Anyone who thinks the cat is annoying clearly never dealt with the dog on Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. This was pretty simple in comparison. Thanks for showing me I needed to hit the dumb trashcan monster with dark light to beat it. That was the only part I got stuck on
Oh, no. Dark Moon was deadass so easy with Polterpug. This was just pure ass.
Easy mode: use Gooigi to stun polterkitty while having Luigi turned around. For some reason polterkitty doesn't see Gooigi.

I was stuck in this part, but I found out that if u let the kitty scape after u open the closet u should find for it inside the plants, u can open the plants pressing or holding “R” or “A”
I felt literally 0 fun during this part

Thanks for the vid. My game glitched. The cat would immediately go back inside the other room every single time I opened the door. It didn’t matter what I did, the cat would always go to the next room

Yall are trippin this game has done nothing but hold my hand the whole way through. Polterkitty is not very confusing at all if you played the polterpup missions in dark moon. The only reason i even came to this guide was because I didn't know you needed to hit the trashcan monster with the dark light. Everything else was pretty straightforward.
Went from my favorite level to the one i hate most when that cat appeared

This is nothing compared to the polterpup missions in the previous luigis mansion game. THOSE were some tedious bullshit
What you could have done was when the cat was sneaking up on Luigi just have gooigi out and the cat doesn't go away so you could get the flash thing ready.

You can just literally have GoGi standing right next to Luigi charging up the light with it point at the cat.As soon as he rears black use GoGi light.The cat does not register GoGi.You have to wait for him to rear back.That’s the key
In my game, Polterkitty is just glitched. She’s just in a roof and just waits there.

Never mind I just figured it out. You have to go back to the bathroom with the pink flower leaf piles and suck up all the pink leaves until the cow peers, and then go to the vine bedroom and beat the ghost with two tongues using Luigi and Gooigi and then you can go into the watermelon bathroom and your water melons will be back
i let polter-kitty ESCAPE TWICE THEN YEAH BASICALLY AFTER THAT I COULDNT FIND POLTER- KITTY ESCAPE THEN COMPLETE PAIN

The cat wasn’t in the closet but inside one of the flowers, hope it helps.
U got to track it all the way or else it won’t appear

Also you can avoid it jumping to the other plants if you flash them and vacuum the whole plant
The cat seems to be gone in my game. Wardrobe is open and empty with pawprints on. It's not showing up in the next hiding spot in the adjacent bathroom. The last hiding spot in the bath is also not working.

The cat was hiding in the closet that was already opened! Keep checking it.

There are 2 closets on the 7th floor. They look identical. None of the guides note this. If she’s not in the one you check she should be in the second one.
