Nintendo and SEGA need to team up and make another F-Zero game like this one!!!😭😭😭😭😭
The thing they may do is make an HD remaster for the Switch or the next console.
In case anyone was curious, these racers are hitting anywhere from 500 to 1000 miles per hour.
The tracks would have to be mind-numbingly huge to accommodate that level of speed and the racers would need nearly precognitive reaction times.
But what if you were travelling on a track at 50 miles an hour. Expand the track 100 times in all directions and go around it at 500 miles an hour, wouldn't everything be thr same??
@@paulsd9255 While that's certainly true, most futuristic settings like this tend to have a technological excuse for why that's not an issue. Considering its close ties to Star Fox, I'd imagine it's something along the lines of their G-Diffuser systems, which I don't believe was actually ever explained how it worked.
@@MrCrunchytime you sure they didn't just do an Ace Combat and pull up all the mute psychopaths?
The speed in this game is beyond insanity.
I notice the faster a pilot is going,
the more their character portrait vibrates

We need another f zero game.
There might be a trilogy for this, it will have f zero X, GX, and AX. The ones for GBA are unlockable.
@@alandunaway3000 Indeed. Triforce is also coming to nintendo switch.
@@sunnydayyesgameofthronesno2981Nintendo doesnt care about you I'm afraid
@@derekmaullo2865 Apparently, there are rumors about that game getting remastered for the Nintendo switch called “F-Zero GX HD.”
I greatly miss this game to no end the beauty of this futuristic racing the music the graphics the difficulty the memories......please Nintendo for once....port this to the switch as a remaster.....and my life will be complete ❤️
Ya kno what? Fuck it, if Nintendo doesn't wanna do it (or can't), I'll do one myself
I might just learn how to code on the Switch just to get that dream...
Dude this game was fast as fuck boi.
Fun Fact: This was made by the same guys who made super monkey ball
And I'm sure they reused the engine on the 1st Sonic All Star racing game, because some of the bugs (specific ways of flying off the track when you're going too fast) present themselves in the same way there
it's very cool that players are competing running in incredible speed in heart-pounding bgm!!!!
I don’t know if hotels still do this.
But when I was a kid back in the early 2000’s, we’d go on vacation and some hotels had a N64 in the room. I remember one had F-Zero.
Then I got my first GameCube for Christmas one year. I think it was around the time Super Mario Sunshine was released. That was my first game.
Somewhere along the line I had a copy F-Zero GX. The Skull theme song stuck in my head even after all these years.
I don’t play video games anymore but I see a lot of the games I used to own back in the day increasing in value.
And I am here watching F-Zero GX videos until Nintendo releases a new F-Zero game for the Switch
Watching you push the vehicle to the limit is really exciting; awesome gameplay
You cant compare this game to mario kart. Its goal was way different. Everyone has roughly the same speed, so what really set you apart is your understanding of the track, your motor skills in making sure that corners don't eat your speed, keeping up your momentum, and if all else fails and you encounter a racer who equally as good as you are, it turns into a game of chicken to see who's willing to race near DEATH to get that last inch towards the finish line. Sometimes its not enough for you to win. Sometimes they have to DIE. This game was breaking its own boundaries and the meaning of racing.
It's a hardcore racing game for sure. But i'd argue it's just way too difficult in the story mode. And there is zero training, you're in the deep end as soon as you start lol. I could never finish the game to the point of being able to unlock the hidden F-Zero AX arcade game. That killed me for about 15 years, until i got Dolphin on my PC and unlocked it with AR codes. It felt hollow though like i had'nt earned it,so i still have'nt played it properly. Different rules as well.
This game was made with vodoo magic and used the gamecube to 100%
There needs to be a new F-Zero game for the Switch that is mainly focused on multiplayer. There could be two players playing on a TV (the splitscreen being horizontal) or just one player or you could play online with 29 other players.
@@moonlightostrich3690 it's insane how you race with 98 other people and it's cool how it's based off the original F-Zero on the SNES

Games like this make gran turismo, need for speed or forza look like turtles
I remembered my mom rent this game for me from blockbuster back in '03. This game is addictive.
I kinda wished they increased the race count to 40 to account for the unlockable characters.
I'm pretty sure this is the last game I ever poured my heart into 100% completing, and when I say I poured my heart into it... damn... it cost me nearly every drop of blood lol, the difficulty in this game was brutal. But honestly, it made me appreciate my efforts and most of all, the game, once it was all said and done.
Was this recorded using an emulator? If so, is there much input lag when using an emulator? I get the sense that could really make an already difficult game even harder.
This was played on an emulator, but I personally haven't noticed any problems with input lag. Playing with someone online is a different matter, though. If you are considering playing this on an emulator, I would suggest looking into getting an adapter for using an official Gamecube controller on PC.
Same here. I was in Highschool and 100% this game and it was brutal. I've never 100% a game since 😂
I'm older now than I was in 2003 but this game never age!
F Zero GX On Nintendo GameCube Kicks Butt (Awesome)
Watching this is giving me nostalgia. I think i'm gonna have to bust out the controller and play again.
I remeber beating most of the master difficulty maps as a kid. The diamond cup was the only one i couldn't clear.
This would be cool to play today in 2024-2025
Good gameplay bro
If they were to bring back F-Zero, they should special guest all the heroic starfox characters in the race.
For a game from 2003, it plays as fast as WipEout HD.
9:00 WOW
I think that's the just the Master difficulty, if anything. The difficulty below master, "Expert" is the last one that feels fair. I think the point of Master is that it's outlandishly difficult(though still not as hard as most of the 'Very Hard' chapter missions lol).
I typically like to play very aggressively on Ruby Cup, tracks are the easiest to get spare lives especially needed for Master class.
speeeeeeeeeed !
I'd be more than happy with a DX remaster. I would actually go out and buy another Switch just for FZero.
Reminds me of the boss races in ridge racer where even if you were way faster, the ai were programmed to stay on your ass to capitalize on any mistake you made.
F zero tem que voltar!! É muito show
They should rerelease this on the Switch
And no better arcade racing game was made until these days
F zero gx (2002 PS2, PC, Xbox, GameCube)
Great game but too much difficult. Still playable now.
I actually find this game to be slightly easier than F-Zero X.
I've beaten all cups in X on Master (including both DD cups), and yet I have a hard time winning on Master on this one. I can win with a custom machine or a good enough default ship, but I'm still trying to do this with the Blue Falcon. For some reason I can't handle it as well as other players I've seen on Master do; as an example, at this turn in Sand Ocean (4:35), I can't do it without a drift turn, even if I nail the first half, I'll always hit the outside wall even with L + Left. I don't think it's my controller either, because it's in good condition and I calibrated it (and found no real issues there). And don't get me started on Lightning...
Anyway, this game is way more punishing of mistakes than X was, and X wasn't exactly forgiving either. For perspective of my skill level (at the time of this comment), this guy playing on Master makes it look like what happens when I play on Expert...
@@NessBrawl64 I know that GX is very difficult, too, but I have beaten GX before, but I struggle with X, even on Expert Class, even with a first-party controller in great condition, way more than I did with GX on Expert Class. That's why I find X harder. I will, however, admit that Phantom Road: Slim-Line Slits is VERY difficult, 'cause it's so easy to lose speed and energy, in that course.
@@ShadowSora8491 Just 3 tips for next time you play X:
1) Try messing with the speed settings a bit and see what works best for you. You can see most people in videos set the Accel-Max Speed bar to like 2 away from the Max Speed side (if they don't go full Accel for drifting shenanigans). But if you try 3 or even 4, the car gets easier to handle, you get a little better accel and you don't lose that much speed. I did a lot better after finding this out
2) Side attacks are good for turning, they can cut less speed than actual turning. There's a bit of a difference if you side attack _before_ or _after_ moving the stick, learn it and you should know when to use each one (or even avoid using it entirely at times). You also regain your grip if you side attack just as you start to lose grip
3) Don't be afraid to use the brakes for sharper turns. Sometimes you may find a turn too sharp for even side attacks, if you tap the brakes a bit, you should be able to take a sharper turn. That beats crashing into a wall and having to accel from scratch anyway
I wish all this could help in GX though...
@@NessBrawl64 Thanks for the tips. One thing that's helped get around REALLY sharp turns in GX is pressing and holding both L and R at the same time, and then releasing the button you don't need (ex/for a sharp left turn release R). If you can learn to master that in GX, it helps to make sharp turns without losing too much speed.
@@ShadowSora8491 I read about the advanced techniques before, this would be one way to do a quick turn, right? I know how to do that, but I don't use it that often. It really helped in Ch. 3 though.
And like in X, I did better in GX after I placed a bit less on Max Speed (I can actually turn the car the way I want now), but the problem is it's easier to break grip in GX than it is in X, and less on Max Speed contributes to that happening sooner... On top of that, in Master the cars keep trying to block you from overtaking them (if not attacking you outright). This adds up way too fast.
I'm _slowly_ getting better, but I'm still losing a lot and I'm a bit inconsistent (I literally can't win on Big Blue Drift Highway on Master yet, for example). In X, it took me a few days to get all Master trophies after I finally found a good setting to play. In GX, I think I found a decent setting recently and _I'm still trying._ So, GX is definitely the harder game imo
Is canceling an energy boost with a dash pad and then energy boosting again a good idea?
Hopefully someone else can give a better answer, because I'm not completely sure how that works. If I recall, in F-Zero X, when you boost before hitting a dash pad, it instantly cuts off the first boost, but it also stops draining your energy. It seems to me that in this game, you gain additional speed by boosting before hitting a dash pad, but I'm not completely sure if there are better times to boost.

Hmm, I though this game was definitely said by players to be hard and challenging, yet you flawlessly placed 1st place in every race, played well enough to be efficient at just setting max speed.
The only thing I can assume that it isn't much different from other racing games, and general racing game knowledge somehow applies here too.
I didn't get first place on Sand Ocean, which is fairly hard to do with this vehicle. I would add that part of the reason this game is known for being difficult is related to story mode, which I would say is harder than any of the GPs.
@@EdDiMe17 I did those cups, but not with the Blue Falcon, and that's because of the higher difficulty. I did play the AX Cup with the Blue Falcon, though.

I have to say, that this game is pretty much a flawless masterpiece in pretty much all respects except for the music. Don't get me wrong, the music is fine, but the original and F-Zero X soundtracks are both some of the best music Nintendo has ever produced. It feels like the only memorable theme this one uses is the classic Mute City song.
