If CZcams delete your channel how can you get it back

@@Brox_short4.0Why, what did you do?
The reality of being a full-time CZcamsr is realizing it's not YOUTube it's THEMTube...
Nice one
That's a real quick way to burn out and quit. I think you need to do both.
If by them tube you mean the audience then yes.
Well said 😃👍
And here I was thinking it's actually called METube :P lol kidding
More quantity means more practice. More practice means more skill. More skill means better quality. 👍
Absolutely
You've been on youtube since the golden age? That's rare
Quality is actually determined by the viewers….not us.
Very true
I posted 3 shorts a day for a year and it helped me tremendously. But I'm slowing down a bit now.
Sustaining that can be a challenge.
It is cool your Christian chan el do so well bro!
I saw your/this thumbnail with the title and thought to myself... was that not what I asked him 🤣.
Anyway, thanks for the mention and especially the advice you gave (not just on reddit) in this video. Like I sad before... you a LEGEND!
PS: you said my name correct the first time 😉
Cheers!
Glad you came by and saw this! 👊🤓
@@NickNimmin This made my day. I immediately told my gf I've got some youtube news etc and she got excited/curious. since I have only been doing youtube for over 1 year now and she is my biggest supporter... stuff like this is quite special 🙂 whatever the time is by you at the moment, have a awesome weekend dude 👆👉
My friend was doing 1k-3k a video until his 30th or so one that reached 60k - skyrocketing the channel. Your biggest W is just around the corner
🤓👊
This is sooo true.
Listen to your audience. Analytics and polling your community is so powerful. I only make videos now that I know they want to see more of. Selfish content is a waste of time. Nick, thank you so much. Learned so much from you !!
Thanks, glad you’re enjoying the content Vic!
I believe at first you need to record and edit as much as possible because it's a learning experience. As long as you are improving with each video. Do the best you can with the skills you have with consistency. I got to where I was working on 3 videos a week because I knew I needed the experience. Now I have one video a week. I know I have the skills and can work on improving skills. And it allows me to have a break. [Like this week I'm spending more time on my home things and less time on CZcams]. You always share awesome information
Here’s the thing. Most of us work full time jobs, some of us have a family like me. I have a editor which saves me time but I also edit my videos. It takes up so much of my time and yet the videos lately are only hitting 20-30 views even if my videos are coming out better than my competition. Growing from a small channel is made very difficult.
Growing in general is difficult. If it was easy everyone would have huge channels.
@@NickNimmin absolutely true
Keep going bro, something just clicked and I'm now getting 1-2k views per video
So relatable on so many levels. What I guess is keeping me going is publishing content that I actually enjoy making, regardless of views.
I say this because sometimes the videos that I put little work in, outperforms the ones I go all in on. It's a sad reality but because I'm invested on the content, it helps cushion the blow a lot.
As long as you’re enjoying what you’re doing. And you’re right, it does seem to be random which video does well. I literally did 0 editing on one of my videos on TikTok and it’s at almost 800k views. The ones I edited barely touch 1k. It probably is more based on the topic you cover.
Starting off as a new CZcamsr who is doing CZcams shorts, I recommend to do quantity (a few hundred shorts) and then fine tune and do quality.
I started emphasizing on both. I started trying to publish 2-3 videos in a week and filling the gap with shorts. Then, I felt it like I was overdoing it. Watched videos and started emphasizing on quality. I started uploading one video, filling gap with shorts & sometimes posts. My videos rank on the page. When I search on youtube, they come on 3-4 number so, I consider I am doing SEO good still getting not views that I want. I think I can improve quality, pay attention on quantity and views tell what my audience think. However, it's so confusing sometimes. Thank you so much. Helpful content as always.
Thanks for the tips .. I'm just starting out with the aim to share my music, been putting in consistently with making music and I've been seeing improvements with quality, now time to start consistently sharing 😊
Both! Until I started posting nearly daily I didn’t grow. If you wait til each video is “perfect” you will never post anything
This definitely resonates with me - We both do this between our 40 hour work weeks and it can be crazy to pump out 2 videos per week and 1 short per week and I try our best to edit our videos for retention.
But I spend so much time with my editing by adding sound effects, text, graphics, and stuff on screen trying to change the visual every few seconds just to make a restaurant/hotel review “entertaining” - It adds so many hours to my editing time 😮
And last week we got multiple comments saying we were using too many sound effects and too many on screen graphics and the feedback was that we should dial it down because people want us reviewing the food/restaurant and they mentioned that they watch us for us and not us “embellishing” the content with sound effects and on screen graphics 😮 (but we are always told by a lot of growth gurus out there that in order to grow a channel you have to edit for retention and you have to keep everything fast paced and exciting enough for CZcams so that viewers don’t click away)
So this week I did not add as many sound effects, I didn’t load it with text on screen, and didn’t try to “edit for retention” and I don’t know how it’s going to perform this Saturday but I am listening to the feedback and trying something new. (And I saved hours on editing time so this week has been less stressful)
I hope that we find success with the video this week though, and inside I am screaming that I am releasing and putting out a video without on screen text, sound effects, or graphics to keep it “entertaining for CZcams”. But if people want to watch us for us (and our 8,000+ watch hours before even hitting our first 1,000 - we are 25 away) is any indication that people want less “flair” with the editing, then I am willing to try it and see what happens.
-Paul
It's great that you got that feedback early on. Now you'll save a ton of time.
So how did your video go?
Finally! A decent video with good advice and not too long. (As a content creator I’ve been overwhelmed by conflicting advice on multiple channels that I lost my joy.) This gave me direction. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Man, this is why I'm glad I cover more than one thing on my channel. I know you're supposed to niche down, but covering a few different things means I'm making plenty of videos, of at least decent quality, and I don't just "post to post" as it were. I also get a backlog, so I can keep the 3-a-week schedule. I'm currently sitting on 7 weeks of uploaded content.
"That extra 4 hours that most people won't notice" - that's me! I tweak things nobody will ever notice, because I enjoy it and know it's that much better.
Hope everyone will succeed. Stay strong brothers
You made a good point, I never thought of. The viewers decide the quality, not us. Very true when you look at it. You could produce a very high quality video with the best editing, equipment, etc but if hardly anyone watches it, it doesn't matter. Im glad I heard this. It puts a new perspective on things. Thanks.
🤓👊
Not that I want to see your videos tank, but you sharing this made me feel a little better for being a noob! Nick you always bring it and thank you so much! Your channel reviews are some of the best I've seen, so thorough!
Everybody's a noob when they first start something though.
Thank you, Nick, this was really helpful and made kind of "klick" in my head! Maybe I have to redefine, what quality means. And the other point was very interesting too. As a matter of fact, my best performing videos were pretty easy for me to make. I think, if it feels very difficult to make a certain video, that may be a sign, that already the idea is bad, or far-fetched etc...
0 likes in 1 second? let me fix that

Thanks!
😻
When starting out: I’d focus on high value low effort content.
Then when you get monetised, put more effort into your content.
If you’re making $0 revenue, you have to make a living elsewhere so it’s not feasible to spend a lot of time creating.
You also learn more if you focus on quantity, not quality.
I believe that at first quantity should matter over quality, but as you begin to get a large amount of content uploaded improving each video, even if it’s the smallest mini detail helps to improve the channel success and the end goal of better performance. I believe it also depends on the channel and the niche, for instance, I have an art journey channel and I use multimedia type of art. I want to keep my channel free form and loose, that way if I want to have a random upload Vlog day that’s not super edited it’s not outside the norm. Love the content Nimmin
🤓 ✋
I think the ideal situation is both. What I'm working on now is getting out easier to make videos first. Then, while those videos are scheduled out and getting published, I'm working on the harder videos that require more effort. The big boys like MrBeast can tell you all day that it's better to spend more time and effort on one video, but everyone knows that for most people that doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna blow up. So at least with quantity you get practice and more opportunities to advertise whatever you have going on that you wanna make money with.
Nick , I have a question is video duration really important, sometimes I have a high Click through Rate and high views , when the algorithm tries to find my audience the click through rate goes down, views go up but duration goes down
That's normal. As you have more people interact with your content it's normal for the numbers to drop.
Nick how can I prevent CZcams from promoting my videos to the audience that doesn't match my content from watching my videos?
I actually have that problem also
@@JarmainPatrick i have tried that too
Unlisting them will keep CZcams from showing them to people.
@@NickNimmin I think he's asking how to help youtube understand what audience he wants...At least thats what I wanna know...Cause for my channel at least, it appears that putting gaming or let' s play or facecam commentary or stuff like that its still making it pretty difficult...
Is the Category you have chosen for your video accurate for the content? If so, maybe the algorithm is picking up something from your title or description. I don't know. I'm just tossing ideas out here 😬🫣
Absolutly Nick - I'm building a following for my channel because they (the viewers) like regular content. Its become part of the audiences viewing schedule. Having a few videos bomb is a fact of life. I've had plenty - but with a good back catalogue of videos the impact is offset. Almost 60% of my views come from evergreen content 6 months old. Keep on making great videos Nick - Paul
Last year I stopped making videos due to real life problems and could not find the time to make them, but I had no idea they would delete watch time hours for doing this, my progress so far. So, now even though I still can't upload anything I decided it would be best to try and force myself to do it, or else I know the consequences....
So anyway, just wanted to tell you that watching your video always gives me good vibes, which are very important in those difficult moments when it feels like I just can't continue, so thanks Nick!!
I have a question that I hope you can answer. If I uploaded a video on my channel a year ago, for example, and it did not receive any views, can I delete it, edit it, and re-upload it again?
Technically yes and the re-editing part is what makes that okay. If you upload the same video you can run into issues but if you make a new version and upload it it’s okay.
This was really close to my question I was going to ask in the livestream Saturday
Good timing.
You helped me a. TON during my start to CZcams! I appreciate ya!
Glad I could help!
A good answer :) I myself try to balance between both and have several easy videos to make. where I only need to spend a short time on them before publishing. Because then I have more time to more demanding videos. Or if I need to take a break , or am out filming my upload day I also have some Videos already uploaded on CZcams ready to publish
Love this! Consistency is hard with my job kids and obligations but I’m trying to keep a weekly schedule and holding myself accountable
Thank you for this information man!
There's a lot of good information here, and it's coming from a perspective of trying to help as many people broadly. For me, it helped to realize that not every video is going to be a top of the line banger that lives on perpetually through recommendations. The vast majority of videos on youtube have a finite lifecycle, and if you think about it like that, it can help to inform how you use the features on youtube to interact with your audience.
For example, it takes me about 30-45 minutes of editing per 1 minute of delivered video. This is true across long form, shorts, and doesn't factor in packaging time. Using that information, I divide my availbale content creator time into different segments based on exactly what I am producing. In an hour, I can bang out a series of 5-6 shorts, which I can schedule over a couple of weeks. While those are scheduled out, I can work on the next long form video (or videos working in batches), and I can even develop topics for live streaming which only take a little effort up front plus the live time. In between, I can use the community posts to reach people from different angles. This workflow/mindset kept me what I consider consistent and consistently growing over the past 3ish years. That said, there's times where extra effort is needed for those banger videos, and in those cases, it's worth taking that extra time to give something a little extra polish. People do value that too.
Thanks for sharing your experience Jerry! Yeah, it's a balancing game and sometimes all of that extra stuff doesn't matter...and sometimes it does. :)
Some video's can sit for years.. then when one video resonates the others are there ready to serve the audience.
Thank you, Mr. Nimmin!
Thank you for this! We all have full-time jobs where we can't dedicate a lot of time, but we're trying to do more. It's a difficult juggling act.
hello nick, may i ask if I will be taxed if i'm demonetized. I'm worried because this 1042s document just mailed on me. But i haven't earned anything from youtube for almost a year now since 2023. What should i do? I'm really worried about it.
In most jurisdictions, if you don't get paid you don't get taxed - in other words you only get taxed on income you actually earn and receive.
@@NickNimmin Thank you so much man. I've been a fan since 2018 thanks for all the help man.
Nick, I have a question about how to export a video so that it lasts for example 10:00 minutes and it shows so in the thumbnail and actual video once you play it. Like the last video of MrBeast. I always try and get one second more or less
Just keep an eye on your timeline.
@@NickNimmin I render the video at 10:00:00 but then CZcams added one second on the thumbnail time mark 🤔

Hello from Marrakech Morocco 🇲🇦 ❤
I 💯percent struggle with this all the time
I have someone who is using my videos on their Facebook Channel. Is this beneficial to me for views? Or should I change the access of the videos so they cant access them? Re don't allow Embedding or Remixing
If they are sharing your link or embedding, then you get credit for the views. If they have ripped your content from CZcams and re-uploaded it, then no - they are effectively stealing at that point. You could issue a DMCA takedown notification to Facebook if that is something you wanted to do.
There isn't an effective way to stop determined people from stealing your content, only taking copyright action (DMCA) if they do.
@NickNimmin how can I tell if they are sharing/embedding it or have stolen it? How can they actually take it from CZcams and re-upload it?
If it's shared/embedded, you'll see the CZcams link in the post.
So good. So true. Usually the good idea will win over those little touches you were talking about. Thanks man!
I have 2 kids, and am an entrepreneur. I think you should do your best to make quality videos. But not quality like most people think about it. Its more about what you are talking about. You hit it on the head here. Just try to make the best video you can. Thats my goal.
I think its a mix a both. GradeAUnderA videos are basically made with Microsoft paint, but back before he was famous, he would not only upload consistently, but would also put in effort in his videos despite not having much editing software to work with. Then again, i can't really think of any other youtubers that did something like this and made at least a million subscribers, so, maybe also luck
Man! He said life happens. If I had a single word for how much I'm learning this right now Id have the world in my palm! No really the stress is crazy stupid high. But you swing and dodge and make a cold glass of lemonade in the end and watch the last bits of sunset. Do I understand this? Absolutely I understand it!
It's fun though 😻
Does it matter if you post two videos per week for the algorithm? Do the videos get in each others way, like the first video will stop being pushed?
Think more about the audience and their capacity to absorb two videos a week. Plenty of channels do it (I've even dropped two videos this week!) and I think in most cases two is right on the money. Make sure they are spaced out and not back to back (eg. post one Sunday and another on Thursday, and not Monday then Tuesday).
In my case it’s two different games (similar genre) but I’ve read that the best days to post is beginning of the week, hence I’m hesitant.. because one video would have to be near the end in order to space it out. But thank you!! Your response helps. I just have to think about it some more. 😊
Nice job 👍
I've gotten a lot more traction lately when I stopped making two videos per week to 1 but put way more time and effort into that 1 video. The trap that can be easy to fall into though and I have to catch myself is not feeling like "well if I can't make the best possible video than there's no point." I need to get better with putting a lot of effort into a video I think has a good chance of doing well, and being okay with less on ones where I know the chance is much lower.
Exactly what i face. Life and work get in the way.
So you're saying if you didn't need to work, and didn't really have a busy life (for example, a spouse or kids) you'd be uploading a lot more?
@@Bullboy_Adventures Yep. I'd easily be on my 2 or 3 video a month regime. My channel is not monetized nor even close so work pays the bills and let's me fund the channel. As for monetizing the channel, if it does happen I then have to do a Conflict of Interest report to work due to my position. They'd likely see none so I could continue the channel. Since I'm not getting any income it's only a hobby to them and me.
@@aa3konthego huh, well now you're kinda making me feel pathetic, cause I don't have a job (I'm legally disabled) nor do I have a family to take care of, per say. I really gotta get my act together
I am a resin artist when I make video with techniques and hard work it's hardly seen and the moment video is just random no technique involved it's gets popular. 😐
thankyou
Am working on ...video quality
.😮
Thanks Nick!
No problem!
How many videos have you made to date? What’s the most content you can make in one day? Evergreen content constantly is my goal but how to get people to replay an entire lfv is my main goal any advice? Has anyone ever watched a lfv more than once and if so share the link please
Hey Nick, if my channel was rejected by the YT partner , can i delete all the video and reupload different videos and be monitize? My channel already have the required subscribers, hence the question!
If you delete the videos, you delete any accrued watch time, so you would have to earn that again.
@@NickNimmin Okay understand, after getting back the watch hours the can be monitize?
If your channel checks out by the human review, yes. You will be able to re-apply.
invalid traffic is killing my channel... maybe a video on that can help me and other creators
Nothing we can do. I’m dealing with it also.
We can probably all relate to this video! I’m editing a video now that is taking a long time probably because the content wasn’t quite that great to begin with but because of the time into it I’ll post it anyway as a “quantity” video vs “quality.” Sometimes you just have to get those published and move on! And then you really never know how it will perform I guess! Ah CZcams, it’s fun! Haha
Yep. Publishing and then moving on to publish another...then another...and another...lol.
I think it's both. At least when starting out. Once you have a community who'll return to your videos even if it ends up being once a month, quantity isn't as important but it's still good to be consistent. No matter what, you need good quality. Which I find can be hard to pinpoint. The funny thing is 2 of my 3 most successful videos I remember thinking 'i don't care'. I still edited but I didn't care if it didn't do good. 🤷♀️
One time that quantity that builds a community of viewers who'll return will not work is when you take over 2 years off.
Thank you Nick, this video is spot on. I’m aiming to get out at least one video a week, but I also have a special needs adult son to take care of and I travel to another state to help with my dad who is 92. I try to set time when it’s quiet to do my videos so I don’t feel rushed. I think everyone needs to take their time making videos also so you don’t get burnout. Thanks for all you do for the CZcams community ❤😊.
🙏
Thanks for sharing this wonderful tips ❤
I started out just dropping videos from my phone. Bts of my freelance photography/ videography. But soon realized that I’m in the space of visual media. So I started to upgrade my video quality. Now I don’t post as consistently. But I’m more confident in my video quality. I also send potential clients my CZcams link to say here’s a little bit more about me and how I work. So I believe that quality is a bit better than consistency
👊 🤓
been on youtube for about 5 year now my view are the same around 100 views but i am trying to get better though
i started a new channel one video a week to see how that goes with a new channel name
I agree its a balance. CZcams is such a science
It is.
@Nick Nimmin consistency is what I strive to do posting every Thursday late afternoon. But yes work and family can be hectic. My quality can always be better though lol. Thank you Nick. 🙂
thank you for the information..it was really helpful..we keep striving each day...Giving up is never an option ❤❤❤
Quality vs quantity is the endless topic 😊
Hit the spot ! Appreciate your time.

I truly think you should always do what you wanna do at the end of the day. You should be just be happy with what you’re doing growing or not, but you should always do whatever you think is comfortable to grow. What is quality?
informative content Thanks Nick.
3:05 Yep, it happened with me a few times. I made a few over 45-minute videos and they get literally no more than 40 views, yet my shorter videos somehow get a lot more traction and likes than the longer videos.
Hence why I make any long form video no more than 30 minutes long now.
Basically don't let perfect be an enemy of good or even great. Do what you do and learn to improve over time... yes?

I just upload when the time permits lol But I make sure it’s in good quality! I like long form content more because you can create shorts from it. You can’t do the same for the other way around.
I totally agree, sometimes you just don't know and you must just keep publishing
Quality has helped me grow my channel! I upload less (2 videos a week) so my channel can breathe so my audience doesnt get annoyed with a lot of uploads. Consistency when it comes to my niche helps me grow my channel and earn the views because people like pop culture and thats what most people are looking for on my channel!
Great information; thanks 😇
Glad it was helpful!
I would say bit of both. Because not everyone can afford the subscription fees for the better softwares or high end cameras to make quality videos. Long as you give your audience good content I doubt they care about quality.

Hey there
2 videos a day and lot of shorts. The ones I like and feel are the best mostly get lower views and the ones I just do to do and feel it’s not that good blow up :)
4:42 if you meant the other word, why not just rerecord that line? Plus, recording one line split over two different camera takes is just fancy nonsense. KISS, as they say.
Why does it matter? The idea got expressed. Adding the correction in text was keeping it simple.
@@NickNimmin For the second bit, it's jarring. When one person talks to another in a normal conversation, you express it all in one sentence, not broken up into extra ones, approaching their face from different angles.
For the first bit, as for the text overlay, you have almost a million subs. If you can't just re-record a new bit to slot in, that's lazy. It would take less time to do that than add the caption! Look at how Linus was roasted by Gamers Nexus for doing the same thing.
Quality i d say
