I like how in MW you can hear other peoples voices in the background when you're on the radio it gives a sense of that they're at a station where there's multiple people and other people requesting orders
You can also faintly hear unencrypted comms from other radios while looking at the leaderboard and in the menus, the amount of effort put in MW is too much to just let it die for any other COD game

I like how modern warfare streaks are modern and cold war is older technology fitting the time it takes place,like how the chopper gunner in modern warfare is you looking on through a scope that can turn thermal and the guns are underneath the chopper and you can shoot missiles,but in cold war the chopper gunner has a minigun mounted on the side
I love how he had to clips like 3 minutes because it spawns the attack chopper doing run ups and then taking off from the closest airfield. At least that's how long it takes to come in game.

@@zenoking6269 it's not about that, but the atmosphere, sounds, feelings, sure cod games are not mil Sims but mw presented extremely good content, realistic sounds, reaload techniques that are actually used in military appreciation, an Arcady experience with a touch of realism. They really did put alot of effort into it, and it brought me back to the series after 5 years of not playing it.

I like the fact that the Cold War VTOL is an actual Soviet built VTOL aircraft, the Yak-38. And also the aircraft slinging the cruise missiles is a Mig-27, given the variable geometry wings, engine intakes, and the narrow but squared nose. Despite how scuffed the game is, it's amusing to know they actually had the knowledge to use actual aircraft developed by the Soviets for such purposes during the Cold War.

I may be the only one but I don’t recall anyone saying pretty much anything bad about MW2019!? Personally, I was SO psyched when this was announced and followed it through all the way through. The beta had me hooked, and it launched to me and all my friends loving it to pieces, even got my ex in on it! The campaign was fun and better imo than the majority of modern campaigns, the multiplayer was unbeatable, the battle royale was.... well we don’t talk about that lol, but generally I didn’t hear much at all said about specifically MW 2019 in a negative light. A bit about the campaign and BR, while the rest was thought of as one of the best! When CW came out in beta I was super stoked too, cause I mean, Vietnam War on the back of MW??? THIS WAS GONNA BE A HIT! and then it wasn’t... animations were janky, reflections were bad, graphic in general felt like a massive downgrade, gameplay felt boring, such a backstep from MW2019, and my friends all thought similar however they all bought it and stopped playing in about a month or two. Still glad I never personally bought it. And I saw a fair bit of flak about the downgrade too online, however it also was praised for some stuff too That’s all just my opinion and experiences tho, if you feel opposite, then I just hope it’s still alive. Started playing MW again the other week and the servers are okay, but being in Australia means it takes a bit longer to find a game. Still good fun tho, great to be back!
As bad as people make Cold War to be, the scorestreaks are well polished in both games. I really like the cruise missile in both games because of the mini-cutscene it has before you control it
The Cold War VTOL jet makes no sense. Assuming it's based on the Yak-38 (which it appears to be) then in no way shape or form should it be able to maneuver or point straight down like that..
Treyarch had way less time to put towards cold war. Also Cw is gonna look less realistic bc it's a Treyarch game that's the way they always make their games

Because CW has scorestreaks so anyone can get any score streak. It's toned down so little kids don't get pissed they can't get their streaks because they don't have the skill

Why does the MW VTOL in the thumbnail look like it is from 2005? I didn’t appreciate this until now but neither exactly resemble the more mainstream VTOLs we know. Like the MW kinda looks like a Harrier but not entirely and the VTOL in BOCW looks like the F-104C Starfighter which was an interceptor around the Cold War era but wasn’t a VTOL. It was meant to be a supersonic interceptor, not really meant for dogfights and stuff.

The VTOL in Cold War is modeled off a Yak-38M, the first and only soviet production supersonic vtol aircraft made during the cold war. This aircraft was mostly specifically made to be able to land vertically onto certain aircraft carriers. The Yak-36(previous model) and Yak-141(next model) were only used for testing purposes.
I like how fast paced CW is, like how it transitions from foot characters to air characters, like the cruise missiles. In CW, it's a 3.5 sec transition from foot to missile. Where as in MW, it takes 5 secs. Not bias or anything, just saying its cool
Right. You should watch the bo3 mission called Operation sand castle. In certain segments in that mission, you fly a vtol blowing stuff up. The VTOL in BOCW is pretty much just that same thing
Someday Cold War will receive the love it deserves is a game that tries to combine the nostalgia of black ops 1 with the new mechanics of MW (2019) but the short development time it was something that hurt them If they just put warzone aside a little bit, the game could improve even more. I loved using the Pointman perk and playing the objective in MW19. That moment when you get a VTOL and a support helo in the air at the same time... so satisfying.
I think MW is a super refined game with a classic and long campaign, fun multiplayer with great original maps and also renewed old maps, and the spec ops is good if you have friends and you play it right. Cold War was a bit of a disaster at first but they really did good with the originality. There’s a lot of stuff from Black Ops 1 but it had its own feel. And they also did great with zombies. The maps were pretty decent but outbreak was epic.
They both have good qualities, for example i like the round radar and it's animations but i also like some of the others. I can't tell which is which though since they aren't labeled. A lot of people are biased so i can see why they'd say one is better than the other

THIS WAS GONNA BE A HIT! and then it wasn’t... animations were janky, reflections were bad, graphic in general felt like a massive downgrade, gameplay felt boring, such a backstep from MW2019, and my friends all thought similar however they all bought it and stopped playing in about a month or two. Still glad I never personally bought it. And I saw a fair bit of flak about the downgrade too online, however it also was praised for some stuff too
That’s all just my opinion and experiences tho, if you feel opposite, then I just hope it’s still alive. Started playing MW again the other week and the servers are okay, but being in Australia means it takes a bit longer to find a game. Still good fun tho, great to be back!

As bad as people make Cold War to be, the scorestreaks are well polished in both games. I really like the cruise missile in both games because of the mini-cutscene it has before you control it
The Cold War VTOL jet makes no sense. Assuming it's based on the Yak-38 (which it appears to be) then in no way shape or form should it be able to maneuver or point straight down like that..

It's because CW has Score Streaks instead of killstreaks
Because CW has scorestreaks so anyone can get any score streak. It's toned down so little kids don't get pissed they can't get their streaks because they don't have the skill

Why does the MW VTOL in the thumbnail look like it is from 2005?
I didn’t appreciate this until now but neither exactly resemble the more mainstream VTOLs we know. Like the MW kinda looks like a Harrier but not entirely and the VTOL in BOCW looks like the F-104C Starfighter which was an interceptor around the Cold War era but wasn’t a VTOL. It was meant to be a supersonic interceptor, not really meant for dogfights and stuff.

The VTOL in Cold War is modeled off a Yak-38M, the first and only soviet production supersonic vtol aircraft made during the cold war.
This aircraft was mostly specifically made to be able to land vertically onto certain aircraft carriers.
The Yak-36(previous model) and Yak-141(next model) were only used for testing purposes.
There is also the MiG-23/27 present for other scorestreaks.

I like how fast paced CW is, like how it transitions from foot characters to air characters, like the cruise missiles. In CW, it's a 3.5 sec transition from foot to missile. Where as in MW, it takes 5 secs. Not bias or anything, just saying its cool

Someday Cold War will receive the love it deserves is a game that tries to combine the nostalgia of black ops 1 with the new mechanics of MW (2019) but the short development time it was something that hurt them If they just put warzone aside a little bit, the game could improve even more.

I think MW is a super refined game with a classic and long campaign, fun multiplayer with great original maps and also renewed old maps, and the spec ops is good if you have friends and you play it right. Cold War was a bit of a disaster at first but they really did good with the originality. There’s a lot of stuff from Black Ops 1 but it had its own feel. And they also did great with zombies. The maps were pretty decent but outbreak was epic.

They both have good qualities, for example i like the round radar and it's animations but i also like some of the others. I can't tell which is which though since they aren't labeled. A lot of people are biased so i can see why they'd say one is better than the other

People need to remember that the timeline in Cold war is way older, so the score streaks have a more vintage look
