    I was an 8621 from 1997- to 2000; and we learned a lot about mapping and imagery, as well as how seismic, magnetic, and heating sensing works. We learned about geospatial programs and even air-to-ground delivered sensors. To be honest it was in fact a very cool job!

      Dude I'm the one who made this video and also conducted the interview with that Capt. I honestly don't know what his problem was but he just could not stop blinking. I didn't want to use his interview in the video but my boss overruled me.

      @@al11220 I know I’m late but as the saying goes, “all Marines are riflemen first, then their MOS second.” Or, maybe if that isn’t perfectly accurate, “Marines are marines first-then their specialty.”
      How accurate is either of those assessments? Can you expect really good combat training from MCT if you don’t have an infantry MOS?

    I see they do not have MOS 0221 anymore and looks like the 0211 is a mixture of the old 0221. You had to be a corporal in order to apply for the MOS and the coolest thing was go into the HRP "high risk personnel program"

      Saadiq Thompson Intelligence is one of the rare MOS that they recruit you. If you don't get into Intel, I recommend communications, then you can apply for a unilateral movement to Intel later on. Your ASVAB is how you get placed. When someone tells you they did really well on the ASVAB, you would know if you did REALLY well because you would be in the intelligence department. My school helped me get into that department and I hope you eventually get there, or maybe you're already there. I wish you well future devil dog. Semper Fidelis...

      I got an asvab score of 87, Im hoping I can use it to go into CIA or make a career out of. My last question is how long is the MOS school I am married with a 7 week old son and and wondering if it's long enough for them to come with me

      Saadiq Thompson That depends on if you are sent straight to Quantico, or 29 Palms. And there is one other place, but it's classified and I can't say it here. God bless you, your child and your entire family.

      Saadiq Thompson To be honest, you need to bring that score up if you want to make it in INTEL. But if you're looking to go to the CIA, then go through being a grunt, and once you make Recon Marine, you're pretty much guaranteed CIA.

      I know right? It's a bit confusing at first but the reason those two MOS's are discussed in the video is because the CO of marine Intel school is also responsible for the overview of a avionics school in NAS Oceana and the music school at JEB Fort Story, VA

      Sculpin Go to a recruiting office or contact an OSO. Everyone who enlists goes through DEP, it's how you wait to ship. You'll do PT usually twice a week and a monthly Poolee function while you wait for you ship date. You have to do your package with your recruiters and go through MEPs first though.

      All branches of the service have full time bands. To get accepted to enlist as a bandsman you must submit an audition audio file or tape, and you must be interviewed by a band member from the branch of service you are applying for. Many people enlisting for the band have college degrees in music. You essentially need to be a professional musician to be able to enlist for the band MOS.
