- Over three days adventure ultra cyclist Christian Orry rides from the German-Danish border to the northernmost city in Denmark, Skagen. He follows the entire west coast of the Danish peninsula, Jutland.
The 650-kilometer cycling adventure is completed with changing local people, each contributing with a unique knowledge of the areas and nature of the journey. From the Tønder marsh in the south to Thy National Park in the north. From moorland and majestic dunes to wind-blown fjords and the roaring North Sea.
The film is a cycling tale in some of Denmark's most unique terrain, and explores the joys of nature and the various motives for loving cycling - especially the kind that takes place off-road.
Thank you for NOT putting music over the clips of you cycling, so we can hear that GRAVEL! Yaaaaasssssss! Love it. Crinkle crunch!
The sound of gravel is part of the attraction of cycling offroad ❤️
Thanks for the English subtitles!
Hi Michael. Sure... our language (Danish) is only spoken by 5 mio. people or so, so not many people would see it without the subtitles :-)
A great movie dedicated to a great sport. I've been to Denmarks east coast a couple of times, but the west coast does look more rural. Such a beautiful country overall.
Thank you Benjamin. It is indeed a beautiful country, and you're absolutely right: If you want to experience Denmark a bit more rural and "rough" - go to the West Coast.
Nice ode to what looks like a beautiful adventure.
Thanks. It was indeed a beautiful adventure :-)
Flot arbejde - fed film !
Thanks Ulrik
Whew I woulda thought Denmark is all like Germany, villages and towns and pasture. Now it might just be on the bucket list!
Thanks Ben! It's definitely a lovely ride up the West Coast of Denmark.
I am playing with the idea of moving to Denmark and this is helping
Thanks Finley!
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Thank you Bryan. We're glad you liked it.
What a wonderful gravel adventure Christian. I usually ride only on roads here in Australia but your film inspires me to try gravel riding. I just need to get a suitable bike. If my wife lets me!
Hi Jack. Thanks... yes it was a true adventure. I (Christian) have been in Australia 10 years ago, and it feels like one of the ultimate places to own a gravel bike. Just ask your wife to write me a message, and I will be more than happy to deliver the sales speech :-)
Fantastik film. Savner at komme ud og cykle på gruset og tømme hovedet.
Tak for de pæne ord. Ja, det er en helt vidunderlig oplevelse at cykle ude i naturen... og Vestkysten er formidabel. God jul!
Beautiful! Well done.
Thanks Jim
amazing, looking forward to ride parts of this route this summer
Thanks Elvar. It's also a stunning part of Denmark.
Beautiful ride a cinematography 👏👏👏.
Regard from a gravel/off road rider in Florida.
Thank you for the kind words. We also genuinely loved filming the movie.
Beautifully filmed!
Thank you for the kind words.
That was a fanatstic video! We are going to cycle a version of this route in Oct.
Have fun. It’s an amazing place to cycle.
Virkelig flot og inspirerede film 🚲✔️
Tusind tak 👌
We went to Legoland by car and rode up north through this area. It is simply amazing. I kept wishing I would have had my bike and let the family go ahead by car.
Do that next time Chinarello... or take the journey on bike with your family. It's an amazing area.
@@AdventureUltraCycling Yeah, not a bad idea. The only huzzle is getting there. It is pretty remote.
lækker video takker.
Velbekomme :-) Vi er glade for at du kunne lide den!
I don't understand what they are saysing but the scenery/cinemathography is meditating.... Sound off and just breath..
Thanks for the nice words 👌 We talk Danish in the movie. You can turn on English subtitles if you want to know what we are saying.
How did youb do the graphic at 1:34 its looks amazing!
Thanks 👌 The outline is done in Adobe Illustrator and the animation in Davinci Resolve.
Fantastisk film!
Hi Jakob, great video and storytelling. Was wondering which camera gear you used during your adventure.
Thank you Jan. I used two Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K with prime lenses, a Ronin S stabiliser, Mixpre-6 with Sennheiser microports and a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.
nice
Thanks 👌
Nicely done and great landscapes! Would there be a way to get a hold of the track? :-)
Thanks Stef.

@@AdventureUltraCycling awesome.
i don't understand speed / road cycling
so i'm never going to buy a gravel bike
i cycle offroad on a hard tail MTB, i'm not about speed, i'm about getting outdoors, a smoothe ride, smelling the roses...sunlight/vitamin D
We’re talking Danish 😎 Just turn on English subtitles and you’ll know. Thanks for watching 👍
Is there a route or gpx track of this trip somewhere?

Why do you use an englisch title but talking all the time in a whatever language?
Hi StrongbowJava
We're talking Danish since it's our mother tongue. The whole film has got English subtitles, so everyone (who reads English), can enjoy the film. We use an English title, so that people easier can search for the film. We could have chosen to speak English in the film, but felt it would be strange since it's not our mother tongue.
@@AdventureUltraCycling thx. I support your motivation and upvote now.
i knew cycling was going to be massive a decade ago but no one listens to me lol 🤣it is the perfect low impact holiday, tiny carbon footprint, kinder on the environment than travelling around on top of a dirty fossil fuel engine
...and you get to smell and feel nature while cycling. Win/win.
