We are Linnea and Akela. In May, 2020 I purchased our 2016 Ram ProMaster, Togo, to become our full-time home. With this van build, I am using my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a campervan BY THEMSELVES and ON A BUDGET, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work.
Our goal is to inspire individuals to chase their dreams... to break from societal limitations and live the life they truly desire. And, to GET OUTSIDE!

I watched/listened to this whilst I was doing the floor of my van tonight. I've been getting overwhelmed with the conversion but your videos help remind me i have a goal.
Too many people believe that vanlife is all an adventure, so seeing this video reminds us that there are certain chores that we all have in life that must be done, even when you get to travel to beautiful places. Look forward to seeing you and Akela every week. Stay safe and happy boondocking.

I was wondering why I settled on my subscribed channels, initially for van builds but now I look forward to seeing what everyone is up to. Its a simple joy in life, but so relaxing. I also love the music
When you find an egg, or a few eggs, please dont take them away from where you found it. There are birds that make their nests in gravel, with the small rocks that are there. I think the name of one of those birds is a Killdeer, but Killdeer eggs are speckled. It just always smarter to not mess with nature hun :)
More specifically, there's acts that protect migratory birds. Feathers and eggs aren't allowed to be taken as a result, considered "take", just like actually killing the bird. It's not too big of a deal, but best practice is to leave things untouched.
I like collecting things from my adventures too though>.< Depending on where you are and who's asking, there's a lot of rules about things like that
I'm 56 and only now getting to live this life, when I wanted to be doing it 30 years ago. You are so smart to do it at your age! I'm from British Columbia and just working on my van waiting for the Border to open so my cat and I can head south for 6 months. I love your spirit and adore your dog. May I suggest a slow drive on "Going to the Sun Road" in NW Montana?? It is an incredible drive with breathtaking sights!

Those White Shepherds usually have arctic wolf in them and they do not do the heat well I used to come home from work and it look like it's snowed in my house glad to see you taking care of that sweet girl👋😉☺🐝✌

I believe it's a robin egg. Kind of weird that there was no nest around. It was probably just well hidden. They build cup-shaped nests concealed in bushes or trees.

I live in a tiny home and OMG my laundry fills up and it takes me a bit to get to it! I can totally relate to the struggles. I keep passing by the laundry basket and it mocks me .... I need clean clothes ... lol

As far as the laundry yes gosh I have so many clothes. Don’t think I’m going to bring them all or nearly all of that just too many. The dog hair yes oh my gosh my socks. It’s crazy. I have a white shepherd myself. They’re the best. Mines a female I think yours is also. I am picking up my trailer Thursday. It’s a white 16 foot concession trailer. I’m going to set it up to live in. Started watching you. I’ve been watching Phill and Lydia. Sorry their names aren’t spelled right. They got me hooked a few years ago didn’t think I would be doing something like this. But the more I watch them the more I’m like I want to go do that. Been married for the last 20 years getting a divorce. Can’t explain that don’t understand it myself. But I’m going to be out there soon. Excited. I know a lot about a lot of stuff. I understand the magical feeling of finding an intact egg. It's like Easter with a bang! But please please please, leave the egg where you found it. Not all birds build nests as we think of nests. Killdeers, for example, just use the rocky ground. Also thanks for sharing about the mundane hassles of car/rv living. You seem like the sort of person we all would like to know!
Yes, I used to go to the park with my mom and find killdeer nests, they are so so special!
Unfortunately this was a robins egg that I found in an area where many people park their rigs. It was cold and very out of place. I didn’t want it to be crushed, so I placed it elsewhere where it can decay on its own.

There are some bird species that do not build nests and look like irresponsible parents, leaving their eggs and chicks in the open.. Not a judgement, just For future reference. :)

Yeah you probably don’t wanna touch the egg and just leave it there a lot of birds will lay their eggs on the ground and then come back later or at night time
This was a robins egg that was out of a nest! Often brightly colored eggs aren't laid in ground nesting situations. This little guy was toast unfortunately.
