    *NOTE : I will now focus more on phantom of yubel content! i cant wait! :)
    The version with only legacy stuff in it is already a lot of fun to use but with phantom it gets crazy! .. a lot more crazy!
    ''The normal Yubel combo'' i mentioned a few times in the videos is :
    Throne -> Samsara -> Samsara to Spirit -> Spirit to set nightmare pain -> Nightmare pain pop spirit to add squirmer -> Activate both spirit and fieldspell so that you have squirmer in hand and both OG yubels on the field.
    i decided to skip that because i already did that 100 times in other videos and i wanted to save time but just in case a new yubel player is here, i wanted to atleast include it here :)

  • @babrad
    @babrad Před 3 měsíci +2

    "If I can at least help 2 or 3 people with that..." is also the reason I write those walls of text. I have nothing to add to the Gryphon lines but I want to emphasize how important I find some minor interactions:
    - NEVER FORGET PAIN DAMAGE REFLECTION AND MANDATORY ATTACKS ON YUBELS.
    - Muck has a protection effect (not even OPT) for your fiends like Gryphon, so if you can leave a Fiend in defense position you can save your board (Yubel/Lotus/Gryphon/Muck are Fiends) from Lightning Storm. Since Paidra stops battle damage anyway, I typically place Yubel in defense for that added bonus (or summon Terror in defense with Lotus)
    - Yama is invaluable in the GY for the opponent's turn. You get the flexibility to reverse OTK if Pain sticks to the board, get a free pop with the used Varudras by destroying it with the optional part after you revive a Fiend, un-bench your single OG Yubel and the list goes on.
    - TTTalent is in my opinion the best boardbreaker against the deck, that's why I hate ending on Apollo for 3. Giving your opponent 2 negates will stop both Promethean and Rage so you need to waste a handtrap on it, then the opponent can turn it into a free Zealantis and push for lethal.
    That's why instead of making Apollousa (x3) I prefer to sequence it like this (Apollousa endboard v.3 if you will):
    - Yama + Yubel + Gates on the board with Sharvara + Squirmer in hand
    - Sharvara pop Yubel, summon itself + Terror
    - Terror + Sharvara into Rage, Rage + Yama into Apo (x2)
    - Gates discard and revive then go from there
    Here if I want to use Yama in GY, I revive Spirit then Squirmer summons itself and pops Spirit to trigger Yama while getting Yubel on the field which is also a lvl10. If I go for a more protected endboard (anti-super poly + lightning storm) I discard Squirmer itself, then revive Spirit and with Squirmer I revive Yubel for Varudras (+ Rage via Chamber from the GY).

    • @TrinityYGO
      @TrinityYGO  Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks for your input, as always! And I agree with pretty much everything :)
      - And yes in theory the line you mentioned is better, the apo line shown in the video is only worth it if you really fear nibiru because it doesn’t give the opponent a good window to nib you.
      If you use sharvara, the opponent will most likely nib you as fast as they can and then it hurts a little bit more.
      That’s why I mentioned a few times in the video that it really depends on the match up/what you predict your opponent has in his hand if you want to go to the different lines.

    • @babrad
      @babrad Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@TrinityYGO It depends on your playstyle. I would prefer to get Nibbed instead of letting them have the extra card in hand and pivot from Apollo into Gryphon (quick line: nib on sharvara, revive spirit with gates, ss squirmer pop spirit, yama revive sharvara spirit revive yubel, token + sharv into rage, rage + squirmer into anguish, anguish + nib into muck, muck revive anguish + yubel into Gryphon, squirmer revive yubel, end phase get lotus) like you have showed in a previous video.
      My biased play (2nd Yama, Escape instead of Chamber) especially when I know I wont be eaten alive by a Super Poly is to end on Rage + Escape + Varudras with the 2nd Yama in GY. I like this versus Snakes particularly because they get absolutely no value from TTTalent take, and you hit them exactly where it hurts (removing SnAsh + Oak without giving them a chance for Prom to revive them and get into Flam) while setting them up for reverse OTK due to Pain.
      I'm now experimenting with popping Muck and reviving it with Yama to get 2 materials worth of link (bypasses the "cant be used as link material on Muck) then going for Promethean but not having anything except Knightmare Phoenix hurts quite a bit.
      Finally about the Phantom/Fiendsmith build, I gave up both Promethean and Ty-phon, the ED space is too tight for all of them and I really missed a payoff on the followup. Can't wait to see your build!!!

    Another great video! I'm looking forward to bringing Yubel to locals soon!
    I was messing around and found a line to get Gryphon along with Varudras and Rage with Yama still in grave off Throne and Gates. Instead of using Muckraker that early, just use Gates to summon Spirit, pop it with Sharvara, then summon Grave Squirmer. Link Sharvara and Squirmer into Rage, Squirmer revive Spirit, make Varudras, then reborn Yama with Muckraker to make Gryphon.

    • @babrad
      @babrad Před 3 měsíci

      Hot take but I would suggest you play the deck as if Phantom doesn't exist. This is the icing on the cake, and if you learn how to get the full value of the deck this way, you can have Phantom as insurance instead of trying to min-max Phantom then burn it for winmore combo lines and needlessly hurt your follow-up.
      This was why I initially didn't like Crossheep plays, but then after revisiting them, I shifted to using it as a recovery tool instead of an extender. However with Fiendsmiths, which gives us Beatrice for Yubel access in every Unchained/Fiendsmith combo line, the extra deck space has become extremely tight.

      @Luna-Starfrost Před 3 měsíci

      @@babrad Playing it as if it doesn't exist, once it's out, would just be willingly cripple yourself for absolutely no reason. That's like playing Branded without Branded Fusion or "using it as your last resort", really. The whole Fiendsmith thing I'm not a fan of at all and I don't play that either. I don't play to win more but with decreased chances, I play to actually win in the most optimal way possible.

    • @babrad
      @babrad Před 3 měsíci

      @@Luna-Starfrost I meant burning Phantom needlessly. For example in the featured lines here, as soon as you make Yama and Nib is live (while you have Squirmer in hand + Sharvara in hand + Gates revive), you can safely spin back Terror + Beckoning for Phantom and perform the regular combo instead of going for a win-more board.
      The difference in Phantom and BraFu is that the latter is a 1 card full combo (optimal starter) while Phantom is an end board piece that I have seen time and time again getting used up needlessly for an Apo or something, while with the same investment you could have just got Lotus back and even keep Yama in GY.

    • @babrad
      @babrad Před 3 měsíci

      @@Luna-Starfrost to be less confusing, think of the opponent using Nib on Yama when you can go for Apo.
      From that point, you can utilize the Nib token + Squirmer in GY or Gates revive, make Sheep, make Phantom, get a link material then do your Apo regardless. That play could also be an Accesscode using it offensively.
      But instead of that, every 1/2 card wombo combo video will show you to end on literally everything (Apo Varudras Rage Escape Phantom Caesar) by playing into every handtrap in existence and even using up to 3 Phantoms (and Yama in gy) all during turn 1 leaving you with no followup when it isn't even needed to go that hard.
      Edit: this is why I believe this channel offers objectively the best content for Yubel, since it takes into account the opponent's potential interaction and almost simulates a "competitive experience".

    • @Luna-Starfrost
      @Luna-Starfrost Před 3 měsíci

      @@babrad I legit do not care about what other channels say if it goes against the strategy that works for me.
      I tried out many things, like tons of them. And no channel that is run by an at least decent player will tell you to play without Phantom, one of the archetypes strongest cards, what are you on about lol
      With Phantom I even get card advantage out of Nibiru, as using Phantom against Nibiru results directly in at minimum another Phantom. If a Yugituber tells me to not use that or even recommends it, then he's probably as much to be taken serious like Teamsamuraifucktheworld.
      Apollousa I never ran in the first place in any variant of it cause it takes Extra Deck space that can be used much better and finds almost zero use in Yubel centered decks. In fiendsmith, you don't focus on Yubel but on everything else, so I'm not counting that.
