Tom's Modelautos store has one of the worst customer services I have ever experienced. Despite pre ordering a few sets of cars from them with the same release date, they clearly were taking pre orders for items that they could never fulfill. Tried to get me to pay for half of 1 set in my order to be delivered and expected me to pay a second delivery charge for the rest which they had no idea when would be in stock! 2 halves of the same set supplied at different times and 2 lots of delivery costs! After bringing up this issue with them they were rude and offered no apology. Will never order from them again. Nice video to watch anyway Mr Dude, thanks for taking the time to upload 👍
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Tom's. I never had that experience myself. It's true that because of covid they don't know when a item will arrive in store. I ordered a couple of items that supposed to be there in December but now it says January but it's also possible that it's going to be February or even March. When a item(s) arrives you get a email with a link so you can pay. If you pay they will send the item immediately. If another item arrives the next day they will follow the same process and yes, you must pay shipping costs again. I always wait as long as possible till more items arrive and then I pay. That's how you avoid to much shipping costs. I think they reserved the product max 4 weeks. After that you get a email, hey you did not pay! In a couple of days the items go back to the store. Thanks for watching my channel.. Have a good weekend 🙏🙂🍀
@@DiecastDudeofficial thank you Mr Dude. You should not be apologising for the Tom's store because they should have apologised themselves. This incident was well before covid so they don't have that as an excuse. If someone pre orders a set of 5 hot wheels cars and is expected to pay multiple delivery costs when only part of the set arrives 'in stock' because it suits the store, that is totally unreasonable and sometimes unaffordable. The set of 5 cars come from the factory in the same box, so how can it be that some are available and some are not? It must be because Tom's is taking unlimited pre orders without knowing if they can fulfill them. I apologise to you Mr Dude for my negative comments beneath your video, but I think other people should be aware when a shop has utterly terrible service and a bad attitude.
