This actually happened to my older cousin. She was dating this rich guy and her best friend told her that she doesn't like him and that she saw him with other women and that she deserves better and not even one month after they broke up ,her best friend and him started dating.

Sad thing was…this happened to me. Treated my ex the best way I could. We always do things together and the chemistry was so incredible I had never felt so right before!
…then her friends came along and said things like “oh did he bring you a rose on your first date? My date did!” “Did he open the car door for you” “why didn’t he come to the party? He thinks his dental exam more important than you.”
Sad part was, all her friends were single or their “dates” cheated or just used them for sex. So her friends got jealous, a fact which they later admitted, and tried to sabotage us. Sadly, the dmg was done. We had really dumb fights to the point it affected my study and mental state. One of the hardest breakups I ever had, and it took me years later to finally stop blaming myself.
honestly that sucks. i was in a situation like this but i’m the girlfriend to my boyfriend. my “friends” came along and they all had boyfriends themselves and tried to sabotage my relationship with my bf by literally manipulating the situation by asking questions like “doesn’t it sound inconsiderate?” “why can’t he go out of his way to do sth for you” “seems sus” and it’s because we never gotten a successful hang out with her and her man, she just came over once without her bf and started becoming more clingy and tried to ask to come over again and again then she tries to make it my boyfriends fault and flipping the situation. that’s when i realized all my girlfriends are fake and they all want a lifestyle with a rich man and can’t stand their own man. 3 different girls by the way, and they all had boyfriends… 😅

My wife finally saw through her veil of deception when the friend claimed that she saw me driving with ladies having fun.
