- Whether you’re playing with an amp or without, the Harley Benton CLR-ResoElectric will always make itself heard. In essence, this is a resonator guitar with a chrome-plated and attractively engraved body paired with a gold-coloured cover plate. The mahogany neck has a wenge fretboard with a 24.7 inch scale length. And if this guitar still isn’t loud enough for you, the gold-coloured lipstick single coil pickup will deliver the sound to, say, a cranked valve amplifier. Boom Boom Boom Boom!

Mine just arrived today!! Only took 5 days from the time I ordered to having it delivered to my house from Germany to the US. Would have been 4 days except no Sunday delivery in the US. Normally it takes the US sellers 5 days just to ship it from their building. Was set up perfect. Sounds amazing through my Vox amp!! To be honest I bought it because it is one of the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. Turns out it plays great and feels great to play. Nice feel to the neck. Sounds good without an amp like a high end resonator. Great sounds with my Vox amp and my homemade tube amps.Thick full sound with bite. Purchased a B stock return. Looked like brand new. No marks or signs of use. Can't imagine why anyone would return this guitar. Every guitarist needs one of these. At this price it is a no brainer. This makes 42 for my guitar collection. Think I will have to pick up the chrome one also. Hard to find this quality at any price point but when they are practically giving them away it is just ridiculous. I put it in my main display area with my vintage Hagstroms ,Martins,and 70's Russian guitars. Fits in well there. Harley Benton and Thomann kept on sneaking into my CZcams for the last couple years. Always heard good things but was skeptical. They have a new loyal customer. Run a very efficient operation and sell quality at a fair price. Great job!!!!!

Got this one from Thomann...
The first two I shipped back due to really bad intonation and extremly bad strings.
The third one was adjusted/intonated and set up with better strings by Thomann before shipping.
Now it plays really well 👍😉🎶.
Would definitely buy this one if there was a version for leftys :'(
I like the sound. How is the balance on the lap, does it tend to have more weight towards front or back if you don't hold it?
Would be nice to add a piezo pickup and a balance knob for lipstick & piezo. I'd prefer a deeper body for bigger sound.

What gauge strings come on this guitar?
I ordered two HB guitars from Thomann and both arrived damaged out of the box. Thomann customer service has been a nightmare to work with and they reluctantly agreed to partial refund which was only 25Eruos(!) And has not been paid yet(after two weeks!).

That sucks. I just got 3 HB guitars shipped to the US. They were undamaged and all set up. However, they weren't overly protected in the shipping box. That must be how they can ship 3 for the price of 1. Sorry about your experience.
@@budokaiboy thanks, I am glad it worked out for you. Broken headstock on one of the guitars also made me realize that the wood used was nothing like what they advertised. Instead of a quality solid piece of wood, it was multiple layers of cheap thin wooden plates. I am pretty sure they pay all CZcamsrs to praise their guitars

Who on earth would decorate a Resonator guitar with palm trees??? It's a country and bluegrass instrument!!!😂😂😂
I believe some of the original national company resonator guitars from the 30s/40s were decorated with Palm trees, I guess people back then liked their fancy things.
Very nice sound - except for the overdriven parts at the beginning and the end of this video. Way too much drive, so the guitar is coughing and sputtering, the overdrive pedal (or the amp) can't handle the incoming level.
