The stone mat is very fragile. If it cracks, theres dust everywhere and you cant fix them. I've used them before but always gone back to cloth mats for the bathroom that I can just throw in the wash afterwards.

I’ve hd it for a year now and all good. It absorbs water but also is very porous to water evaporates very quickly. On maintenance, when you feel that it’s losing absorbency, you need to sand the top of it outside and it’s all good again
I doubt this gets mentioned at all nowadays, but the toilet bowl water can be used in emergency situations where you lose access to running water. These products like the bowl item ruin that.
That mat actually gets mold if it gets wet frequently, and gets mold very commonly under it. I recommend you still check on it every week or so to see if mold grows so you can deal with it quickly.

To everyone saying their algae matt gets moldy over time...yall need to do two things, glue some silicon feet on it so it can level better onto the ground, it gains a couple of millimiters of clearance from the floor and become more slip resistant and yall also need to turn in a fan or something after the shower because if the bathroom is not well ventilated it'll get super moisty and it'll be a bacteria/fungi paradise. Do both of these things and yall wont need to worry about it anymore.
