- Do you order the cheapest items on the menu or the most expensive? Business Insider visited Indian Accent, the only Indian restaurant to rank in the World's 100 Best Restaurants, to see what the fine dining experience is like on comparative budgets.

You're a true patriot my friend god bless you
In small towns and villages, it is perfectly fine to find a good meal which comes from the heart, and is cheap too!
Best😌
5000/- is my budget for the whole month 😂
Bro this is only for Special Occasions....like when u get a good job, this is the place where you take ur parents to celebrate
@@rameshb7985 that's your way of celebrating and enjoying maybe! Depends on individual and preferences!
@@rameshb7985 Mere parents Mere ghar me Income Tax ki Raid Bula lenge agar Unhone 8000 ka Bill Dekh liya ek meal ka
@@arpanabinaswar1811 😂😂

8000 for two people??? Itne me to me mere 8 dosto ko full birthday party du....n talli karke bheju Ghar ...they will praise me like a god for next 1 year
😂
Remember the start of the vid
WTF rs. 5000 for one meal? Insult to the word budget.
That's an to the word 'budget' as well as 'indian'. Food and restaurants in India are way cheaper
bloodbathy which part of "fine dining" you don't understand
Its in Rupees not Dollars
Advait Pillai that’s again if you go to a bad restaurant..
Just go to Indian accent it is an experience
Bigger question is did you actually pay the bills from your own pocket and then say, "That was in my budget (smile)" ???
That is about $110. I would never pay that much for so little food.
Not sure what you were trying to prove by converting to $ however after viewing a fine dining restaurant experience and then talking about quantity of food, I kind of understood how much you would actually pay for a meal.. :D
Agreed. 20 to 30 bucks per person can actually get you a great buffet/ dining exp in the Bay Area.
@@priyagurav8424 buffet is not fine dining though.... Plus no drinks in a buffet.
@@priya30081 Ya that I agree. No fine tuscany wines and all. But the buffets which I was talking about are fancy too.
But it had crab 😝😝
don't know about Indian Accent but that girl's accent was definitely out of my budget. Just putting it out there 😂
when did business insider become buzzfeed (facepalm)
Most people living in Big Cities would agree that spending 3-4k per person for apparently the Best Restaurant in the Country is a deal! Even in Barbecue Nation it costs around 3k for 2 and that is a buffet restaurant. Plus these guys had drinks which are often pretty expensive and are an add-on. Without drinks, for two people your bill will probably go to about 4-5k which you can't do regularly, but you can obviously do it once in a while.
Why the high-end restaurant was almost empty? I am sure you must have had daal roti at home after this fancy designer meal.
The girl overacted so much along with fake accent. That's in her budget
Maybe she lived abroad and recently shifted to India.
Why can't you stand a Indian person speaking English in native accent ?
Her accent doesn't sound fake by any standards. I've heard worse.
If you think that's fake accent, than you haven't seen (or heard) anything yet.
@@sagarchaudhary5260 you must be her ex lmao
Wow, just 3000 + 5000 for chakna 😂🤣 #FakeAccent 🖕
Ok whatever they are doing let them do it.
Indians hating each other in the comment section.
If you are an Indian then I m 💯 sure that most of my countrymen never pay 5000 for a single meal.
I always use coupons when I order food online..
she said it was ithaa-lian!!! right?
The food is in their budget because they got it for free... promotion exchange for free food.. and speaking about the quantity those were the left over of the previous guest before closing .
I dont know about Delhi but in Kolkata we get fine dining at 1000 to 2000 approx for 2 people
"Left over of the previous guest before closing" - what evidence do you have for saying that.
On a budget of 3000 I'd be giving a party to 5 of my friends......
Are you kiddin me. Total of 8000 for such little meal.. lame ...ill rather go in for a buffet for 1200 per head and have better food & variety than this ...
Kyle Broflovski ..so.. ?
Yes buffet is better!
Ravikant Vishwakarma appreciate it 👍
RM Lifestyle absolutely right
This restaurant is for super rich people
For them 8000 is nothing
It’s highly stupid for middle class people to rant and crib about it
U r not meant to watch dis video
My budget is RS 20 for 2 samosa with 10 RS masala chai..😂🤣🤣🤣
I still prefer Punjabi Dhabas over this hundred dollar crap!!
ohn yes chef said main course and i think that was some nonsense
yea man Dhabas have their own taste. I love dhaba food more
It's much better to eat street food which is fairly cheap and have huge portion size
Parvathy Vishnu there is something called as a tasting menu with 10-15 portions.
Grapes are sour
@@Debavi I don't need any of these foods
But it's mostly unhygienic.
You tell me, if you had crazy amounts of money to spare, wouldn't you go and have at least one meal here?
Most of my fellow Indians are only limited by Financial Constraints, not by our personal choice.
If peeps had money to spare, they'll boast about this all over Social media like fools.
Manish bhai, fake account se comment mat karo!
My budget is Rs 1
gani oneman eclairs kha le

As a chef I think the prices are quite okay and yes we prefer quality over quantity! Its an art, an experience, a feeling😁
Bon Appétit
Nah you're wrong dumb ass
Saral shabdo me logo nka Chutiya kaatna
Oh plz its obvious that you're not only paying for food .. its also the ambiance and experience which you'll get there... it was a great video
Indian Accent deserve every cent of your money you spent , Manish Mehrotra is freaking Legend. I don't consider him as chef , for me he's scientist or something 😂😂.
Well I would gladly pay that amount. It's actually cheaper than what I imagined...but then again I might be biased since I grew up in Europe and just come to India to visit family every now and then
The food looks soo yum!!😋 sure will visit one day..
When u advertise something, pls make sure that u don't get caught
It's more of like sponsored promotion of Indian accent
Itne Mai Mera pura saal ka Khana ata hai
I think it is impossible to compare until you taste both of it
I thought by reading the title that it was going to be regular business insider but a voiceover by an indian person
Worst thing about fine dining is the food portions...that little thing isnt gonna fill me up 😂
His budget for that food isn’t tat bad though... 3000 is like okish considering he is an expensive restaurant. I love how people are criticizing it saying it’s expensive , duh they already mentioned it’s fine dining.
You can find that Daulat ki Chat in Banaras where it originally came from at Rs. 25
It looked more like they were trying to advertise the hotel😂
Not gonna lie, they didn't really plan this whole, "Fine dining," experience well enough. First of all, their survey should have been more consistent or at least have revealed statistics if they didn't want the video to be too long. Secondly, they should have had three people who participated: one person who is on a very low and tight budget and who can get only the cheapest items off the menu, another person who is on an average budget, and another person who can afford the most expensive items off the menu. Lastly, they shouldn't have been so fake with their judgment.
P. S. I am not trying to hate on them, but I am just suggesting what they could have done to not receive that many negative comments.
Girls out there eating in a restaurant named Indian accent with a fake accent
It seems like expenses one was in my budget and non expensive one was not in my budget.
Me in 2020.
8000=
2 case beer 5000 ( ultra quality).
Chicken biryani from paradise.
Non vegstarters for friends veg starters for me.
Chakna.
Car petrol for a long ride.
Cigar for smokers.
Well and still some change left .
I love how everyone in the comment keep pointing at her accent, it seems to me its an insecurity thing and y'all are jealous of her accent. most of the Indians I know over here in the states they sound like her and I'm not talking bout the ones that are born and raised in the US, I'm talking bout people who move here when they are 12 or 14.
Is that how you get on the camera job at Business Insider use fake American Accent?
Fun Fact: her Accent failed after the ice cream
Fine dining 6 - 7 k ??? You sure she isn't talking about furniture?
That was quite reasonable for a famous restaurant
At the end it sounded like somebody put a gun beside their head and asked them to say it was in their budget :p
The whole meal twice will be starter for me
4:31 it’s better to have brownie and ice cream instead of that
I
The girl said her dessert was unique 🤣
Not even yummy 😅
She was jealous of his dessert 😂
ok u white
My meal would be lassi/lemonade ,Paneer tikka/Chilli Chicken,Paraatha, Naan with mix veg/Dosa/Idli/Uttapa with sambar, sizzling brownie with icecream/Jalebi/Gulab Jamun/Rasgulla/Gajar ka halva/moong Dal halva(all halva)
which planet these guys are from!!
The food there is amazing it's 10,000 for the chef's tasting menu
Wait a minute ! U guys have budget for eating ?
These hosts must have seen a show
Why are people complaining so much about price. Obviously this is a place you don't go to everyday, and its actually cheap considering quality of food
Man indians with American accents ... really pushes my buttons ....
They are opening in my country for limited time. Since I really really like Indian food I was kinda intrigued but after seeing this video I’m mot sure about it. The food doesn’t look like the Indian food I know plus the whole meal look like a starter 🤣
This restaurant standards doesnt even look closer to fine dinning experience. i belong to the industry and this looks like simple speciality restaurant rather fine dinning
Was that 500rupee note on which her dessert was served...?
That lady didn't do justice to the restaurant. She had more of a 'British accent'
Wow, 5000.
I always feel that there should be value for money and big hotels like that does not provide it. I mean if I take my family of four for the best food possible in the city. It will still be below 5k.
She does realise that salut means hello
@ levi ackerman, you are wrong. “Salute” in Italian means “to your health” myitalianlessons.co.uk/how-to-say-cheers-in-italian/
Wow! In Rs.5000/- I get whole month's meal with much bigger portions......this will not even fill my tummy for breakfast.
Been to Indian Accent in NYC. The Mudra Punch is fucking spectacular. But 3k per person is no bargain
One of the class of the guest preferred and afford this types of expensive foods normal class buys whole months stuff in this amount 😀😀😀
You can go to BBQ nation and have unlimited meal under 1000
Best dessert is *Jalebi & Rabdi* or our beloved *Double Choco Cornetto*
Well guys it isn't ' fake accent ' . She might be born and raised in a different country .
What did you eat? When did you leave?
People calling her accent fake low key want an accent too
3000 rs per person??? I live in australia and that's super expensive even here wtf
Budget, left the chat!
Fine dine restaurant are almost the same all over the world when it comes to price of food menu alcohol varies from country to country due to import and taxation
Business insider India ..... Is more rich than business insider itself..
They better shit gold after that 8000 rs meal.
Hahahaha
😂😂
What a joke !!! Sure this is with in the budget just like our government.. big numbers but nothing in the people’s plate ..
Surprised to see a food video with out chicken tikka masala..
I thought budget = Rs. 150 or Rs. 700 max per person
Indian food is much more than just butter chicken and tikkas.
Isn't it supposed to be a 7 course meal?
Yeah I was thinking to invest a million dollar in snapchats stock yeah but I saw indian accent on the way and now I'm labour at snapchat office
Reading through the comments, most of the people here doesn't really understand the concept of fine dining
my life has always been a lie. it seems till date i never have fine dining.
Nothing beats Dhaba.
Lots of food at a real affordable price.
Fine dining is one of the crappy things picked up from the west
Title is mileading. This is just promo ad for hotel
Wow ye accent host ka apna hai ya yeh bhi churaya hai??
It's really less quantity I think...
3000 RS for one person... I litrerally spend only 20 RS for eating a normal dish 💀
That fake accent...😒...its so annoying...!
3000 only for beer and small taco with icecream dude WTF. In my Budget 150 for beer, 60 for taco, and 100 for icecream. total 310/-
that surely ain't my budget
i would have been disappointed a little. But still i would grab something from outside later :)
3 thousand and 5 thousand without tax
For that price i think I'll choose steak
WOW! Is that all they got for 3000 and 5000 rupees. Fine dining restaurants are meant to have at least 3 courses of main course. Plus, there was nothing special on the menu. Gaggan Anand( He is Indian) serves an incredible 18 course meal for around 9000 rupees.
I bet they both were still hungry after meal...
I can eat decently for 2 months at the cost of this one meal
Breakfast :- 1 cutting chai + sutta + 20/- nashta
This Restaurant was inspired by Apple
Indian Chick with thick English accent is awkward as Hell..
Why did she use fake accent, it Doesn't look cool but surely look a fool while taking. Otherwise the video was good. Please don't use fake accent
I don't think it was fake... It seemed quite authentic..
It was fake
