  • This video looks at the 23rd Psalm from the needs of a sheep. Pastures in Isreal are not lush and green, but rocky wilderness. How can a rod and staff comfort a sheep? Why are their heads anointed with oil and what does "prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies mean"? Find out this and more as we study this Psalm of David together.

It feels so good to have God as Our Shepherd. Along with this thought I am thinking about a Scripture in Isaiah 40.11 He tends his flock like a Shepherd, He holds the little lambs in his arm, Gently he leads the mothering Lamb
He holds them close to His heart. I write songs and I just received a song about this Mighty Shepherd. We are so blessed. I feel blessed right now. Hallelujah.

Beg to differ: hmmm, "sheeps & wisdom" , let alone "intelligence", never the twain shall meet, and the recent and prolonged voluntary flocking to euthanasia centers aka fuxxine spots, to be injected with lethal GMO cocktails and bleeting "thank U" too didn't do any good to the sheeps' reputation as dim-witted critters. And only those sheep who heard the GOOD Shepherd's voice were spared.

THERE ARE MANY IN THIS WORLD WHO DOUBT EVEN TO THIS DAY. WHY IT IS SO? THAT IS WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU.
1 Peter 1:20-21; He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
God is Spirit (John 4:24 ;) God the Spirit no man has seen or could ever see (1 Timothy 6:15-16 ;) Man cannot see that glorious face and live (Exodus 33; 20,23;) But God through the prophets have foretold his people, the Israelites that he will come down and teach them. Isa 30:20-21; Yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Psalms 22:22; I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you John 5:39-40; You search the Scriptures… it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. God has a Glorious Form, but man cannot see that glorious form and live unless God showed it to Apostle Peter, John and James when he transfigured before them. So God has to empty that form and take up the form of a Man, but man should look at that human form and believe and obey him, which is equal to obeying God, because He whom God sent utters the words of God and he gives the Spirit (Holy Spirit) without measure. Philippians 2:5-8; Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death John 3:34,36; For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him/. It is when you listen to the words of Lord Yeshua Messiah, you believe him and obey him. It is then the miracle happens, 1 Thessalonians 2:13; We also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, WHICH IS AT WORK IN YOU BELIEVERS. THAT IS THE MOMENT when you receive him because He is the Spirit manifested in a human form. Rom 10:17-18,16; So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for “Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world. BUT -BUT - But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us? Acts 3: 22-26; Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.’ And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed these days. You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.” Acts 2:22-24; Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know- this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. Acts 2:39; For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself. Acts 2:21; For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself. Heb 2:10-18; it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering. For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers, saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children God has given me.” Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Did He not tell the name to his brothers; Tell who? The Jews. What happened? He told them, but they rejected Him. John 1:11; He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. What did the Jews do? They didn’t believe. They mocked him saying, Mat 13:55-57; Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” And they took offense at him. They wanted Him to be crucified. Mar 15:13-14; they cried out again, “Crucify him. Why? What evil has he done? But they shouted all the more, Crucify him. Acts 3:14-15; But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. Rom 11:7-8; What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, as it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.

THE GOOD SHEPHERD AND THE GOOD SHEEP
Lord God says “I am the Good Shepherd” What does the Shepherd expect from the sheep? Walk behind the Shepherd, Follow the Shepherd and do not turn to the right or to the left, but walk straight and you will not go then astray.
John 10:16; My Sheep listen to my voice. If we are the disciples, the sheep, will we listen to any other voice or we will listen to the voice of our Shepherd, abide by his voice and follow him. Mathew 24:24-25; For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. SEE, I HAVE TOLD YOU BEFOREHAND. Who is that Good Shepherd? Under the Old Testament, it is mentioned in Psalms 23:1; The LORD is my shepherd. Did not that Lord Shepherd appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Some people claim and teach others that He didn’t appear. Are they not suppressing the truth? How did the Shepherd appeared to them? Exodus 6:2-4; God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself known to them. When did that Shepherd appeared to Abraham? If he appeared to Abraham, then he existed before Abraham. John 8:58; Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am Gen 17:1-2; When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, that I may make my covenant between me and you, Genesis 18:1, 33; And the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him… And the Lord went his way, when he had finished speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place. Genesis 19:1; The two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When did Jacob say the Shepherd? Gen 32:24-30; And a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day…. But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” And he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed…… So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered. The Israelites heard the voice of that Shepherd Exodus 20:1; God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. Deuteronomy 5:22-23; These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and he added no more. And he wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me. And as soon as you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness. Did the Israelites see any form of God? Deuteronomy 4:12-14; Then the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of words, but saw no form; there was only a voice. And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone. And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and rules that you might do them in the land that you are going over to possess. Did Moses saw God? How did the Shepherd appeared to Moses? Exodus 33:18-23; Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. But,” he said, “You cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” And the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.
Did the Shepherd appeared to Apostle Peter, John and James? How did the Shepherd appeared to them? John 10:14-15; I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. Did they see him any other form? Mark 9:1-4,7; And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power. And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus….. And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only. The Apostles saw, believed and obeyed Lord Yeshua as Lord and as Messiah, the son of God. Why so? Because he is both, at the same time. Acts 2:36; Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified. Did the Son of God asked the Apostles to believe him as Lord God, the Almighty? Does he not want us to believe so? YES, YES, YES- I would say infinite times YES.
John 8:24; I told you that YOU WOULD DIE IN YOUR SINS, FOR UNLESS YOU BELIEVE THAT I AM HE YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS. Yes if mankind do not want to die in their sins, they should or must believe that Lord Yeshua Messiah is HE. Who then is this HE? Deuteronomy 32:39; See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. Isaiah 41:4; Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. Isaiah 45:5; I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; Isaiah 48:12; Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel, whom I called! I am he; I am the first, and I am the last. John 8:28; When you have lifted up the Son of Man, THEN YOU WILL KNOW THAT I AM HE, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. John 13:19; I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that WHEN IT DOES TAKE PLACE YOU MAY BELIEVE THAT I AM HE. Did the Apostles acknowledged Lord Yeshua Messiah as Lord God. How do we know that? John 20:28; Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Rev 19:10; Worship God Rev 22:9; Worship God. Luke 24:51-53; While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple blessing God. Mathew 28:9,17; Behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him … when they saw him they worshiped him, but SOME DOUBTED. 1 John 5:20; We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. HE IS THE TRUE GOD and eternal life

WHAT ABOUT THE GENTILES, the so called followers named as belonging to Christianity? They believed Him, but DENIED HIM, by their works. Tit 1:16;They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work. 2 Tim 3:5; rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. They were not contend with the Faith declared to the Saints, the Apostles and the other early Jewish disciples. Jude 1:3; I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. Who were those Saints? People belonging to the Way. Initially were only 120 (Acts 1:15; and 2:41;) to which the Lord added. Acts 1:14; All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers. Acts 9:2; if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women. What happened to that congregation of the Saints? Jude 1:4; Certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Acts 20:29; Know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert. 2 Pe 2:1; False prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. How the way of TRUTH (the “WAY” the way taught by Lord Yeshua Messiah and the apostles) happened to be blasphemed? They were not contend with the Faith that was declared to the Saints (Jude 1:3;). They went beyond the traditions taught by the Apostles. 2 Th 2:15; So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter. They refused to live like a Jew who was circumcised in the heart, a Jew in whose heart the law of their God is written. Galatians 2:14; When I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews? Instead of imitating the apostles, they who heard the Gospel and believed in the Gospel adopted the ways of the Gentiles by going beyond what was taught by Lord Yeshua Messiah and his holy Apostles and even persecuted the Jews to live like Gentiles. Hebrews 13:7; Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.1 Corinthians 4:6; brothers, you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written. Tit 2:10; not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior. Claiming to be wise, desiring to be teachers of God’s law, what did they do? Romans 1:22; Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man. 1 Timothy 1:6-7; Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions.
Are we going astray and not in the Way of our Shepherd. Examine yourselves. I am not a priest, pastor, evangelist or a teacher. So, if I am wrong, you can correct me, but do not forget to quote from the sacred writings while doing so. May the Lord God bless you readers?
