Category wise means there are approx 23 heads for current affairs like Awards, Sports, Banks, Economy, International, Appointment etc.Main source was Study iq Gaurav sir's daily GA video. Then solved daily mcq tests of gktoday, affairs cloud & bankers adda. After every 15 days, Gaurav Garg brings Best mcqs of half month, which i used to mark in my notes. And the process continued.
As per my experience and opinion I would like to suggest that 8 to 10 months of current affairs study is essential for phase 1 and 2 both. It will be helpful to know in brief about important current affairs topics since last year. Reading newspaper regularly ( not for preparation only) is very helpful

Ramesh singh economy njan oru UPSC aspirants ayond upsckum eebtext good ayirunnu but ☝️ in economics and social issues paper of rbi grade b phase 2 , there are 80% current affairs based questions and just 20-30% related to concept of economics… If your concept is clear , then you don't need a economics book to read it bcze they never ask direct questions from that book…
