2. Overall good experience, however, initially they were not able to understand English DL, but eventually they let us take the car
3. Roads are superb and there are cameras throughout the highways. Should definitely follow the rules, else police will stop you and you will end paying fines. We also paid once for exceeding speed limit!

We went in Feb. However, December is much colder. If you prefer that, you can plan. Turkey is beautiful in winter :)

Hi Shivi! Loved your Turkey series. I'm planning a very similar 10 days road trip to Turkey in April 2023. Can you please advice on the road conditions and was the route doable and manageable or did it get very tiring for this short span? Any advice will be helpful!
Hey! We did this in Feb with a little snow. April should be even better. Roads are amazing. Would definitely recommend driving! We used to drive 4-5 hours a day max except last leg which was 8-9 hours (Cappadocia to Istanbul)!
Easy ! Just imagine india without stray dogs , cow and people urinating and spitting or defecating on the the roads . Also imagine india without slums and millions begging on roads . Also imagine india without touts pissing tourists off on the streets . Also imagine india without filthy and shit in every nook and corner .

Hey - you can ask your hotel to book air balloon trip in advance as this one gets booked early! You can pay at the hotel later as well!
For rest, you can book when in turkey!

Where did you book your car from? What was the cost for the road trip including rental, toll, fuel and insurance?
Hi - we got cars via rental cars.com. Agency was Avec Car rentals. Our total cost for a week was 28k for rental including insurance. Fuel and tolls costed around 15-16k for the trip.

Most hotels + shops around tourist places understand English. This won't be a problem. Turkey is relatively cheaper now with depriciating currency.

Hi - personally we prefer driving. It was very convenient and the roads were very nice to drive! Would definitely recommend driving !

Hi, it was around 25k including fuel and insurance. However, it’s been 2 years and prices would have changed.
In our itinerary, this was the best that we could fit and hence, we didn’t visit Trabzon. Hope this helps.

We stayed in Hagiya Sofia Mansions by Hilton and Galata hotel in Istanbul, Perge Hotel Antalya, Paris residences cesme and Elite Cave suites in Cappadocia!
