To help me bust through this collection, I used a handful of 12x12 paper busting templates from Jesscrafts.

I have started donating cards to "Cards for Kindness" and this type of video is especially inspiring because my goal is to donate at least 100 cards/yr. AND I have so much stash that needs to be used up!

I love this and would love to see you do this with other Echo Park Packs! I make and sell tons of cards each year at craft shows - around 700-800, so I am always looking for efficient ways to use up these paper packs. I really enjoy these types of videos where you explain your thought processes in planning (use of mats, colors, etc.) I also like seeing how you can use up an entire paper pad to make cards this way. I'm in my second year of cardmaking using my Silhouette and patterned papers, so I always appreciate tips and tricks. The efficiency tips help me easily create cards for donation. I do on occasion. I tend to prefer the thinner foam tape, though. But usually I have so many cardstock scraps out on my desk that I choose to use those up to add dimension.
I like the idea of maximizing patterned paper usage, rather than max cards. If you are trying to max out the PP, there isn't a ton of scraps left that I, for one, don't often know what to do with the scraps. I can maximize cards by doing multiple sets of maximizing PP.

I enjoy having a plan. I detest having a bunch of scraps. I love Jess, she never has scraps! My best friend and I used 2 sheetloads yesterday for 6 x 6 to make 14 cards then used the scraps to make 5 or 6 more cards. I waffle between quantity and efficiency. But I think "no waste" is so ingrained in me that I end up trying to use every little bit and forget I'm trying to get it done quickly! Thanks, Beth, great job!
I get stuck in that mindset of using every last bit too. And sometimes the more cards you create with those scraps, the more scraps you create!🥴
Beth that was GREAT planning all the cards came out great. I don't buy pads with those stickers or cut aparts I don't like fussy cutting and get overwhelmed having to use it all. I do what you did make sentiments or just let the paper do the work. I enjoy the planning process and would enjoy watching whatever you decide.🤗

Your preparation planning must have helped a lot. Many collections from one company have similar sizes of cut aparts so something like this could be helpful. Just knowing which of Jess's templates you used will help with the brand you used even if I don't have the same collection.
You are right about similar collections from the same company! What I'd like to do is come up with templates/plans for the different types of collections and pads. Maybe this can help us all work through our stash better.

I enjoy using up my supplies, so I’m always in the lookout for other templates for mass makes. Using a whole kit or a a 1/2 or full a 6x6 pad would be another useful took. Thanks for always sharing great ideas!
I’m working on a template for a 6x6 right now!
While I don’t necessarily love the planning, I find satisfaction in it. Especially because I make 5x7 cards and they take up more real estate, so the planning is a must to make sure I have enough printed paper or cardstock or whatever to make the number of cards I need - especially if I’m sizing up from a template for smaller cards. And tho my goal is usually to make the 8-20 cards that I need then (as opposed to smashing the whole paper pack- I wish) I do like to pair things up to know that whatever remains will go well together and won’t be say three random orphan papers that don’t really go together that well. I’ll match things up so those three remaining papers work pretty well together and that the ones I’m using work well together for my purposes so that the whole paper pack will be useful and when I come back to it it will be easy to use those papers.
That’s smart to not only think about the papers you’re using for your current cards, but what you’re leaving in the collection for next time!

Great smash, Beth! 50 cards from 1 Kit is fantastic! I’ve been prepping my CFC donation since December, and somehow I still feel like I’ve up against the wire! Go figure! The kids will love these! Such a cute collection and adorable set of cards! Love the pre-planning part! I go through the same motions each time I smash a kit or pad, so I’m open to either mindset! TFS!!!

Great tips on planning out how to use one of these collections. I will definitely give this a try! Would love to see more of this type. Not so much the maximum amount of cards but the using up of an entire collection efficiently.

I'm so impressed and inspired by how you used up this kit. I have 3 lifetimes of paper that I need to start using. Including (like you) paper collections from Echo Park that I've bought in their warehouse or Mystery Boxes. I dont have children, so I've been stuck on how 2 use up these juvenile collections. I have been mostly making cards for nursing homes and my brothers hospice ministry. So I need 2 learn more about this childrens organization you donate cards to. Great video! I’ve always struggled with making cards from some of these card kits because the patterns can be rather large. These turned out great! And you’ve given me a resource of how to use up my paper pads, more efficiently!

I think it is a great idea. Using more current paper packs that some of may have in our stash or able to purchase would be great.
Yes, I plan to do this for a variety of pads/packs. Hopefully even if you don’t have the exact one, you have a similar style (as in number of cut-a-part pages, border strip pages, etc).
Loved hearing your thought process for planning. Your cards turned out great!! Kudos for using up the paper pack. There’s always a few sheets in each pack that I struggle with-usually the really busy patterns.

This is great! Planning and how you carried it out. Sicker sheets can be for me hard to use. Mainly the bigger stickers that spell out words. Always feel like they are more scrapbooking stickers.

I am a mixed media card maker, so I enjoy making one individual card at a time, although I did a mass make last year of mixed media Christmas cards but I made them in stages.
