- Hi guys, aaaaand here's the second part of this week's BABYMETAL reactions. I'm a sucker for fan songs, so this was such a wonderful surprise. I kept it simple with this one, I don't think this performance required a lot of words or commentary.

Well that was so worth the (short) wait, thank you. Also I completely agree - this is their love letter to the fans. The lights - 55,000 neck braces with white LED bulbs handed out on the night and another 55,000 which lit up red on the second night.
I want to give a big shout out to every BM fan out there supporting the girls and BM team no matter what in every possible way, sharing BM content, liking the songs and commenting on every song they can, you are The One for sure, never give up y'all! 🦊🤘
BABYMETAL just brings so many emotions out of me, and this fills my heart with joy and love. It also brings a tear to my eye. I genuinely think BABYMETAL is a once in a generation group.
hearing 55000 ppl gasp at the same time when the lights came on....Definitely would love to be in that crowd at that moment.

Those neck braces with the lights were handed out to all 110,000 people who showed up for the two nights of shows. You could probably find one on E-bay for a truckload of money, lol. It's so awe inspiring to see them all light up though, and even Su was shocked when she looked into the crowd at about 8:20 of the video.

I have a neck brace from the concert(s)… One if the best live performances I’ve ever attended. 🤟🏻🤟🏻
I've watched this performance dozens of times and I still get my eyes moist.
Those lights were neckbraces with lights that they gave with the tickets and everyone had to wear it. Notice that the first time the lights go on during the transition the girls are backstage and do not see it. When the girls see all the lights for the first time in 8:16 they all get pretty emotional. Yui looks so touched with the chest full of joy, Moa is about to cry, and it is one of those few moments Su goes off character, she looks astonished and literally jaw dropping.

Yup, and at that moment Gombers looked away. Thats one thing many BM reactors do is not paying attention to the video they are reacting to. The way the videos are cut, look8ng away for just a second or less you will miss something.
They decided to do this song in english, because they were moved when they heard fans all over the world started learning japanese to sing along during shows!

When Babymetal came here in 2019, they did something different with the arrangement. Su came out by herself to just the piano, everyone turned the flashlights on their phone on, and Su sang alone on stage to the fans, venue lit by the phones, And when the tempo picked up, Moa came out and the Kami kicked in. An intimate moment in a big hall. A love letter indeed
My mom told me when I was young that in a Judy Garland concert, there was a moment in each show where Judy would just sit on the front of the stage and sing to the crowd. When Su was singing alone to the crowd, I thought this is what it was like with Judy.

The Tokyo Dome concerts (from September 19th and 20th, 2016) are available on blu-ray, and well worth watching.
Over those two nights, they performed all of the songs from the first two albums, except 'From Dusk Till Dawn'.

There is something just oddly inspiring about these tiny girls on those long walkways in the midst of 55,000 fans. So vulnerable yet SO owning the moment. Yes, it's emotional. It's a well crafted song performed by amazing musicians and performers, with amazing staging, and sung with such conviction...... I can't use the word "amazing" enough.
Su’s face at 8:19 just gets me every time. You see Suzuka break out of Su-Metal for just a second. A very genuine moment.

me think only Babymetal , a metal band that creating a song specifically for their fans.
it's not some kind of anthem song like other band do but it's literally a love letter song by Babymetal to their fans and the BEST thing about this song are it's OUR SONG and nobody or any band can cover it without being part of THE ONE.

The official music video for 'THE ONE' has the mixed (part Japanese/part English) version.
There is no fully Japanese version of the song.
Usually this song is performed entirely in English, even in Japan.
Recently they have been starting off with the softer "Unfinished version" before going into the version with drums and guitars.
Su's English just gets better and better.
You can hear her struggle a bit with the word "world" (with that tricky R & L combination) in this video.
In recent performances, she nails the whole thing.
Su-metal singing world in The One it's a far cry from where many Japanese start like Ayami's "parareru waarudo" ;-) (as a karaoke version had)

"The ONE" at Tokyo Dome was played in succession with "TOTD" and it was wonderful.
But I recommend “The ONE" played in Legend S.
The song is said to be an unfinished version.
At that live, "YUIMETAL" was absent and “Su-METAL" and "MOAMETAL" performed together.

Didn‘t expect you to be able to hold back the tears. :-) I certainly couldn‘t the first time I saw this, and sometimes it still gets me. The scene with the neck braces is so epic and captures the spirit of the song perfectly. As does Su‘s angelic voice.

I still consider this performance of TOTD + The ONE from the Tokyo Dome 2016 one of my favorite moments from all BABYMETAL live shows I've watched (all in BD unfortunately). None of the two songs are among my top favorites but the rarity of TOTD makes it so special. And The ONE originated as a sort of spinoff from TOTD so it make sense to take both of them as a combo.

When I first heard "The One", I remembered the song "We Are The World". It was also an uplifting and wonderful song that I learned in a junior high school English class. (I believe it's a famous song that everyone knows all over the world, at least in the USA .... Actually?)
KOBA is close to my generation, so I expect him to be inspired by the song.
I have a BLUE-RAY disc from BABYMETAL's Tokyo Dome live, and the sound quality is much better than the video on the internet, so I recommend you to get it someday.

I have to admit, I'm always about to shed a tear when the "we are on your side... And always on your side" comes. It may sound silly, and I'm fully aware, they didn't write that lyric, but the way Su sings it, I just feel like she means it

Hi Gombers. There are only a VERY small handful of singers that can project emotion and feeling on a got-tier level. Su is one, and I would say Morissette Amon is the other. They are completely different genre of music, but they are both mesmerizing to listen to and watch. I would suggest giving Morissette a try at some point as well. Babymetal in itself has changed my life in a number of ways. It is amazing that 3 little girls can have so much power. God gave them a gift and they did wonders with that gift. I don't know what Yui is up to these days, but I pray she is doing well and is happy. I hope we all hear from her again soon, even if it isn't in Babymetal. I just hope she returns in some form. This is one of my favorite songs. It always puts my heart in my throat as well, along with No Rain, No Rainbow and Akatsuki (unfinished version). This band is just so transformative. That's all I c an say about them lol

I have watched the Tokyo Dome shows a dozen times and I am still impressed and baffled every single time. The stage, the sound, the vocals, it all was put together so well and executed with pure perfection. Seeing 55.000 people each night having a fantastic time and the three girls enjoying what they do is just incredible. Thanks for the reaction Gombers and I am looking forward to the next one.
