    Thank you for reviewing these! I'm very surprised how few reviews are out there for the SP8, even 5 years after you posted this video. Did you end up using them for long?

      @ChillieFart Před rokem +1

      No mate. I sent them back because of the issues mentioned in the video. Good length for people blessed with big calves.

    Thanks for review! I'm thinking now which size to choose. I would be grateful if you could measure the circumferences of your shin where shin gards are tightened up. This information can help to understand how chunki legs should be for XL size.

      Hi Alien,
      I have sent those back so I can't measure. My calves are 34cms and they had about a finger gap on each side. I am guessing if you have 40cms+ calves you should alright.

    Great review, I have the same build. I will do some more research on shinguards. Perhaps the ones you had + knee protectors are the way to go for me as well. Also very long limbs but skinny as well. 190cm and only 78kg atm.

    Great review. Do you have thoughts on the SP 7? They have the detachable foot guard portion.

    • @ChillieFart
      @ChillieFart Před 5 lety

      I haven't used the SP7 so I cannot comment on them. I don't think detachable foot guard is useful. If you are sparring, having padding on the foot which has many small bones can lessen the pain of clashing an elbow or hard head. Plus more moving parts means more alignment issues.

    If you got a smaller size do you think they would have worked for you?

    What shin guards are you using nowadays? I also have very long skinny legs and calves

  • @wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667

    Hey some Top Kings or some Twins Sgl10s. If you have skinny 🐔 🦵's like I do either of those will fit perfectly. I know because i have skinny little chicken legs and I own both pairs. They both fit me perfectly.

  • @wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667

    It looks like the foot protection will tear away from the shin pad with serious use.
    Has anyone used these and had that happen?

    Thanks for review. I have just bought the sp3 pair and mine fit like yours do on you. Did people say that they were too small? What problems did you have them

    Thanks for the review, i was thinking about purchasing a pair for myself.
    Do you have the possibility to get your hands on a pair in large and check them out? Maybe they'll fit better

    • @ChillieFart
      @ChillieFart Před 6 lety

      The problem with large is it won't cover my upper shin and those clashes are never fun. I am wearing the SP3 in large currently and they are too short so it would be the same for the SP8.

      yea, i saw that in the video but i thought that it might work out because of the different shape

      @@ChillieFart yeah I say you should of tried a L, its a completely different shape, sp3 are known to be practically the shortest model out.

    I’m 1.76 I bought M size yokkao, haven’t arrived yet, you think they’ll fit well ?

    • @ChillieFart
      @ChillieFart Před 4 lety

      Hey man. It's hard to say. Different brands have different sizes. When I was in Bangkok training at Yakkoa, I bought a shirt and shorts as a souvenir in L and they were small for me. I wear M for everything else. They seem to run on the small end. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Let me know how it goes. If it's comfortable and you can move well then it's good.

    • @ChillieFart
      @ChillieFart Před 4 lety +1

      I haven't worn them so I can't comment. Just got to try them on. If they cover your whole shine and are a snug fit than you're good to go.
