a transwomen be allowed?
Can you please explain why its the production fault what happened to eureka? I dont get it. Its accident and they brought her to the hospital and remove her from the competition to avoid further damage to her body. I do agree with the rest of the controversy

@@asaabrahamagulnik574 well for me she made the decision to do the split base on her skill and shes very confident to do so. She did it several times in the show for what i can remember. Which is her choice. Its a different story if they ask farrah moan to split and she tried and injured herself thats a different story. Its like saying we should remove stunts in lip syncs. You cannot control what the queens will do. Thats my take on it. Whats important the production made sure that she was taken care of after the incident. Also remember when aja jump from the box? So if she was injured its the productions fault? See why i got confused?

I knew the second this show went to VH1 and drew younger contestants it would turn to this. It’s a show meant to entertain nothing more. It really is a shame that some contestants are bitching about every bit of minutiae of the show.

Tyra was never the bad guy and neither was Phi Phi. Sh*ron however is one of the most problematic people ever on the show.

My biggest complaint with the Sherry Pie situation was that they should've addressed the issue ON the show before the reunion (more than just the donations-made disclaimer after episodes where Sherry won the week's challenge). I mean, I don't do Facebook or Twitter or any of the rest of the social media crap so I ended up having to Google what happened and it still didn't really clarify the situation. But, the biggest issue I really had was the affect on Jackie Cox's performance. She got eliminated from the competition in the final episode before the reunion and the grand finale. (Granted, it helped make things a bit easier since the show's reunion and finale episodes were seriously affected by the COVID pandemic. Setting up the virtual finale with just 3 contestants was easier than trying to do it with 4 but the Sherry Pie issue seriously screwed over Jackie.)
As an aside, I was also pissed at Jaida's win for the season. Crystal and GIgi were far more creative in their individual challenges than Jaida (wow--Jaida did a dance routine; how original) and Gigi had racked up more wins in the season but it looked like Ru had predetermined a Black queen was going to win and Jaida was the last one standing.
nah, Gigi peaked in the Madonna Rusical. Jaida was consistent during the entire season, after the first half Gigi just faded into the background, was given a lot of free passes, saves from lipsyncs and debatable wins. And what could have Gigi brought to the winners table that Aquaria didn't already have? and DR has never been about who wins the most challenges lol. Jaida served Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent, and she deserved the crown, periodt.
If you forgot any of these you are not a superfan!
Is mental health issues a scandal though? They're very real, but to specify Asstina when countless Queens have expressed mental health issues (a very common issue in the general public as well) what about Asstina's situation made it scandalous?
Also when talking about having openly trans Queens on later seasons, why didn't you show those openly trans Queens. You immediately showed a handful of Queens who came out later on. They still deserve that recognition, but showing openly Trans Queens would have driven home your point much better.
Ru knows how to control a narrative especially since its HIS show, he calls the shots. He like an old school old money Republican expects certain "liberties" for this.
Are we not going to talk about Sharon Needles wearing a Confederate flag on the stage, and no one stopped her?
Sherry did NOT "Catfish" people. She faked another person, but also ruined lives, including breaking up relationships and gaslighting a guy into using steroids.
Why you asume we forgot??? Thanks to Pearl we knew how fake Rupaul is, too bad for her to saw how really is her hero and she doesnt know how to put make up herself haha. And how restricted are the laugage, food etce
